Abstract

1473846 Supporting floor shuttering ACROW (ENGS) Ltd 14 June 1974 [29 June 1973] 31212/73 Heading E1S Floor shuttering 18 is supported on beams 16 and a head plate 4 of a prop or prop fitting, the prop or fitting having a tubular lower support 8 rotatably and slidably mounted thereon beneath the head plate 4, and a tubular upper support 12 which is retained at a higher level by means, e.g. lugs 14, on the support 8 when the support 8 is in the position shown, but which drops to a lower level (Figs. 3, 4 not shown) when support 8 is rotated through 90‹, the lower surface 22 of the support 8 moving over a pin 20 in a spiral path downwards until lugs 14 can pass up through a slot 24 in the upper support 12, which is prevented from rotating by a pin 26 which also limits the downward movement of the support 12. The support 8 has a handle 25, and the lower abutment means may be arranged differently, i.e. e.g., the support 8 may carry a member engaging with an inclined surface on the shank 6 of the prop or fitting.
