Abstract

1,132,471. Signs. VAUXHALL MOTORS Ltd. 2 June, 1966 [7 July, 1965], No. 28742/65. Heading G5C. [Also in Division E2] An ornament or indicium is made of synthetic resin material and has two hollow fastener studs 3 for press-fitting into spaced holes in a support, each stud having an outside surface which is capable of snap engagement with its hole. As shown the outside surface of each stud, from an oval shape in a first radial plane VI-VI intermediate its length, changes smoothly in shape in both axial directions respectively to circular in second V-V and third VII, VII radial planes on opposite sides of the first radial plane and the portion of the stud between said second and third planes extends radially outwardly to form a pair of shoulders for snap engagement with the hole. In an alternative form in said first plane the oval shape of each sheet has a minor axis less than, and a major axis not greater than, the diameter of the circular shapes, so that the stud has a waist in the first plane. The ornament or indicium may be metal plated.
