Abstract

1404475 Releasable fastenings TOWMOTOR CORP 7 Nov 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 51370/72 Heading E2A [Also in Division B8] A container handling frame (10), (Division B8), has a pair of legs (52), 54 pivotally mounted thereon, Fig 1, (not shown), each of said legs being pivotal about a pin 72, fixed to a bracket assembly 74 mounted on the container handling frame, from a vertically extending operative position, Fig 5, to a horizontally disposed inoperative position, and each of said legs comprises a locking end 58 and a flat ground engaging member 56, the locking end 58 having a cam roller 60 which engages in one of two notches 78, 80 formed in the associated bracket assembly 74 depending on whether the leg is vertical or horizontally disposed, the engagement of the roller 60 in one of the notches locking the said leg in the associated position. A hydraulic ram 84 produces the movement of each leg between the two said positions the cam roller 60 moving along a cam surface 82.
