Abstract

1475964 Battery terminals CANYON MANAGEMENT (PTY) Ltd 8 May 1975 [12 May 1974] 19504/75 Heading H2E A battery terminal connector comprises a connector body 1 having a threaded hole 4, a threaded sleeve member 2 with formations 7, e.g. a hexagon head, with which to grip it for tightening and a tapered pin 3. The bared end of a cable 8 is threaded through the sleeve 2, the pin 3 driven into the end of the cable and the sleeve screwed into the body of the connector. Means to connect the body to a battery terminal may comprise a moulded body 11 with communicating recesses 14, 15 for the terminal post and the connector body, and a nut 12 or alternatively a spring to urge the connector body into engagement with the post, serrations 16 improving the contact.
