Definitions
- the invention relates to a sheet-fed rotary printing machine for multi-color printing.
- a sheet-fed rotary printing press is known from DE-PS 24 35 203. She points in Various configurations of plate cylinders with a simple diameter, one Rubber cylinders with multiple diameters and a pressure cylinder with a simple one Diameter on. As a result, printing units of a partial image of a printed image on one of several for each plate cylinder Segments of the rubber cylinder are printed. At the same time, this print image can a printed sheet guided on the printing cylinder are printed, the printed sheet with the pressure cylinder according to the movement of the segments of the rubber cylinder rotates and is printed from this.
- U.S. Patent 3,347,160 is an ink roller device for a multi-color rotary offset printing press described.
- This printing machine has one Plate cylinder and rubber cylinder each with multiple diameters on which one Single diameter impression cylinder is associated.
- This multi-color printing machine is suitable for so-called proof printing.
- a disadvantage of these devices is that they are presented as individual printing units leave the effort of printing on images that contain more color than it the respective printing press allows but is very high. These printing machines are therefore only suitable for special printing processes.
- the aim of the invention is to present a machine configuration that is the simplest Design can be combined with any combination of printing units to create printing sheets has different colors, does not require the replacement of aggregates and is suitable for high throughput with any number of runs, whereby printed sheets in printing on both sides should be possible.
- the object of the invention is the device according to the preamble of the claim 1 to be improved so that a simple and therefore cheap from standard elements Printing machine is created that in combination of units of this type with each other Different configurable multi-color prints allowed without the press must be converted or has too low performance, with printed sheets in printing on both sides should be possible.
- the solution to this problem is based on the characterizing part of claim 1.
- the sheet-guiding drums or cylinders are each provided with a work surface. This results in a slender sheet run and sufficient space for complete printing and unhindered sheet turning at all critical positions.
- the resulting reduction in throughput is offset by the simplification of the machine design.
- all plate cylinders are equipped with two pressure plates. It is particularly advantageous that, based on standard printing presses, simplified embodiments of printing presses are shown that allow inexpensive printing processes with little effort, whereby attention is paid to a so-called slim sheet travel and the costs for building the machine are reduced by simple elements.
- the rubber cylinder is designed as a cylinder with a single diameter. In the standard printing process proposed for this purpose, he collects the print images of different colors specified on the plate cylinder and prints them on the printing sheets held on the printing cylinder in a single printing process.
- FIG. 1 shows a sheet-fed printing machine that has a feeder 1 and a delivery arm 2 and printing units 11 and 12 includes.
- the printed sheets are from the feeder 1 Printing unit 3 fed and laid out in delivery 2.
- For sheet transport is one Feed drum 4 is provided, which the printing sheet to a first printing cylinder 5th passes. From there, the printed sheets are fed via a first sheet guide drum 6 and further sheet guide drums 13 and 14 to a second impression cylinder 5, from where the printed sheets on further sheet guide drums 6 and 7 to a delivery drum 8 transported and then delivered in the boom 2.
- the printing units are basically the same.
- the sheet is each transferred from the impression cylinder 5 to a sheet guide drum 6.
- feed drum 4 and sheet guide drum 13 correspond.
- the feed drum 4, the sheet guide drums 6 and 7 and the delivery drum 8 have a so-called double diameter.
- the pressure cylinder 5 has a single diameter.
- the diameter ratio refers to the length of a maximum to be processed Printed sheet.
- the printing unit 3 there is also a blanket cylinder 9 and a plate cylinder 10 arranged, both of which have a double diameter.
- the sheet-guiding cylinders or drums can, provided they are double Diameters are provided with one or two rows of grabs for transporting Printing sheet equipped, but for the complete printing process on one Sheet only one row of grippers or work surface is used.
- a multi-color printing machine is easy can be combined from the basic components plate cylinder 10, rubber cylinder 9, Printing cylinder 5, sheet guide drum 6 and sheet guide drum 13 and 4. Die Connection between the printing units 11, 12 is made by means of the sheet guide drum 14 corresponds to the sheet guide drum 7, which also leads to the delivery arm 2.
- the Printing machine is constructed from identical printing units and in the area of Printing cylinder 5 very compact. Furthermore, by arranging two Work surfaces on plate cylinder 10 and rubber cylinder 9 with double diameter their handling improved.
- the printing machine in Fig. 1 allows two-color printing with double throughput, if in both printing units 11 and 12 on the plate cylinders two printing images are provided, which are arranged in the same color. Furthermore, two-tone with half Throughput can be worked when in each printing unit 11 and 12 on the respective one Plate cylinder 10 only one print image is provided, which is then a different color exhibit.
- a double edition can also be run for short runs by each printing plate of the plate cylinder 10 produces a different monochrome image and per Printed sheets alternate one and the other printed image.
