Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of seating, in particular a backrest for an office chair, in which in a frame, a membrane is clamped.
- a chair of the kind described is e.g. from EP 0308538 A known.
- the cardanic bearing is achieved in that the backrest has a spherical segment-shaped formation, which is mounted in a second spherical segment-shaped formation on the backrest support.
- the center around which the backrest can move lies on the upholstery surface.
- Laterally and above and below the universal joint spring elements between backrest and backrest support are provided, e.g. Elastic polyester elements that exert spring forces both perpendicular and parallel to the backrest surface.
- Another chair with gimbaled backrest is known from EP 0935934 A.
- the gimbal bearing is achieved there by means of a circular cylindrical rubber-elastic element, on whose two end faces in each case a steel plate is vulcanized, which is connected to the backrest or the backrest support by screws. The user can thus move the back against the spring forces of the rubber-elastic element.
- the backrest support can still be pressed against a return spring to the rear.
- the upholstery On its user interface, the upholstery is basically rigid and kinked in the area of the rubber mount.
- this known chair has the advantage that the gimbal comprises fewer items, and thus is less expensive to produce. Due to the conventional design of the user interface of the backrest cushion but no optimal support of the user's back is achieved. Furthermore, the articulation of the backrest support to the chair column and the connection to a return spring is very expensive and thus cost-ineffective. Finally, it is also disadvantageous that the rubber-elastic bearing offers no tear protection: if the vulcanized to the rubber-elastic element panels should solve, the backrest falls from the backrest carrier.
- the backrest is designed as a frame with a membrane spanned therein.
- the frame consists of two substantially vertically extending side parts, and an upper and a lower, the two side parts connecting crosspiece.
- At the lower crosspiece of the frame is suspended by a dorsokine perennial flexible joint on the upper part of a backrest support, which consists of aluminum and is hinged with its fork-shaped lower part of the tilt mechanism.
- this chair offers a very high level of seating comfort, it is also relatively expensive to manufacture, and can also be further optimized with regard to the dorsokinetic support of the lumbar vertebral lordosis.
- a chair is known from US 5,810,438 A, in which the back part, the seat part and the two armrests are integrally connected.
- a spring member is provided between the seat and back, which is also integrally connected to the seat and backrest.
- the known chair is an injection molded part, and is manufactured by gas injection technique (GIT).
- the known chair has remarkable manufacturing advantages because the number of components and assembly steps are minimized.
- he has disadvantages in terms of seating comfort, because the backrest is actually suspended from the armrests, and, especially when the central spring member is provided so that only very limited meets the requirements of the user in terms of elastic support of the back.
- this component is an injection molded part made of a glass fiber reinforced polyamide plastic, preferably a Polyarylamid, and produced by gas injection technique (GIT), which can be produced largely hollow items.
- the backrest on the one hand can unfold the membrane optimal support forces for the back of the user, but on the other hand elegantly and technically inexpensive and stable causes a cardano-elastic connection between the back and backrest support.
- the invention also makes it possible, the backrest together with backrest support as a visible part, ie without special panel form, which not only reduces the number of items and thus the manufacturing costs, but also shapes the design and realized a high recognition value.
- the number of structural elements of the backrest according to the invention is reduced to a minimum, and thus expresses the manufacturing effort. Due to the largely hollow plastic parts a very low weight is achieved. However, the backrest according to the invention still has a whole a particularly high degree of stability, because a tearing off the back of the wearer under the influence of force is no longer possible due to the one-piece design. Furthermore, the backrest according to the invention has a very high rigidity and resistance to mechanical stress in the selected dimensions and the selected plastic.
- the backrest according to the invention has the further advantage that ergonomically desirable elastic support forces for the user's back are also contributed by the backrest support, while the aluminum support is rigid.
- a backrest according to the invention comprising the frame 1, the backrest support 6, and the neck support 15.
- the frame 1 consists of the left-hand side part 2 and the right-hand side part 3. These two side parts 2, 3 are connected to one another via the lower transverse web 4 and the upper transverse web 5.
- the side parts 2, 3 have, on the outside, a groove 26 into which a membrane (not shown) made of an elastic fabric is clipped with its side edges bordered with keder.
- the backrest support 6 comprises the left leg 7 and the right leg 8, which converge fork-shaped in the connecting piece 18.
- the connecting piece 18 runs smoothly and without transition into the lower transverse web 4.
- the legs In front, the legs have 7.8 bearing blocks 9.10, on which the rear part of the (not shown) seat plate is stored. At the very front, the legs 7.8 recesses 22, in which metallic fittings 11,12 are used and tightened. By means of these fittings 11,12 of the backrest support 6 is hinged to the (not shown) inclination mechanism of the chair.
- a tilting mechanism for example, the mechanism described in DE 196 40 564 A can be used with synchronous control of seat and backrest.
- a metallic fitting 13 with a bearing 14 for the neck support 15 is fastened by means of screws.
- the neck support 15 is pivotally mounted on the sleeve 19 via the complementary bearing part 23.
- the pivotability to a predetermined extent is effected by the sliding block 24, which can move in the suitably shaped inner part of the bearing 23.
- the screw 27 cup springs 25 By means of standing under the action of the screw 27 cup springs 25, a friction force is generated on the bearing 23, which allows the neck support can indeed be pivoted, but then fixed in a desired position.
- the neck support 15 can be adjusted by moving the rod 20 in the sleeve 19.
- the (not shown) head pad is attached.
- the plastic moldings of the backrest are largely hollow. Only in the middle part of the upper crossbar 5 and in the lower parts of the two legs 7,8 of the backrest support 6, the molding material is compact. This is useful so that the screws for the fittings 11,12 and 13 have a firm grip.
- the vcm user-generated leaning force is not only taken up by the backrest frame, but also by the backrest support integrally molded. This increases the dorsokinetic support function of the back in an advantageous manner.
- the plastic compound used is a glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic.
- Resin based on polyarylamide preferably under the trademark IXEF 1022 or 1032 from Solvay S.A. distributed material.
- the moldings are produced by gas injection technique (GIT), wherein the molten molding material is displaced by an under high pressure in the cavity of the injection mold injected inert gas, preferably nitrogen, to the mold wall.
- GIT gas injection technique
- the backrest according to the invention the task-related advantages in full: it causes excellent seating comfort through optimal support of the back, is compared to the prior art, significantly reduced effort to produce, transport and assemble, and offers by industrial design produces a high level of aesthetics and design.

Description
Dabei zeigt:
- Fig.1
- Fig.2
