Definitions

  • the present application relates to an improved Rockerski.
  • rockerski is a ski in which not only the ski shovel but also a front section of the ski is bent ("rocked").
  • the bent portion on the ski portion enhances buoyancy in deep snow as the bent portion prevents subsidence in deep snow. Therefore, Rockerski were originally designed especially for powder and deep snow conditions. Due to the small contact surface and the resulting lower active area of the ski on the snow surface, the Rockerski also impresses with a very good maneuverability and practically does not tend to tilt. Therefore Rockerski enjoy increasing popularity also on the groomed slopes.
  • Such Rockerski are for example from the EP 2 082 787 A1 as well as the US 5,511,815 known.
  • the rocker ski according to the present invention comprises a support portion, a rocker portion that is curved upward with respect to the support portion, and a blade portion.
  • the support area has a sidecut with at least a first waist radius and the rocker area has a sidecut with at least one second waist radius, wherein the first and second waist radius differ from each other and wherein the second waist radius is between 1m and 25 m.
  • the invention is based on the fact that the support area and the rocker area are each provided with a different sidecut. This allows the waist radius of each area to be adapted to its specific needs.
  • a skier ski in the context of the present invention is understood to mean a ski (i.e., not a snowboard) in which not only the blade but also another portion at the front end of the ski is bent.
  • the support area describes that area of the Rockerskis that rests standing on the ground under load from a skier.
  • the rocker area describes that section of the Rockerskis that does not rest on the ground under load from a skier while standing, but can rest on the ground at least with the edge when driving and especially when cornering hard.
  • Under the blade area is understood the more upwardly bent ski tip, which usually has no contact with the ground.
  • the sidecut in the rocker area is much more pronounced than in the support area.
  • the first waist radius (of the support area) is greater than the second waist radius (of the rocker area).
  • the combination of a Carvingtull istsradius in the support area with the transition to a smaller radius in the rocker area of the Skivorderteils causes the ski due to the so-called "Rocker” is still very well rotatable, but with strong edges or in the Pflug ein immediately a very good "grip" in the blade area can build.
  • the ratio between the first and the second Taille istradius between 1.5 and 10, more preferably between 2 and 5, particularly preferably between 3 and 4.
  • the support area and the rocker area have different waisting radii.
  • more than one waist radius can be provided in the support area and / or in the rocker area.
  • the contact area has between one and three, more preferably exactly one or exactly two Taill michsradien.
  • the rocker area has between one and three, more preferably exactly one or exactly two waist radii. Limiting the number of waist radii simplifies the manufacture and provides u. a. certain that a certain waist radius over a certain length of Rockerskis is present so that the specific radius can be effective.
  • the support area has exactly one waist radius and the rocker area has exactly one or exactly two waist radii.
  • the rocker area has exactly one waist radius and the support area exactly one or exactly two waist radii.
  • the waist of the rocker area and / or the support area extends substantially over the entire length of the rocker area or the support area. It is particularly preferred that the waist of the rocker area extends over at least 50%, preferably at least 75%, and more preferably over at least 90% of the length of the rocker area. It is further preferred that the rocker region has a constant waist radius over at least 50%, preferably over at least 75% and more preferably over at least 90% of its length.
  • the Rockerski according to the invention has essentially a length, as is common in conventional rock skis.
  • the aspect ratio between contact area and rocker area is preferably between 1 and 5, more preferably between 2 and 4, particularly preferably between 2.5 and 3.5.
  • the first waist radius is preferably between 6 m and 36 m, more preferably between 8 m and 25 m, and particularly preferably between 10 m and 18 m.
  • the second Taille istsradius is preferably between 2 m and 20 m, and more preferably between 3 m and 15 m.
  • the rocker area preferably has a length between 10 cm and 80 cm, more preferably between 15 cm and 50 cm and particularly preferably between 20 cm and 35 cm. In the unloaded state, the rocker area is preferably bent over this length by between 5 mm and 50 mm, more preferably between 10 mm and 25 mm, particularly preferably between 10 mm and 20 mm.
  • a transition region is provided between the support region and the rocker region.
  • the transition region can also have a sidecut with a third waist radius, which preferably differs from the first and second waist radius.
  • the first waisting radius preferably transitions continuously into the second waisting radius in the transition region.
  • the transition region may have a plurality of waist radii.
  • the transition region preferably has a length between 3 cm and 30 cm, more preferably between 5 cm and 20 cm and particularly preferably between 10 cm and 15 cm.
  • the Rockerski invention combines the advantages of different Skitypen in a particularly advantageous manner in itself.
  • the Rockerski invention is particularly agile, can be very good drive in deep snow and at the same time allows good contact with the slope with strong edges.
  • the Rockerski according to the invention is also particularly easy to drive for the beginner, as he is on the one hand well rotatable, but on the other hand also allows a good grip with the ground in the plow position.
  • Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of a Rockerskis invention in plan view and side view.
  • the preferred embodiment of the rocker ski 10 according to the invention has a support area 10c, a rocker area 10b, which faces upwards from the support area curved or bent up, a blade area 10a and a ski end 10d.
  • a solid line For comparison, a conventional ski is indicated by dashed lines.
  • the support point of the conventional ski without rocker is marked with the reference numeral 3.
  • the point of support for the Rockerski or the starting point for the Rocker area is marked with 5.
  • the reference numeral 7 denotes the rear support point, which is identical for the Rockerski and the conventional ski.
  • the outer line or edge 6 has a conventional waist radius R1.
  • This waisting radius would extend to the turning point 8 in a conventional ski, d. H. far into the rocker area 10b (see the dashed line marked 2).
  • the rocker ski according to the invention in the rocker area 10b on a second waist radius R2, whereby a waisting of the outer edge 4 is formed with a second radius of curvature extending to the inflection point 9.
  • the length of the rocker area 10b is essentially given by the distance between the conventional support point 3 and the bearing point of the rocker area 5, wherein the blade area 10a, as in the side view of FIG. 1 can be seen, is bent upwards with a much smaller radius of curvature than the rocker area 10b.
  • the length of the support region is defined by the distance between the two support points 5 and 7.
  • the first sidecut with the waist radius R1 extends substantially over the entire length of the support region 10c.
  • the second sidecut with the waist radius R2 also extends over a large part of the rocker area 10b, namely from the support point 5 to to the inflection point 9.
  • the aspect ratio of the distances 5-9 and 5-3 is at least 50%, more preferably at least 75%, and most preferably at least 90%. It is particularly preferred that the support area 10c and the rocker area 10b each have only one waisting radius. However, one or both of these areas may also have more waist radii, for example exactly two or exactly three waist radii. Furthermore, a transition region can be provided between the rocker region 10b and the support region 10c, in which the waisting radius R1 merges continuously or stepwise into the waisting radius R2.
