Abstract

The condensation tray consists of a moulded length of plastic which can be fitted into the bottom rebate of a window to hold the glass and provide weep slits for diverting condensation to the outside of the window.

Description

CONDENSATION TRAY DESCRIPTION This invention concerns a condensation tray. Getting rid of condensation has always been a major headache for many years. One existing way of getting rid of it is to fit U.P.V.C. double glazed windows, which have drainage holes under the double glazed unit which allows any water which does form to trickle away to the outside. These type of windows can be very costly though compared to the conventional single glazed windows.
Regarding this invention it should not be expensive to produce once the initial layout has been established and would be easy to fit prior to fitting the glass.
By refering to the drawing it can be seen in the elevation how the tray is fixed to the back of the window rebates, and in the plan can be seen the drainage grooves.

Claims (1)

  1. The condensation tray is a moulded length of plastic which fits into the bottom rebate of a window or window opener prior to the glass being fitted. The glass sits into the tray and as the tray has weep slits it diverts the condensation to the outside of the window.
