Abstract

1326213 Spreaders for lifting containers RUBERY OWEN & CO Ltd 20 April 1971 [21 April 1970] 18906/70 Heading B8H A carrier 1 and spreader frame 4 for handling containers are connected by vertical links 3 each of whose upper ends extends through a bearing 6 mounted in a seating 5 such that it can rock in the seating, the link being mounted in the bearing 6 by means of a collar 7 having a spigot portion 8 extending downwardly through the base of the bearing 6. The frame 4 is movable relative to the carrier 1 by means of a ram (29), Fig. 1 (not shown) mounted at each end of the carrier 1 and connected to a bracket (31) on the carrier 1 and also to a pin (26) on the end of the spreader frame 4.
