Definitions
- the present invention relates to an alpine ski boot which has a shell base provided with an outer sole and surmounted by a rod, this the latter being provided with a central and / or anterior opening for passage the foot of a skier and forming at its upper part a collar intended to enclose the lower leg by means of at least one tensioning member arranged on transverse flaps, made on either side of the opening of the rod and coming cooperate in closing by mutual recovery under the action of said body tensioner.
- a shoe of this type has a rigid shell base with a sole external, a rod rigidly fixed thereon which forms at its upper part a collar intended to enclose the lower leg by means of a tensioning member and elastically extensible parts. These parts are arranged in front and in back of the rod to, also, allow and facilitate the passage of the foot to footwear - heaving.
- An anterior upper closing cover constitutes a part suitable for the top of the foot, and means for controlling flexion, for example an elastic band provided with spring, are associated with the rod.
- the ski boot has a shell base provided with an outer sole and surmounted by a rod provided with a central and anterior opening for the passage of a skier's foot; this rod forms at its upper part a collar intended to enclose the lower leg by through at least one tensioning member arranged on transverse flaps made on either side of the opening of said rod and intended to cooperate in closing by mutual recovery under the action of said tensioning member.
- the solution to solve the problem of sealing the transverse flaps, or parts recovery consists in bringing a flexible waterproof cover means on the outside of the shoe to wrap the two flaps, closing the gap remaining between them in the closed position of the shoe.
- Italian Patent No. 1,247,070 and European Patent Application EP-A-0572 862 tend to offer a shoe offering these qualities, thanks to the realization of flaps flexible which are then attached to a rigid shell base on both sides an anterior opening with which it is provided and which is dimensioned for allow the passage of the foot.
- flaps flexible which are then attached to a rigid shell base on both sides an anterior opening with which it is provided and which is dimensioned for allow the passage of the foot.
- Such a construction turns out to be complex to carry out because it requires many parts which are to be assembled and adjusted on the shell base and does not simplify the structure of the rod in the corresponding zone at the bottom of the skier's leg.
- European patent application EP-A-0619 958 describes a ski boot having a shell base provided with an outer sole and surmounted by a rod, provided with a central or anterior opening for the passage of a skier's foot.
- This rod forms, at its upper part, a collar intended to enclose the lower leg by means of at least one tensioning member arranged on flaps transverse. The latter, made on either side of the opening of the rod, are intended to cooperate in closing by mutual recovery under the action of the organ tensioner.
- This shoe actually consists of two main parts which are consisting, on the one hand, of the shell base which has an opening asymmetrical longitudinal, and on the other hand, at least one flap element, obtained in a less rigid material than that of the shell base, which is attached and fixed only on the lower lateral side of the asymmetrical longitudinal opening of the hull base.
- the other side of the opening is delimited by another element of flap obtained in one piece with the shell base.
- This type of shoe offers a relatively wide foot introduction area and easy to access, but presents, as explained above, the problems encountered in finding a compromise between a hull base having qualities of resistance to torsion and a rod benefiting from parts flexible enough to lend itself to the individual aspects of the morphology of the foot. Indeed, the fact that only the flap element which is attached to the shell base is obtained in a less rigid material than that of the shell base, the rod does not lends itself correctly to the morphology of the foot only on the side where it is fixed, i.e. on the asymmetrical longitudinal opening, therefore on the lateral region of the foot.
- the invention aims to remedy all these drawbacks by proposing a shoe ski, central entry type and / or front called “variable volume", which is extremely simplified construction, easy to put on and take off, easily adjustable on the lower leg and the skier's foot, and waterproof. Also, the invention aims to provide such a shoe which is rigid laterally for a good transmission of the skier's support on the upper of the shoe, and relatively flexible in the longitudinal direction of the latter to control elastically in effort and / or amplitude of movement of the front and / or rear supports of said skier.
- the invention relates to the extremely simplified realization of a alpine ski boot obtained from a shell base provided with a sole external and surmounted by a rod, provided with a central and / or anterior opening for the passage of a skier's foot, which forms a collar at its upper part intended to grip the lower leg by means of at least one member tensioner arranged on transverse flaps, made on either side of the opening of the rod and intended to cooperate in closing by mutual overlap, under the action of said tensioning member.
- the ski boot consists of two main parts which consist on the one hand of the base hull longitudinally open at its upper part and made in one relatively rigid material and on the other hand a single cover-closure element attached and fixed on the periphery of the upper longitudinal opening of said shell base, this element presenting itself and in one piece a first substantially vertical part forming the rod enclosing the lower leg via the collar and a second substantially horizontal part obtained in extension of the first and forming an upper holding cover foot, the assembly thus formed being obtained from a relatively less material as rigid as that of the hull base.
