Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for the production of cellulose fiber material Made of vegetable potting substrate containing calcium pectinate.
- Vegetable substrates have been used for a long time of cellulose fiber materials used.
- a material is for example pulp, which is usually obtained from wood and is an important commercial product for paper production is used. They belong to the class of cellulose fibers also so-called sclerenchyma or bast fibers, which the Form support tissue from plants such as stalks or stems. This In nature, fibers always lie in combination with substances like lignins and pectins. These accompanying substances must be removed if the cellulose fiber material in a to Further processing suitable form should be obtained.
- the plant substrate used is broken down, de-wooded, de-pectinized and, if desired, also bleached.
- the raw material is broken down using sodium hydroxide solution.
- Different additional chemicals can be present here.
- sodium digestion NaOH, Na 2 CO 3
- the sulfide process CaO, MgO, NaOH, NH 4 OH / SO 2
- the sulfate process NaOH, Na 2 S, Na 2 CO 3
- the chemicals mentioned form the so-called "cooking acids”.
- the digestion primarily causes the de-lignification (de-lignification) of the plant substrate, the lignins contained in the substrate being converted into a soluble form.
- the known digestion methods also call due to Disposing waste products problems, in particular the waste water issue is an important aspect.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of a new method for the production of cellulose fiber material from calcium pectinate-containing to provide vegetable substrate, in which the cellulose fibers are not damaged in comparison less pollution to the known processes and the process time can be shortened.
- This object is achieved by methods for the production of cellulose fiber material Made of vegetable potting substrate containing calcium pectinate solved using the vegetable substrate digested by trisodium phosphate and bleached if necessary is, the vegetable substrate simultaneously with Borax is treated or before digestion with an aqueous Borax solution is pretreated, preferably borax in an amount of 0.5 to 10 g, in particular 1 to 5 g and preferred 3 g per liter of water is present and the temperature of the Solution in particular 30 to 60 ° C, preferably 40 to 50 ° C and more preferably 45 ° C.
- trisodium phosphate is now used instead of the chemicals (NaOH, Na 2 CO 3 ; CaO, MgO, NaOH, NH 4 OH / SO 2 ; or NaOH, Na 2 S, Na 2 CO 3 ) used in the digestion processes known to date and attacking the cellulose fibers used.
- Trisodium phosphate is commonly used to soften water such as boiler feed water, for phosphating, as a component of Soap powders and toilet soaps, in dishwashing detergents or used as a buffer.
- the vegetable substrate used in the claimed process is preferably from plants of the families Linaceae, Urticaeae or Moraceae and this group includes in particular Oil lines, fiber lines (flax), nettles such as nettles, Ramie, hemp or hops. Flax is particularly preferred.
- the vegetable substrate digested in an aqueous solution preferably Contains 2.5 to 20 g of trisodium phosphate per liter of water and preferably 3 to 10 g, in particular 3.5 to 8.5 g, more preferably however contains 5 to 7 g of trisodium phosphate per liter of water.
- This digestion solution contains trisodium phosphate in addition to the digestion agent preferably also a dispersant and / or a bleach.
- the bleach there is even advantageously one in the digestion solution Process shortening possible, as a later, if necessary Desired bleaching of the cellulose fiber material obtained can be omitted. The cost savings for this can be considerable his.
- a dispersant each is for such purposes in such digestion solutions suitable agents can be used, preferably but uses water glass or a surfactant or a surfactant mixture, suitable surfactants and surfactant mixtures are preferred anionic surfactant and possibly small additions of nonionic Components included.
- a suitable surfactant product is for example Cottoclarin® from Henkel.
- the bleaching agent is preferably hydrogen peroxide, for example in the form of a 35% aqueous solution Solution can be used.
- bleaching agents suitable for cellulose fiber bleaching usable.
- the amount of dispersant present in the digestion solution is preferably in the range from 0.5 to 10 g / l, in particular 1 to 5 g / l and preferably 3 g / l.
- the bleach is in the Digestion solution, if present, in an amount of preferably 0.1 to 15 g / l, in particular 1 to 10 g / l and preferably 5 up to 8 g / l, in the case of hydrogen peroxide in the form a 35% aqueous solution according to a preferred embodiment also 8 ml of this hydrogen peroxide solution per liter Digestion solution can be used.
- the vegetable substrate at the same time with digestion by the trisodium phosphate with borax treated or before digestion by the trisodium phosphate pretreated with an aqueous borax solution.
- the one at this simultaneous treatment or in this pretreatment solution The amount of borax present is preferably in the range from 0.5 to 10 g / l, in particular 1 to 5 g / l and preferably 3 g / l.
- the Pretreat the vegetable substrate with this solution preferably at a temperature of 30 to 60 ° C, preferred 40 to 50 ° C and especially at 45 ° C. This Pretreatment advantageously enables a higher one Degree of bleaching of the cellulose fiber material obtained, the Bleaching is preferably carried out simultaneously with the digestion.
- Unlocking the vegetable substrate can also be done in two successive identical stages. Between these stages, the part of the unwanted that has been resolved by then Cellulose fiber accompanying substances are removed. This two-step procedure facilitates the extensive or complete removal of these substances.
- the drained used cooking solution and the residue with water rinsed which preferably has a temperature which the drained solution or may be slightly lower.
- the container with the washed residue refilled with water the water for example adjusted to a pH of about 8 with trisodium phosphate can be.
- the water used for rinsing can also be used accordingly be treated.
- the cellulose fiber material obtained then to a pH of 8 adjusted aqueous solution with an enzyme or enzyme mixture treated This is supposed to be mainly the addition of cellulose existing starch can be reduced. All are in this regard suitable enzymes can be used. For example, in pectases and lignases may also be present in an enzyme mixture.
- a suitable enzyme product for starch degradation is, for example Thermamyl® from Novo Nordisk.
- the enzyme or enzyme mixture or enzyme product in an amount of 1 to 10 ml per Liters of water, in particular 2 to 8 and preferably 3 to 5 ml per Liters of water used.
- After the enzyme treatment is done again rinsed and the obtained cellulose fiber material dried.
- the pH of the water may vary depending on the need enzyme used can be changed. With Thermamyl® as an enzyme a pH of 8 is preferred.
- Another advantage of the method according to the invention is in that those removed after or during unlocking Pectins and calcium pectinates can be recovered in one form can, in which the gelling ability has been largely preserved is.
- the properties of the cellulose fiber material obtained corresponded those of the product of Example 1.
