Abstract

Plastics injection-moulded heat exchanger cover has stiffening ribs on the outer wall. Preferably the lateral depth of the ribs corresponds to the depth of a border foot, and the ribs run as far as the outer edge of a base edge; they have supports projecting over this outer edge, and at the base edge have apertures through which run the webs of an inner seal to an outer sealing crown. The border foot has apertures through which seal webs run similarly. Fasteners enable mounting in a housing, and run over the outer contour of the base edge. The cover flanks have high strength, and additional seals are not required to seal the exchanger in a housing.
