Abstract

1,073,232. Collapsible huts. R. & H. WALE (JOINERY) Ltd. Jan. 27, 1965 [Jan. 28, 1964], No. 3649/64. Heading E1A. A collapsible hut comprises front, back and side wall units of plywood arranged to be detached from or folded onto a floor structure and to detachably receive when erected a roof, the floor, roof and wall units being flat to facilitate packaging. The wall units are secured to corner posts by diagonal plates and screwthreaded dowel pins, see Fig. 9 (not shown), the side walls being hinged to the floor at different levels, Fig. 6 (not shown) and the front and back walls fixed tothe box by coach screws engaging open-slotted angle brackets Fig. 7 (not shown). The gutter roof sections 43 are fixed by toggle-mechanisms, see Fig. 10 (not shown). The hut may be provided with a hinged canopy 67 supported on corner posts 72 stub tenoned into a floor 73, a detachable balustrade being provided as shown.
