834,111. Icing turntables. COLES, R. G. Nov. 19, 1958 [Nov. 20, 1957], No. 36099/57. Class 28 (1). [Also in Group XIV] An icing turntable comprises a turntable mounted for free rotation about an upright axis on a base which also carries an arm rest. As shown, a turntable 2 has a stub-shaft 7 which is removably placed in a ball-bearing 8 carried by a mounting 9. Mounting 9 is moved in a slot 10 in base 1 by a screwed rod 11, with a control knob 12, relatively to the arm rest. The arm rest comprises two vertical posts 3 mounted on base 1 and a horizontal bar 4 with sleeves 5 which slide on posts 3 and are held at the required height by grub-screws 6. The turntable has a central spike 13 to pierce the cake board. The turntable may be adjustable in height. The arm rest or a tool attachment adjustable in height may be pivoted so that a tool on its free end can engage the cake. Otherwise an icing nozzle may be provided on the free end and recesses for further nozzles or tools provided in the base.
