Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The present invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaners equipped with a vacuum cleaner nozzle, also called a suction head, making it possible to suck up dust and small-particle waste present on a surface.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

Vacuum cleaners equipped with a vacuum cleaner nozzle are well known on the market, these making it possible to clean surfaces by suction for the evacuation of dust and waste of small particle size resting thereon. The surface to be vacuumed can for example be tiles, parquet, laminate, carpet or carpet.

A vacuum cleaner nozzle traditionally comprises a connecting sleeve and a sole provided with a lower face and a suction channel communicating with the connecting sleeve and opening onto the lower face of the sole. The underside of the sole is intended to be positioned adjacent to the surface to be vacuumed during use of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.

The sole of the vacuum cleaner nozzle can for example be provided with a suction channel extending transversely to a direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, and with a front sliding surface and a rear sliding surface located on either side of the suction channel.

Such a configuration of the vacuum cleaner nozzle induces a greater suction pressure in the central part of the suction channel than in the side portions of the suction channel, and this because the suction channel is connected to the sleeve connecting via a connecting conduit opening into the central part of the suction channel. This difference suction between the central part of the sole and the lateral edges of the latter can be a source of dissatisfaction for a user.

EP 2 989 954 A1 discloses a vacuum cleaner nozzle comprising a sole which has a rear sliding surface and a rear part separated by a convex connecting surface.

WO 2016 / 141 959 A1 discloses a vacuum cleaner nozzle comprising a sole which has a rear sliding surface with a straight front edge substantially parallel to the direction of extension of the suction channel.

Résumé de l'inventionSummary of the invention

The present invention aims to remedy all or part of these drawbacks.

The technical problem underlying the invention consists in particular in providing a vacuum cleaner nozzle with a reliable and economical structure, while guaranteeing improved suction performance.

To this end, the present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner nozzle comprising a sole provided with a lower face and a suction channel opening onto the lower face and extending in a direction of extension which is substantially transverse to a direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, the suction channel comprising a front edge and a rear edge, the underside comprising a rear sliding surface and a front sliding surface situated on opposite sides of the suction channel suction, characterized in that the underside of the sole comprises a rear part, preferably planar, set back from the rear sliding surface and a connecting surface connecting the rear sliding surface to the rear part, and in that the bonding surface is convex, a convexity of the bonding surface being oriented away from the suction channel.

Such a configuration of the underside of the sole promotes the passage of air at the level of the end portions of the suction channel, and thus guarantees satisfactory suction over substantially the entire length of the suction channel, which improves the performance of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.

The vacuum cleaner nozzle may further have one or more of the following features, taken alone or in combination.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connecting surface connects the rear sliding surface to the rear part so as to form a clearance at the rear of the rear sliding surface.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connecting surface is curved.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connecting surface is convex, and for example curved, seen in a plane passing through the front and rear edges of the suction channel.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connecting surface is convex, and for example curved, from a first side part of the sole to a second side part of the sole which is opposite the first side part.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the rear sliding surface has a rear edge which is curvilinear, and preferably rounded.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the rear sliding surface has a front edge substantially parallel to the direction of extension of the suction channel. Advantageously, the front edge of the rear sliding surface is substantially rectilinear.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connecting surface extends over substantially the entire length of the sole.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connecting surface extends from a first side edge of the sole to a second side edge of the sole. Advantageously, the connecting surface is convex, and for example curved, from the first side edge of the sole to the second side edge of the sole.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the rear sliding surface comprises a central portion and two lateral portions arranged on either side of the central portion, the two lateral portions of the rear sliding surface being adjacent respectively to two opposite end portions of the suction channel, the rear sliding surface having a width which decreases from the central portion of the rear sliding surface toward each of the ends of the side portions of the rear sliding surface. These provisions promote the passage of air at the end portions of the suction channel, and therefore guarantee satisfactory suction over substantially the entire length of the suction channel, which improves the performance of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the rear edge of the suction channel is substantially parallel to the front edge of the suction channel.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the rear sliding surface is inclined with respect to the horizontal by an angle of inclination comprised between 2 and 5°, and for example between 2.5 and 3°, when the front and rear edges of the suction channel are arranged in a substantially horizontal plane. These provisions make it possible to ensure a sufficient air supply to the vacuum cleaner nozzle to allow the suction of the waste without however venting the vacuum cleaner nozzle.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the rear sliding surface is substantially planar.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the front sliding surface is inclined with respect to the horizontal by an angle of inclination comprised between 2 and 5°, and for example between 2 and 3°, when the front edges and rear of the suction channel are arranged in a substantially horizontal plane. These provisions also make it possible to ensure a sufficient air supply to the vacuum cleaner nozzle to allow the suction of the waste without however venting the vacuum cleaner nozzle.

