Abstract
1,194,236. Track unit. IDEAL TOY CORP. 22 Nov., 1967 [12 Oct., 1967], No. 53131/67. Heading A6S. An accessary track unit 10 (the underside of which is shown in Fig. 3) has formed therein a section 16a of a main guide groove 16 and an intersecting branch guide groove 16b, a first switch 24 pivoted at 26 and having switch members 24b and 24a respectively operating in the main and branch guides, switch member 24b being moved to a clearance position with respect to grave 16a when contacted by vehicle guide 22 depending from a first battery driven vehicle 20, switch member 24a being simultaneously moved, by the pivoting action of switch 24, to release a second vehicle 18, with depending guide 22 in branch guide groove 16b, to pursue the first vehicle. The depending guide 22 of the second vehicle 18 then contacts switch member 32b of a second switch 32, pivoted at 34 (cf. fig. 4), thus moving switch 32 so that contact 32a on its lower end makes the circuit, at 23a, containing a battery-driven siren. Switch member 32c is simultaneously moved into the main guide groove 16a so that when the first vehicle 20 has traversed the main track its depending guide 22 contacts member 32c causing a reverse movement of the switch 32c and subsequent breaking of the siren circuit. Fig. 5 shows the construction of the sound device in which cylindrical member 23c rotates, driven by battery-driven motor 23b, part openings 23d of a stationary housing.
