Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung gemäß Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1.
  • Aus der EP 1 117 488 B i ist eine derartige Vorrichtung bekannt, die im Auftragskopf allerdings zwei Kammern aufweist, die mit unterschiedlichen Drücken beaufschlagt werden können. In einer Vorkammer herrscht der Druck po, während in der Hauptkammer ein Druck p1 einstellbar ist, und zwar dadurch, dass zwischen Vorkammer und Hauptkammer ein Dichtelement liegt, welches die beiden Kammern trennt. Nach außen ist jede Kammer durch eine Rakel abgedichtet, die gegen eine zugehörige Gravurwalze drückt. Außerdem sind sowohl die Hauptkammer, als auch die Vorkammer mit einem Einlass für das auf eine Bahn aufzutragende fließfähige Medium versehen.
  • Das Dokument DE 299 17 981 U1 beschreibt eine Druckkammerrakel mit einer Kammer, die durch einen Verdrängungskörper in einen Druckraum und einen Ablaufraum unterteilt ist. Die hintere, d.h. stromabwärts angebrachte Rakel wird durch einen Andruckkörper dichtend an die Mantelfläche der Walze angedrückt, um' einen Medienaustritt auch bei hohen Walzenumfangsgeschwindigkeiten zu vermeiden.
  • Die Dokumente US 5,768,993 , US 2002/0023587 A1 und DE 10 2006 017 365 A1 zeigen Auftragsvorrichtungen mit einem Auftragskopf der zwei Rakel umfasst, die mit ihrer Rakelkante an die Auftragswalze angestellt sind und die Walzenoberfläche linienförmig berühren. Diese Rakel dienen jedoch nicht zur Abdichtung der Kammer des Auftragskopfs.
  • Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, die bekannte Vorrichtung dahingehend weiter zu entwickeln, dass sie einfacher und damit kostengünstiger herstellbar ist.
  • Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe dient die Vorrichtung mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1.
  • Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.

  • Figur 1 zeigt einen Querschnitt durch eine Gravurwalze 11, die an ihrem Umfang mit Gravurrillen 12 versehen sind und die sich im Betrieb in Richtung der Pfeile im Uhrzeigersinn dreht. Über die Gravurwalze 11 läuft eine zu beschichtende Bahn 4, auf deren Unterseite die Gravurrillen 12 ein fließfähiges Medium 5 übertragen, das mit Hilfe eines Auftragskopfs 10 zugeführt wird.
  • Der Auftragskopf 10 ist in der dargestellten Ausführungsform unter der Gravurwalze 11 und damit gegenüber der Bahn 4 angeordnet. Er erstreckt sich in der Art eines Balkens parallel zu einer Erzeugenden der Gravurwalze 11 über deren gesamte Länge, um alle Gravurrillen 12 mit dem fließfähigen Medium 5 zu versehen, mit dem die Bahn 4 beschichtet werden soll.
  • Der Auftragskopf 10 besitzt einen balkenförmigen Grundkörper 25, an dessen linker Seite eine Auffangwanne 27 für fließfähiges Medium 5 angebracht ist, auf die später noch näher eingegangen wird. Die Unterseite des Auftragskopfs 10 weist an der in Drehrichtung linken Seite einen Einlass 14 für eine Kammer 13 auf, während an der in Drehrichtung rechten Seite des Auftragskopfs 10 in dessen Unterseite ein Auslass 15 für durch die Kammer 13 strömendes fließfähiges Medium 5 vorgesehen ist. Zwischen dem Einlass 14 und dem Auslass 15 erstreckt sich eine Druckluftleitung 21 in den Auftragskopf 10 nach oben in Richtung Gravurwalze 11 und endet in einem Ballon 22, über dem ein verschiebbares Druckstück 23 sitzt. Das Druckstück 23 wirkt seinerseits auf einen zusammendrückbaren Anpresskörper 24. Der Anpresskörper 24 besteht aus einem elastischen Material, das durch Aufblasen des Ballons 22 auf definierte Weise zusammengedrückt wird, was in den Figuren 2a bis 2c dargestellt ist.
  • Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass anstelle einer Druckluftleitung 21 mit Ballon 22 auch eich andere Konstruktion zum Einwirken auf das Druckstück 23 gewählt werden kann, zum Beispiel eine Stempelstange mit Stempelkopf oder ähnlich.
  • Über dem Anpresskörper 24 liegt eine erste oder vordere Rakel 16, die von einem in der Kammer 13 montierten vorderen Rakelhalter 17 gehalten wird. Derartige Konstruktionen sind dem Fachmann allgemein bekannt, so dass darauf hier nicht näher eingegangen werden muss. Im Betrieb berührt die vordere Rakel 16 die Kammer 13 und verschließt diese an der Vorderseite in definierter Weise.
  • Auf ähnliche Weise wird die Hinterseite der Kammer 13 durch eine zweite oder hintere Rakel 18 verschlossen, die ebenfalls von einem hinteren Rakelhalter 19 gehalten wird. Die Anpresskraft der hinteren Rakel 18 an die Gravurwalze 11 wird durch ein starres Auflager 28 am Auftragskopf 10 verbunden mit der hinteren Rakelhalterung 19 gebildet, die in der Höhe verstellbar ist, wie die die Zeichnung verdeutlicht.
  • Bisher nicht erwähnt ist ein Fenster 20, das an der rechten Seite des Auftragskopfs 10 abnehmbar angeordnet ist, um das freie Abströmen des aus der Kammer 13 austretenden fließfähigen Mediums 5 beobachten zu können, das nicht mehr von den Gravurrillen 12 aufgenommen werden konnte.
  • Schließlich wird darauf hingewiesen, dass je nach Breite des Auftragskopfs 10 1 - 5 Einlässe 14 vorgesehen sein können, um eine gleichmäßige Druckverteilung zu erreichen, während als Auslass 15 ein Auslass reicht.
  • Die Figuren 2a bis 2c verdeutlichen nun das Wesen der Erfindung, nämlich die einfache Einstellbarkeit des Drucks in der einzigen Kammer 13 und damit das luftbläschenfreie Befüllen der Gravurrillen 12 mit dem zur Beschichtung vorgesehenen fließfähigen Medium 5.
  • In Figur 2a wird der Anpresskörper 24 vom Druckstück 23 nicht zusammengedrückt, so dass die vordere Rakel 16 lediglich auf dem Anpresskörper 24 liegt und die Gravurwalze 11 nur linienförmig berührt, was durch die gestrichelte Linie A angedeutet ist. Dies ist sozusagen die Null oder Ausgangsstellung, die einem Druck po in der Kammer 13 entspricht.
  • Wird der Anpresskörper 24 aber von dem Druckstück 23 zusammengedrückt, dann presst er die vordere Rakel 16 stärker gegen die Gravurwalze 11 und aus der linienförmigen Berührung A von Figur 2a wird ein flächiger Kontakt gemäß Figur 2b, wobei die gestrichelten Linien B die Breite der Flächenkontaktzone angeben. Um das fließfähige Medium 5 unter diesen Bedingungen aus der Kammer 13 austreten zu lassen, muss der Druck in der Kammer 13 von po auf p1 erhöht werden.
  • Bei noch stärkerem Andrücken des Druckstücks 23 wird der Anpresskörper 24 noch stärker zusammengedrückt und die Breite der Flächenkontaktzone vergrößert sich weiter von B in Figur 2b auf C in Figur 2c, was bedeutet, dass der Druck in Kammer 13 auf p2 erhöht werden muss, ehe ein Ausströmen aus dem Auslass 15 erfolgen kann.
  • Durch den Druck in der Kammer 13 wird erreicht, dass je nach Breite der Flächenkontaktzone B oder C mehr oder weniger Masse des fließfähigen Mediums 5 an der hinteren Rakel 18 aus der Kammer 13 abströmen muss, da die hintere Rakel 18 mit der Gravurwalze 11 nur Linienberührung hat. Diese aus der Kammer 13 in Drehrichtung hinten austretende Masse verteilt sich auf die Gravurrillen 12 und der Rest fließt in die Auffangwanne 27.

