Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sheet-processing machine with a turning device with a sheet guiding drum and a method for format adjustment of a sheet guiding drum.
  • variable length sheet transfer drum for printing presses having two comb-like intermeshing sheet segments, one connected to a leading edge gripper system and the other connected to a trailing edge sucker system.
  • a disadvantage of this solution is that the length of the individual comb teeth is designed for the maximum format length, which means that format lengths that are smaller than half the maximum format length, can no longer be processed because the collapse is limited or Prongs protrude into the canal.
  • a transfer drum with means for detecting the Bogenvorder- and sheet trailing edges for printing machines is known in which the length of the individual comb teeth is designed to the minimum format length, with the processing of the maximum format length extendable or hinged bridging members are required.
  • the disadvantage of this solution is on the one hand, that the achievement of the required accuracy of the lateral surface (cylindrical shape) is quite complex to produce (joints, guides) and on the other hand, that for folding / pushing either additional drive means are required or can easily play large games or spring forces occur which can disturb the format adjustment and the printing process.
  • the DE 10 2007 061 399 A1 discloses a sheet guiding drum with a channel bridge spanning a gripper channel.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to further improve the bowing of format adjustable bow guide drums in sheet-processing machines.
