Abstract
1487363 Prop heads for floor shuttering ACROW (ENGS) Ltd 29 Jan 1975 [31 Jan 1974] 04647/74 Addition to 1427518 Heading E1S A prop head, for supporting shuttering for a concrete floor, comprises a tubular stem 14 having at one end a top support plate 17 and being screw-threaded on its outer surface along at least a portion of its length at 16, a nut 28 engaged on the screw-thread, and a lower support plate 22 and intermediate support plate 30 slidable together along the tubular stem and carried by the nut 28, the lower end of the stem 14 being engaged in use over the top end of a prop 6. The prop head is supported on the prop by a lower nut 18 on the screwthread, which bears on a pin 20 inserted through a slot 15 in the stem 14 and a selected hole 13 in the prop 6. The lower and intermediate support plates 22, 30 are secured to a sleeve 24, 29, and in use the support plates 22, 30 carry shuttering beams and panels (Fig. 3 not shown) which may be lowered and removed after the concrete has partially set, by lowering nuts 28, leaving the floor supported by the props through the top plates 17.
