Abstract

1,028,144. Suspended ceilings. JOHN BLAND (SPECIALISTS) Ltd. Oct. 15, 1964 [Oct. 22, 1963], No. 41610/63. Heading E1V. In a suspended ceiling, the opposite end of tiles 2 are supported by flanges on spaced support members 1 and the opposite sides of the tiles are each provided with a longitudinally extending groove in which one flange of a channel section noggin 3 is engaged, the other flange of the noggin engaging the upper surface of the tile. At one end of the tile 2 each noggin may projects beyond the lower part of the tile while the lower part of the other end of the tile project beyond and is spaced by a groove from the adjacent ends of the noggins. The ends of the tiles may also be grooved to receive channel section members 4 which extend between the noggins which engage the sides of the tiles.
