Abstract

1410850 Burners SAUNIER DUVAL 10 Dec 1973 [28 Dec 1972] 57178/73 Heading F4T A burner has a mixing chamber with an elongated outlet over which fits a V-cross-sectioned cover 5 with a plurality of parallel slots 8 opening into the depending edges. The lateral boundary (3a, 3b) of the outlet is provided with a plurality of spaced notches 9a, 9b which communicate with the slots 8 to provide gas-air mixture passages for lateral flames. The notches 9a are uniformly spaced along the side 3a and are staggered relative to the notches 9b which are non-uniformly spaced along the side 3b. In a bank of such burners the lateral flames of one burner are staggered relative to the adjacent burners so no common flame is formed.
