1500194 Securing stay arrangement V SANDBERG 20 Jan 1975 [18 Jan 1974] 2400/75 Heading E2A A securing stay arrangement for a window has a hook - shaped arm 1, Fig. 1, which is pivotably mountable on a frame 5, for example, and is provided with a spring 9, and a pin 6 which can be fitted on a sash 8, for example. In an embodiment the arm I is pivotably mounted, by a rivet 2, on a holder 3 which is connected to a window frame 5. The pin 6 is mounted on a holder 7, Fig. 2, which is secured to the sash 8. The spring 9 is fitted around the rivet 2, has an end 9a, Fig. 1, attached to the arm and an arm 9b attached to the holder, and urges the arm in the direction 10. The arm is provided with a surface 11, Fig. 3, which is engageable with a pin 12 on the holder 3 so as to limit the movement of the arm in the direction 10, and is provided with a slot 13. The latter has an opening 14 and a catching-groove 16 and receives the pin 6 therein. Thus the sash 8 can be retained by the arm 1 as shown by the dash-dot lines in Fig. 1 or released as shown in Fig. 3. If the arm 1 is held in the position as shown in full lines in Fig. 1 the sash can be opened beyond the position shown in broken lines. On closing the sash 8, the pin 6 will engage edge 18, Fig. 3, of the arm 1 and the latter will be returned. In another embodiment, as shown in Fig. 4, the arm 1 is pivotably mounted on the sash 8 and the pin 6 is carried by the frame 5.
