  1. Medical bed (1) equipped with a frame (2) and with a deck (3), this bed (1) being further equipped:
    - with a device (4) for adjusting the height of the deck (3) with respect to the frame (2), this device (4) comprising a deformable cross structure (5) equipped with a head bar (6) and a foot bar (7) which are articulated with respect to one another;
    - with a head-up tilting device (18) comprising:
    - a linkage (19) mounted in an articulated manner between the head bar (6) and the deck (3), between a folded position and an extended position,
    - an actuator (30) controlling the movement of the linkage (19) via the intermediary of a coupling (31),
    this bed (1) being characterized in that coupling (31) of the head-up tilting device (18) can be disengaged and can adopt an engaged configuration in which the linkage (19) is coupled to the actuator (30), and a disengaged position in which the linkage (19) is decoupled from the actuator (30), and in that the bed (1) is also equipped:
    - with a head-down tilting device (35) comprising:
    - a connecting rod (36) mounted in an articulated manner between the foot bar (7) and the deck (3), between a low position and a high position;
    - a brake (43) having a locking position in which it prevents the connecting rod (36) from rotating with respect to the foot bar (7), and a release position in which it allows the connecting rod (36) to rotate with respect to the foot bar (7),
    - with an emergency control system (46) which comprises a control pedal (47) and a mechanical transmission (48) connecting the control pedal (47) to the head-down tilting device (35) and to the head-up tilting device (18), the control pedal (47) being mounted so as to be able to move between:
    - an inactive position in which the pedal (47) holds the brake (43) of the head-down tilting device (35) in its locking position and the coupling (31) of the head-up tilting device in its engaged position, and
    - an active position in which the pedal (47) releases the brake (43) of the head-down tilting device (35) and places the coupling (31) of the head-up tilting device (18) in its disengaged position.
  2. Bed (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the brake (43) of the head-down tilting device (35) takes the form of a ram comprising a piston (44) mounted in a sliding manner in a cylinder (45), and a valve having two positions controlled by the pedal (47), specifically a closed position corresponding to the locking position of the brake (43), in which the valve blocks off the cylinder (45), and an open position, corresponding to the release position of the brake (43), in which the valve connects the cylinder (45) to the open air.
  3. Bed (1) according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized in that the actuator (30) comprises a motor (32) and the coupling (31) comprises a movable stem (33) which is interposed between the motor (32) and the linkage (19), and in that in the engaged position the stem (33) moves with the motor (32) whereas in the disengaged position the stem (33) is free to move relative to the motor (32).
  4. Bed (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the transmission (48) is direct from the pedal (47) to the brake (43) of the head-down tilting device (35), and indirect from the pedal (47) to the coupling (31) of the head-up tilting device (18).
  5. Bed (1) according to Claim 4, characterized in that the transmission (48) comprises a set of cables (51, 52) having a primary cable (51) connecting the pedal (47) to the brake (43) of the head-down tilting device (35), and a secondary cable (52) connecting the head-down tilting device (35) to the coupling (31) of the head-up tilting device (18).
  6. Bed (1) according to Claim 5, characterized in that the control system (46) comprises a lever (53) coupled in rotation with the connecting rod (36), and in that the secondary cable (52) connects the lever (53) to the coupling (31) of the head-up tilting device (18), the lever (53) being able to move between an inactive position in which it releases the secondary cable (52), allowing the coupling (31) to adopt its engaged position, and an active position in which it applies tension to the secondary cable (52), placing the coupling (31) in its disengaged position.
  7. Bed (1) according to Claim 6, characterized in that the lever (53) is mounted in rotation about a spindle (54) which is secured to the foot bar (7), in that a return spring (58) urges the lever (53) towards its active position, and in that the connecting rod (36) bears an endstop (59) against which the lever (53) is pressed by the return spring (58).
  8. Bed (1) according to one of Claims 4 to 6, characterized in that the head-down tilting device (35) comprises a return member (60) urging the connecting rod (36) towards its high position.
  9. Bed (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the transmission (48) is direct from the pedal (47) to the head-down tilting device (35), and from the pedal (47) to the head-up tilting device (18).
  10. Bed (1) according to Claim 9, characterized in that the transmission (48) comprises a set of cables (51, 52) having a primary cable (51) connecting the pedal (47) to the brake (43) of the head-down tilting device (35), and a secondary cable (52) connecting the pedal (47) to the coupling (31) of the head-up tilting device (18).