Claims (4)

  1. Vorrichtung zum Aufbringen eines fließfähigen Mediums (5) auf eine kontinuierlich transportierte Bahn (4),
    wobei das Medium (5) durch eine kontinuierlich drehende Übertragungswalze, beispielsweise durch eine am Umfang mit Gravurrillen (12) versehene Gravurwalze (11), auf die Bahn (4) übertragbar ist,
    wobei ein Auftragskopf (10) vorgesehen ist, um das fließfähige Medium (5) auf den Umfang der Gravurwalze (11) zu übertragen; wobei der Auftragskopf (10) eine zum Umfang der Gravurwalze (11) hin offene Kammer (13) mit einem Einlass (14) und einem Auslass (15) für das aufzutragende Medium (5) aufweist,
    und wobei diese einzige Kammer (13) an ihrer in Drehrichtung vorderen Außenseite durch eine vordere Rakel (16) und an ihrer in Drehrichtung hinteren Außenseite durch eine hintere Rakel (18) begrenzt ist, die beide dichtend am Umfang der Gravurwalze (11) anliegen,
    wobei die Anpresskraft der hinteren Rakel 18 an der Gravurwalze 11 durch ein starres Auflager 28 gebildet wird,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass beide Rakel (16, 18) negativ zur Drehrichtung der Übertragungswalze angestellt sind,
    dass zur Einstellbarkeit des Drucks in der Kammer (13) die vordere Rakel (16) durch einen Anpresskörper (24) mit einstellbarer Anpresskraft an den Umfang der Gravurwalze (11) andrückbar ist,
    dass der Anpresskörper (24) die Breite einer Flächenkontaktzone der vorderen Rakel (16) an der Gravurwalze (11) bestimmt.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die vordere Rakel (16) die Gravurwalze (11) nur linienförmig berührt, wenn der Anpresskörper (24) in seiner Ausgangsstellung ist, die einem Druck (po) in der Kammer (13) entspricht und mittels des Anpresskörpers (24) der Druck (p1, p2) in der Kammer (13) erhöht werden kann, indem die vordere Rakel (16) die Gravurwalze (11) flächig in der Flächenkontaktzone berührt.
  3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Anpresskörper (24) von einem Ballon (22) über ein Druckstück (23) zusammendrückbar ist.
  4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Ballon (22) durch eine Druckluftleitung (21) aufblasbar und damit gegen das Druckstück (23) bewegbar ist.
