Definitions
- the invention relates to a radio antenna arrangement for radio connections terrestrial radio stations for decimeter and / or centimeter waves, with one on the outside of the vehicle near the top of the window an inclined window 1 in a vehicle body mounted antenna element and with one on the Vehicle roof 10 or the window or the dividing line between roof and window partially overlapping base plate 4 with the on this attached and protruding antenna element as a radiator 3 with a Radiator connection point 2.
- Radio antennas of this type are e.g. known from WO 93/23890 and executed as Group antennas in DE 4 339 162
- Such antennas are often either on the roof of the vehicle, or on the Rear or front window attached to its upper edge. In special cases may the attachment also directly in the area of the dividing line between the the upper edge of the window and the vehicle roof, as it is e.g. in DE 4 339 162 (Fig. 6).
- the GSM system is an example of the radio telephone services (D network) and the mobile radio system E network as well as the AMPS system used in the USA called that work in the frequency range from 800 MHz to 1900 MHz.
- a satellite radio service should often be possible, such as. the Global Positioning System (GPS), or one in planning bidirectional satellite radio service with low-flying satellites (Leos), or a receiving antenna for terrestrial digital audio broadcasting signals in the L-band. All the services mentioned work in the range from 1400 to 1600 MHz.
- the object of the invention is therefore a radio antenna arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1 with a patch antenna for to combine the satellite radio services in a space-saving way, that the strong signal coupling due to the crowded structure in the transmission mode of one antenna, the reception with the other antenna is not disturbed.
- the common base plate 4 serves both as electrical counterweight for the radiator 3 as well as for the Patch antenna 7.
- the radiation coupling between the radiator 3, which is designed as a rod radiator, and the patch antenna is smallest when the patch antenna as shown in FIG Spotlight is oriented, with the perpendicular bisector one Patch edge with the connecting line of the spotlight center whose lower end coincides with the center of the patch. Satellite radio services work for vehicle communication in the Frequency range around 1.5 GHz.
- D-network / AMPS network antennas operate in the frequency range around 800 MHz or 900 MHz.
- the resonance frequencies of the radiators and the Patch antennas are thus far enough apart.
- the frequency spacing is sufficiently large to accommodate Arrange the patch antenna and the radiators so close together.
- the patch antenna is in an embodiment of the invention between two emitters of the Mobile telephones arranged to save space. It is special Advantage of the invention that the DC power supply of the GPS antenna amplifier on the base plate 4, for example, over the signal-carrying conductor of an antenna line can take place. This ensures an optimal signal to noise ratio in the GPS reception system.
- the antenna characteristics of the patch antenna is normal to the glass pane with its main direction. The large opening angle of the antenna lobe in connection with the flat angles of inclination of current front or rear window arrangements ensures the necessary radio contact to the satellites.
- a particular problem is the edge radiation of the cell phone radiators in the form of noise on the reception frequency of the Satellite antenna. It is therefore often necessary to do this Edge emission by a bandstop on the frequency of the Satellite reception, which is in the signal path between the antenna line 5 and cellular radiator is switched to suppress (see Fig. 4a).
- the Antenna line can be designed as a multiple line.
- the signal-carrying conductor is extremely narrow must be realized so that a wave resistance of 50 ohms is realized can be.
- the signal-carrying conductor can be very narrow between the be embedded in both outer ground surfaces. The outer Ground areas are spaced at appropriate intervals using Vias 19 connected to each other. Because of the very narrow signal-carrying conductor 20 can only relatively small high-frequency powers are transmitted, such as as reception powers of a satellite signal given are. In contrast to that, is the cellular antenna High-frequency power to be transmitted for one line this shape too big.
- the two outer conductor layers are too large to avoid capacities removed in the area of the coplanar line.
- narrow conductor bridges 22 are such designed that the wave resistance requirement at the concerned Frequency is satisfied. With the help of appropriately attached Vias 19, the ground surfaces 24 on both sides of the multiple line electrically connected become.