- the different printed sheets can then e.g. with the help of an auxiliary display 16 and the Boom 2 are placed on separate stacks.
- the sheet guide drums 6, 13, 14 can also be used as so-called Turning device can be provided. They then have devices by means of which a printed sheet from the middle sheet guide drum 14 at its rear edge is removed and in the opposite position and transport direction to the next Printing unit is fed. Then the printed sheet is there from its back printed. In this way, the printing press is then able to print on one side in one color to print on one side in two colors and on the other in one color and on both sides in two colors.
- Turning device By arranging the turning device with Bow guide drums with double diameter and only one row of grippers is the Turning process much more straightforward than in known devices of this type, such as is still explained.
- the press can also be expanded to any number of other printing units.
- auxiliary delivery 16 is by delivering a printed sheet from the delivery drum 8 by means of a flexible Control device operated in engagement with the grippers of the boom drum 8.
- FIG. 2 Another machine configuration is shown in FIG. 2.
- printing units 17 and 18 are arranged, which, as already known, a Feed drum 4, a plate cylinder 10, a sheet guide drum 6, a Have sheet guide drum 7 and a delivery drum 8. Furthermore are too Connection of the printing units 17 and 18 sheet guide drums 13 and 14 provided.
- the auxiliary delivery 16 is also provided here and the feed drum 4 works with a Grip system 15 together.
- a first 21 and a second Printing cylinder 22 is provided, which has a double diameter. You can have one or two work surfaces, but only one is used. He participates together a rubber cylinder 21, which has only a simple diameter.
- this printing machine works according to the so-called rubber collective printing process.
- This four-color print is produced after a start-up phase with a total of two revolutions of the blanket cylinders 21 of both printing units.
- a single-color image can be provided on the plate cylinders 10. Then this printing machine would print in two colors and only every second Rotation of the rubber cylinder 21 a sheet, i.e. one per revolution Printing cylinder 22 produce a printed sheet printed in two colors.
- each plate cylinder 10 can also be provided on each plate cylinder 10, in one color with two Print printed images, so that with each revolution of the blanket cylinder 21 also Print image can be transferred to the printing cylinder 22. Then again with the full throughput on the printing cylinder with two printing sheets per revolution but then in the first printing unit with one color and in the second printing unit with one second color can be printed.
- This printing press is also provided with an auxiliary delivery 16.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 a further configuration of the printing press after Printing principle of the printing machine shown in Fig. 2. They also point between investors 1 and delivery 2 a printing unit 20, in which a plate cylinder 10 is provided Printing cylinder 22, a feed drum 4 and a sheet guide drum 6. Between Plate cylinder 10 and impression cylinder 22 is a single diameter one Rubber cylinder 21 provided.
- the basic configuration corresponds to that of Fig. 3, so that the function of this printing unit of Fig. 3 is the same. In order to can therefore produce single-color or two-color prints in different throughputs become.
- a further printing unit is assigned to the sheet guide drum 6. This printing unit consists of an inking unit 24, which is arranged displaceably, one Plate cylinder 25 and a blanket cylinder 26.
- the plate cylinder 25 and the Rubber cylinders 26 are only provided with a simple diameter and are therefore only recognizable suitable for the application of a single print color.
- FIG. 4 A configuration similar to that in FIG. 3 is shown in FIG. 4. However, here is as Back printing unit a plate cylinder 25A with double diameter one with one Rubber cylinder 26 combined with a simple diameter, so that here also the back pressure runs according to the rubber collection principle. So the press is capable of both full color on both sides, also 2/1-color with half throughput, as well 2/2-color to work with half throughput.
- the plate cylinder 25A is an in Assignable removable inking unit 24A.
- This inking unit 24A contains two Coloring devices and possibly also two dampening devices that can be switched in cycles, to be able to apply one or two colors to the plate cylinder 25A. In the Machines according to Fig. 3 and 4, no turn is required.
- FIGS. 5a and b The advantage of a turning unit in the printing presses described in FIGS. 1 and 2 is shown in FIGS. 5a and b.
- 5a the sheet-guiding drums 6, 13 and 14 are shown in the normal assignment for one-sided printing.
- the printed sheet is transferred to the sheet guide drum 6 from a printing cylinder and transferred to a further printing unit via the sheet guide drums 13, 14.
- 5b shows the assignment for the back pressure operation.
- rows of grippers 34 of the sheet guide drum 13 are set to the respectively determining end of the printed sheet on the sheet guide drum 14.
- the gripper rows 34 are equipped with so-called reversible grippers.
- FIG. 6 shows a four-color printing press with two double printing units 35, 36.

Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- Fig. 3
- Fig. 4
- Fig. 5a/b
- ein Wendewerk und
