  • splicers are known which are the end of the leaking Connect the material web to the start of a new winding roll.
  • drum continuous metal axes
  • the unwinder is usually used for splicing and the subsequent processing machine is shut down.
  • a device of the generic type is from DE 43 25 944 Al known.
  • This device has a holding device to hold the end of the leaking Web on which is fixed on a web side of the running Track is arranged and has two holding elements, which are spaced apart in the direction of web travel are arranged.
  • a rail transport device is used for picking up the start of a full winding roll on their scope and for transporting the beginning of the web to behind the area of the holding device.
  • To cut the web is a cutting knife in a groove of the holding device arranged between the two holding elements.
  • On the other side of the track is an up and down movable Strip dispenser arranged with which one Move the adhesive connecting strip against the sheets leaves. When moving a pressure piece against the holding element become the running track and the beginning severed the new track together. • the carriage 14 is mounted in the swivel beam 13 so that when it swivels against the holding elements 7, 18 of the carriage part 47 in the space moved between the two holding elements 7, 8. Is in the swiveled position the carriage part 46 on one side of the railway, the carriage part 47 on the other Web side, as shown in Figure 17.
  • the cutting edges are in this position of the two knives 16, 45 when pressed against the respectively assigned counter roller 25 moved through the plane of the web, therefore the web 4 is moved when the Slide across the web width of the activated circular knife 16, 45 cut.
  • a web splice becomes essentially in the embodiment according to FIGS. 16 to 18 performed with the steps shown in Figures 6 to 15. Therefore, only the essential steps and changes are described below compared to this procedure:
  • the first Unwinding slowed down.
  • the stationary web 4 is from the clamping device 40 clamped to the guide roller 10, and the two holding elements 7, 8 are by Activation of suction air activated. Then the bar 13 pivots against the Holding device 6, the carriage 14 being on one side next to the track 4.
  • the bar 13 After the upper holding element 7 has been inactivated, the bar 13 is returned to its rest position is pivoted, and the remainder roll is from the unwind 3 away. After hanging a new winding roll 1 in the unwinding frame 3 the suction tube 38 of the web transport device 37 against the full winding roll 1 pivoted while the suction air inside is switched on. On the Suction tube 38, the web start is wound up in a web length that is at least the Movement distance of the suction pipe 38 into the lowered position behind the web holding device 6 corresponds.
  • the new path start of the new winding roll 1 thus created is from the upper Holding element 7, the end of the running web from the lower holding element 8 held.
  • the two web ends are located in the web plane without overlap right next to each other.
  • the bar 13 pivots again Holding element 6, the two tape applicators 17, 19 are activated.
  • the carriage 14 then travels across the working width (in FIG. 18 from bottom up), an adhesive tape 18 is applied to each side of the web.
  • the separating knives 16, 45 are deactivated, that is, in one retracted position.
  • the bridge 48 moves in front of the web ends connecting application of the adhesive tapes 18 through the space between the both ends of the web. Also for applying the adhesive tapes 18 is no empty run of the Wagens 14 required.
