Abstract
1281474 Control of A.C. motors ELITEXZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 7 Aug 1970 [1 Sept 1969] 38105/70 Heading H2J A circular knitting machine is driven by a main two-speed motor 17 and an auxiliary single-speed motor 16. Closure of a main switch 2 energizes both contactors 6, 9, which have normally-open and normally-closed contacts, through a transformer 26 as well as contacts 20, 20b, and 21a, 21b. The auxiliary motor 16 alone is then energized. Actuation of pushbutton 22 operates relay 21 to open contacts 21a, 21b, so that the contactors 6, 9, are selectively energized in accordance with the position of the switch 20. When contactor 9 alone is energized, power is supplied to the motor 16 and to the winding I of the motor 17. If contactor 6 only is energized, the motor 16 is still supplied with power while the winding II of the motor 17 is now effective.
