Abstract

1,192,088. Photo-sensitive materials. KALLE A.G. Sept.1, 1967 [Sept.2, 1966], No. 40097/67. Heading G2C. A photo-sensitive material comprises an aluminium support, a first layer containing a water-soluble paradiazodiphenylamine salt or a condensate thereof with an aldehyde and a second layer containing a water-insoluble para-benzo- or para-benzoimino-quinone diazide. A polymer may be added to either or to both layers. The support may be coated with a silicate, polyacrylic acid or phosphonic acid or be chemically treated before the light-sensitive layers are applied. The material is imagewise exposed and developed with aqueous alkaline solution to remove the unexposed areas of both layers and produce a printing plate.
