Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of pairs of capsules assembled together and respectively comprising two different phases to be mixed in order to obtain a personalized cosmetic product.
  • two capsules are introduced into a machine intended to mix the two phases they contain to produce a personalized ready-to-use cosmetic product.
  • the two capsules are arranged in the extension of one another, which allows total fluidity of the circulation of the mixture in the communication channel located between the two capsules.
  • EN 2894942 discloses a device for packaging and dispensing products to be mixed.
  • this total fluidity of circulation in the communication channel between the two capsules leads to a certain size of the mixing chamber containing these two capsules, especially in length.
  • the invention for the sake of improved compactness of the mixing chamber allowing further miniaturization of the mixing machine, proposes a new relative arrangement of the capsules together as well as a new layout of the communication channel connecting these two capsules.
  • the invention discloses a capsule according to claim 14.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a pair of capsules at least partially overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks.
  • the invention aims to provide a pair of capsules interconnected by a communication channel between capsules which comprises two transmissions at right angles, thus preferably forming the three sides of a rectangle.
  • the saving in space occupied by the capsules is substantial, the overall bulk being reduced, in particular in the direction of the length.
  • the reluctance to bend the communication channel between capsules for fear of hindering the fluidity of the circulation of the mixture inside the channel, is overcome; indeed, surprisingly, the mixture circulates sufficiently fluidly in the communication channel between the capsules despite the presence of the two bends at right angles.
  • this particular compactness with two bends at right angles to the communication channel makes it possible to facilitate a more efficient arrangement of two interesting functions of a machine in which the pair of capsules will be able to be introduced, namely a first function of expulsion of the contents of each capsule by pressure of a piston, the two pistons thus being able to be opposite each other, and a second function of heating the contents of the capsules by direct contact with a heating element which can thus be located just between the two capsules which can be arranged facing one another.
  • the present invention proposes a pair of capsules according to claim 1 dependent on claim 14.
  • the two bends at right angles are arranged so that at least a portion of the part of narrowed section of the communication channel comprising the two bends at right angles forms the three sides of a rectangle.
  • the invention further relates to a capsule according to claim 14.
  • the invention comprises one or more of the following characteristics which can be used separately or in partial combination with each other or in total combination with each other, with one or other of the aforementioned objects of the invention .
  • the ratio between, on the one hand, the narrowed section of the communication channel and, on the other hand, the section of one or the other of said pockets is sufficiently low to cause shearing of the mixture of formulations which passes through it.
  • the mixture between the two phases respectively contained in the two capsules is produced in a more homogeneous manner.
  • the narrow section part of the communication channel comprises a male connector part and a female connector part which respectively belong to the two capsules and which are nested one inside the other.
  • the assembly of the capsules together and their connection by a communication channel is carried out simply and in a sealed manner using a connector already preinstalled and distributed between the two capsules, one connector part per capsule.
  • the male and female connector parts nested one inside the other are arranged in the intermediate side of the three rectangle sides formed by the communication channel, which is orthogonal to the other two sides of the rectangle.
  • junction between connector parts takes place approximately halfway the communication channel between the two capsules, each capsule carrying, before junction, an equivalent part of this communication channel.
  • one of said bends is arranged at the level of the internal end of the male part of the connector which is opposite the external end of the male part of the connector intended to first fit into the outer end of the female connector part
  • the other of said elbows is arranged at the level of the inner end of the female connector part which is opposite the outer end of the female connector part intended to snap into the outer end of the male connector part first.
  • connection between the connector part and the rest of the communication channel leading to one or the other of the capsules is made at one or the other of the two elbows, which simplifies the connection. .
  • the male connector part is a hollow tube of molded plastic with a molded plastic flange located opposite the outer end of the male connector part

  • each of the collars is welded to a film closing the pocket of the capsule which does not contain said collar.
  • the film has a firm and flat support to which it can be simply and robustly attached, so as to avoid untimely detachment.
  • each pocket is flattened, one of its two faces being flat, the other of its two faces being curved at least in part and flexible so as to allow the expulsion of the contents of the pocket by mechanical pressure on it .
  • the flat face of the pocket allows simple and homogeneous heating of each of the capsules.
  • the rounded and flexible face of the pocket simply allows the contents of the pocket to be completely expelled from this pocket, by simple mechanical pressure on the pocket of the capsule.
  • the at least partially domed face of the pocket is formed by a thermoformed shell containing said phase
  • the flat face of the pocket is formed by a film covering this shell, the film being preferentially welded onto this shell, advantageously welded by thermal heating.

  • said constant-section channel portion has a section of between 0.5 and 3 mm 2 , preferably between 1 and 2 mm 2 .
  • this low channel section value accelerates the mixture passing through the channel and causes its pressure to drop, thus improving the shearing of the mixture leaving the channel, shearing which, becoming greater, improves the homogenization of the mixture between the contents of the pockets of two separate capsules.
  • said channel has a size or a diameter which is at most 20% of the size or of the diameter of the pocket, preferably at most 15%, even more preferably at most 12%.

  • a flat film 17 covers the thermoformed shell 16, both at the level of the first capsule 1 and the second capsule 2.
  • the inter-capsule communication channel comprises, a first right-angle bend formed by the section 13 and the male connector 10 fitted into the female connector 20, as well as a second right-angle bend formed by the male connector 10 fitted into the female connector 20 and the section 23.
  • circulation of the mixture between pockets 11 and 21 follows a path forming the three sides of a rectangle, the first long side comprising the first pocket 11, the first buffer zone 12, the section 13, the second long side comprising the second pocket 21 , the second buffer zone 22, the section 23, the short side joining the two aforementioned long sides and comprising the male connector 10 fitted into the female connector 20.
  • the pair of capsules 1 and 2 assembled together respectively comprises two different phases to be mixed to obtain a personalized cosmetic product, and comprises two pockets 11 and 21 respectively containing the two different phases and being respectively included in the two capsules 1 and 2 and being connected between them by a channel of communication comprising at least one part of narrowed section with respect to the two pockets 11 and 21, this part of narrowed section of the communication channel comprising two bends at right angles, the first bend comprising the channel parts 13 and 10 at right angles to the one another, the second bend comprising the channel portions 23 and 10 at right angles to each other.
  • These two bends at right angles are arranged so that at least a portion of the part of narrowed section of the communication channel comprising the two bends at right angles forms the three sides of a rectangle.
  • Each single-use deformable capsule 1 or 2 comprises an extended pocket 11 and 12 (or 21 and 22) containing a predetermined quantity of only one of the two phases, the mixture of which forms a ready-to-use cosmetic product, a narrowing in the form channel opening on one side into the extended pocket 11 and 12 (or 21 and 22) and on the other side outside the capsule 1 or 2.
  • Each extended pocket 11 and 12 (or 21 and 22) is flattened, one of its two faces being flat, the other of its two faces being curved at least in part and flexible so as to allow the expulsion of the contents of the extended pocket 11 and 12 (or 21 and 22) by mechanical pressure on it.
  • Each extended pocket 11 and 12 comprises two compartments 11 and 12 (or 21 and 22), separated by a frangible wall 14 or 24, the pocket proper 11 or 21 and the adjoining buffer zone 12 or 22 in which the actual pocket 11 or 21 will be able to extend after rupture of the frangible wall 14 or 24.
