Abstract

In an automatic pouring arrangement, the pouring is stopped by means comprising a photo-electric cell directed on to an overflow basin 5 connected by a short passage 6 to the upper part of the pouring funnel 5. The moulds M are carried on an intermittently moving conveyer 6, pouring being initiated by the engagement of a lug 18 with a limit switch 19. The ladle may be a bottom pourer.