Description détailléedetailed description

The figures 1 to 5 represent a vacuum cleaner nozzle 2 comprising a connection sleeve 3 at the end 3a of which is connected a tip of a rigid or flexible tube, itself connected to the suction system of the vacuum cleaner (not shown). Various variants of vacuum cleaners already exist on the market and can be used with the vacuum cleaner nozzle 2 according to the invention; these variants being known to those skilled in the art, they are not detailed in the present patent application.

The connecting sleeve 3 is mounted in pivot connection vis-à-vis the fork 4 along a first axis of transverse pivoting X1 corresponding preferably with the axis of rotation of the displacement wheels 4a-4b each arranged on one side of the fork 4 and of the connecting sleeve 3. However, variants of vacuum cleaner nozzles could be provided according to the invention with a slight offset of the axis of rotation of the displacement wheels 4a-4b downwards and/or rearward vis-à-vis the first transverse pivot axis X1.

The vacuum cleaner nozzle 2 further comprises a sole 5, for example made of plastic material. The fork 4 is mounted in pivot connection vis-à-vis the sole 5 along a second transverse pivot axis X2. For this, the fork 4 comprises two branches 6, 7 each provided, for example, with an orifice (not visible in the figures) pivotally receiving a respective stud provided at the rear of the sole 5.

Thus, the connecting sleeve 3 can tilt forwards or backwards with respect to the fork 4, as illustrated respectively by the arrows 10a and 10b on the figure 4 , and the fork 4 can also tilt forwards or backwards with respect to the sole 5, as illustrated respectively by the arrows 9a and 9b on the figure 4 .

The suction channel 12 communicates with the connection sleeve 3 by means of a flexible conduit 13 .

The suction channel 12 extends along a direction of extension D1 and transversely to a direction of movement D2 of the vacuum cleaner nozzle 2. The suction channel 12 has a front edge 12a and a rear edge 12b which are advantageously parallel to each other. Thus, the suction channel has a generally rectangular shape.

De façon avantageuse, le canal d'aspiration 12 présente une hauteur qui diminue depuis une portion centrale du canal d'aspiration 12 et vers chacune des portions d'extrémité opposées du canal d'aspiration 12.Advantageously, the suction channel 12 has a height which decreases from a central portion of the suction channel 12 and towards each of the opposite end portions of the suction channel 12.

The underside 11 of the sole 5 comprises a rear sliding surface 14 and a front sliding surface 15 located on either side of the suction channel 12. The rear sliding surface 14 extends from the rear edge 12b of the suction channel 12, while the front sliding surface 15 extends from the front edge 12a of the suction channel 12.

Advantageously, the rear sliding surface 14 is flat and is inclined with respect to the horizontal by an angle of inclination comprised between 2 and 5°, and advantageously between 2.5 and 3°, and for example approximately 2.7°, when the front and rear edges 12a, 12b of the suction channel 12 are arranged in a substantially horizontal plane.

Advantageously, the front sliding surface 15 is flat and is inclined with respect to the horizontal by an angle of inclination comprised between 2 and 5°, and advantageously between 2 and 3°, and for example of approximately 2 .5°, when the front and rear edges 12a, 12b of the suction channel 12 are arranged in a substantially horizontal plane.

According to the embodiment of the invention shown in the figures, each of the front and rear sliding surfaces extends over the entire length of the suction channel 12, and preferably of a first lateral edge 16 of the sole 5 up to a second lateral edge 17 of the sole 5 opposite the first lateral edge 16.

