Abstract

1458651 Centrifugal pumps BENDIX CORP 5 March 1975 [21 March 1974] 9197/75 Heading F1C A centrifugal pump for contaminated fluids has teeth 24 which co-operate with an annular groove 36 cutting across the impeller blades 30 for chopping contaminants within the fluid. The teeth 24 may project normally or obliquely from the wall 26 of a stationary chopper plate 4 and may be equally or unequally spaced. Short additional impeller blades 38 may be interposed between blades 30.
