1376054 Change-speed gear T CAMPAGNOLO 13 April 1972 [13 April 1971] 17145/72 Addition to 1140212 Heading F2D In a chain-shift cycle gear in which parallelogram links 3, 4, lying in a plane at right angles to the drive chain, pivot on an angled plate 2 of folded sheet metal bolted at 9 to a frame-attached member 1, one, 3, of the links is of folded sheet metal, with a cable-attachment lug (10) and movement-limiting screws 12, 13; the other link 4 is of double strip form and has a projection 18 limiting movement of the spring-loaded carrier 6 of the tension and guide sprockets 19; the said folded support part 5, pivoted to the links 3, 4; and the pivot 20 of the sprocket-carrier is on the axis of the lower sprocket 19, and carries a tension spring 23. A spring 7 around the pivot 8 biases the links 3, 4 away from the chain. The bolt heads carry inset initialled display plates.
