Abstract

1336125 Window drainage R H WELSBY 14 Jan 1971 [15 Oct 1969] 50611/69 Heading E1J Means for conducting away water due to condensation from the interior surface of e.g. a window pane 6, Fig. 1 comprises a backing member or strip 10 e.g. of stainless steel, non- ferrous metal, or plastics material and is of L- section with upstanding and horizontal backing limbs 7, 8, locating against surfaces of the rebate 4 and a top strip 11 of L-form in section, the upstanding limb 12 of which is provided with a perforated flange 14 whilst the lower limb 13 is indented at localities 16 to space the member 11 from member 10 and' provide drainage passage ways 17, 18 therebetween to outlets between the free edges of limbs 8, 13. The limbs 8 and 13 are secured together by spot welding at the indentations 16 and secured to the window frame member 5 by e.g. screws at these locations. The free edge 20 of the limb 8 may be provided with outlet gaps 22 when the lower limb 8 has an inclined flange 20 contacting the downwardly directed flange 21 of the lower limb 13. Tags 19 assist in glazing.
