Abstract

887,224. Centrifugal pumps. GOULDS PUMPS Inc., and PFAUDLER PERMUTIT Inc. April 11, 1958 [April 15, 1957], No. 11600/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 110 (1). The subject-matter of this Specification is identical with that described in Specification 887,225 with reference to Figs. 1 to 7 of that Specification, but the claims are concerned with a centrifugal pump comprising a sleeve formed integrally with the impeller hub and extending through an opening in the pump casing to a position well beyond the exterior of the casing, a driving shaft extending into the sleeve, the exterior of the shaft engaging the interior of the sleeve to retain the impeller on the shaft, and sealing means between the sleeve and the wall of the casing, the interior of the casing, the exterior of the sleeve and the impeller being glass-coated. Specification 887,226 also is referred to.