As shown more particularly on the picture 3 , the rear sliding surface 14 comprises a central portion 14.1, and two lateral portions 14.2, 14.3 arranged on either side of the central portion 14.1 and respectively adjacent to two opposite end portions of the suction channel 12. The rear sliding surface 14 has a width W which decreases from the central portion 14.1 of the rear sliding surface 14 and towards each of the ends of the side portions 14.2, 14.3 of the rear sliding surface 14.

The lower face 11 of the sole 5 further comprises a rear part 18, preferably planar, set back from the rear sliding surface 14 and a connecting surface 19 connecting the rear sliding surface 14 to the rear part 18 so as to to form a recess 21 at the rear of the rear sliding surface 14. The connecting surface 19 advantageously extends over substantially the entire length of the sole 5, and preferably from the first lateral edge 16 of the sole 5 up to to the second lateral edge 17 of the sole.

La convexité de la surface de liaison 19 est orientée à l'opposé du canal d'aspiration 12.The connecting surface 19 is convex, and preferably curved, from the first lateral edge 16 of the sole 5 to the second lateral edge 17 of the sole 5. The convexity of the connecting surface 19 is oriented opposite the suction channel 12.

The connecting surface 19 is more particularly configured such that the rear sliding surface 14 has a rear edge 14a that is curvilinear, and preferably rounded.

Les surfaces d'appui 22 et les roues de déplacement 4a, 4b définissent un plan d'appui P.The sole 5 further comprises support surfaces 22 arranged to be in contact with the floor to be cleaned. The support surfaces 22 are more particularly arranged at the rear of the suction channel 12, and for example at the level of the rear sliding surface 14. The support surfaces 22 and the displacement wheels 4a, 4b define a support plane P.

According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the support surfaces 22 are formed by support rollers which protrude from the rear sliding surface 14.

La nervure de grattage arrière 23 est avantageusement rectiligne et sensiblement parallèle à la direction d'extension D1 du canal d'aspiration 12.The sole 5 also comprises a rear scraping rib 23 projecting from the rear sliding surface 14 and intended to scrape a floor to be cleaned, and more particularly a soft floor (a carpet, a carpet for example). The rear scraping rib 23 is advantageously rectilinear and substantially parallel to the direction of extension D1 of the suction channel 12.

The rear scraper rib 23 extends near and along the rear edge 12b of the suction channel 12. Advantageously, the rear scraper rib 23 is located at the intersection of the rear sliding surface 14 and of a rear side wall 24 of the suction channel 12, and extends in continuity with the rear side wall 24 of the suction channel 12 and for example over substantially the entire length of the suction channel 12.

The rear scraper rib 23 is positioned set back from the bearing surfaces 22, and is more particularly arranged at a predetermined distance from the bearing plane P defined in part by the bearing surfaces 22. The predetermined distance is between 0 .5 and 2 mm, and advantageously between 0.5 and 1 mm. Thus, the support surfaces 22 are arranged on the sole 5 so as to guarantee a positive distance between the ground and the rear scraping rib 23.

The rear scraper rib 23 may for example have a height of between 0.3 and 0.9 mm, and may for example have a thickness of between 0.4 and 0.6 mm.

The sole 5 further comprises a front scraping edge 25 intended to scrape the floor to be cleaned. The rear scraping rib 23 and the front scraping edge 25 are arranged on either side of the suction channel 12. Advantageously, the front scraping edge 25 is located at the intersection of the front sliding surface 15 and a front side wall 26 of the suction channel 12.

The vacuum cleaner nozzle 2 further comprises two brushes 27, 28 positioned respectively on the front side and on the rear side of the sole 5, and movable between a lowered position in which the two brushes are positioned projecting from the lower face 11 of the sole 5, and a raised position in which the two brushes 27, 28 are positioned set back from the lower face 11 of the sole 5. The two brushes 27, 28 can for example be mounted on a support piece 29 mounted to move, and for example sliding, on the sole 5.