- the longitudinal opening of the shell base extends almost over the entire length, from the latter from an anterior region close to its tip and along a width such as to determine a large opening for the entry of the foot.
- the present invention also relates to the characteristics which will emerge during the description which follows, and which should be considered in isolation or according to all their possible technical combinations.
- Figure 1 is a side view of a shoe according to the invention.
- Figure 2 is a perspective view of the part of the shoe constituting a cover and closure element for the lower shell base (not shown).
- Figure 3 is a side view of the shell base according to the invention.
- FIG. 4 is a rear view of the shoe according to FIG. 3.
- FIG. 5 is a front view of the shoe according to FIG. 3.
- the shoe 1 designated as a whole on the Figure 1 shows an outer sole 2 and a shell base 3 surmounted by a rod 4 provided, on its upper part with an opening 5, central and / or anterior, to allow the passage of the skier's foot.
- the rod 4 forms, in this upper part, a collar 6 intended to enclose the lower leg by through at least one tensioning member 7, arranged on flaps transverse 10, or 10c, 10d, 10e, which will be described in more detail below.
- the opening of the rod 4 is carried out towards the front of the shoe 1 but of course the invention is not limited thereto.
- Said flaps 10 are therefore produced on either side of the opening front of rod 4 and are intended to cooperate in closure by overlap mutual, under the action of the tensioning organs 7.
- the shoe 1 consists of two main parts which consist on the one hand of the hull base 3 longitudinally open 11 at its upper part and made of a relatively rigid material and on the other hand a single cover-closure element 12 attached and fixed on the periphery 11a of the upper longitudinal opening 11 of said shell base 3, this element 12 presenting itself and in one piece a first part substantially vertical forming the rod 4 enclosing the lower leg by through the collar 6 and a second substantially horizontal part 13 obtained in extension of the first and forming an upper holding cover foot, the assembly thus formed being obtained from a relatively less material rigid than that of the hull base 3.
- the part 13 of the cover-closure element 12 forming the cover. upper foot support covers the corresponding longitudinal opening 11 of the shell base 3 by forming at least two adjacent transverse flaps 10, or 10a, 10b, arranged on either side of the longitudinal axis of the hull base 3 and provided with a plurality of tensioning members 7 located opposite and acting on said flaps 10 in transverse direction.
- the longitudinal opening 11 of the shell base 3 extends almost the entire length of it from a close anterior area of its tip 14 and along a width such as to determine a large opening foot entry.
- transverse flaps 10 of the cover element 12, ie 10a and 10b overlap one another and extend continuously one on the other, at least in the area of the upper cover 13 for holding the foot, forming between them a fold 15 in the manner of a bellows in order to ensure a permanent sealing of shoe 1, including when said flaps 10a and 10b are moved aside to give passage to the foot when putting on or heaving.
- transverse flaps 10c, 10d, 10e of collar 6 are obtained by separate cutting and come reciprocally into overlapping of each other at their free edges directed towards the axis longitudinal of the opening 5 at least in the upper zone of the rod 4.
- the flaps 10c and 10d are arranged on the same side of the collar 6 and are intended to cooperate with a flap 10th single located on the other side.
- the cover-closure element 12 forming both the rod 4 and the upper cover 13 for holding the foot and fixed on the periphery 11a of the upper longitudinal opening 11 of the base of shell 3, by means of fixing points 16 capable of connecting together two peripheral connection zones A and B arranged in superposition, and constituting respectively the lower periphery of the cover-closure element 12 and the upper circumference of the hull base 3.
- connection zones A and B have the particularity of presenting relatively smaller thicknesses than that of the cover-closure element 12 and the base of the shell 3 themselves, themselves rigidities different, as already mentioned above.
- the attachment points 16 of the cover-closure element 12 relative to the shell base 3 are preferably arranged on the front periphery of the horizontal part of said element forming the upper cover 13 for holding the foot, from two articulation axes 17 located at the malleoli of the foot of the skier to allow their relative pivoting relative to each other, by a elastic flexibility effect of the rod 4 relative to the upper cover 13 for holding foot, the posterior zone thereof extending beyond the axes of articulation 17 and being devoid of attachment points 16 relative to the shell base 3.
- the fixing points 16 are constituted by rivets, but it is obvious that they could be replaced by any other means of known assembly such as, for example, by a respective gluing of zones A and B in an equally anterior part of the peripheries of element 12 and the opening 11 of the shell base 3, from the same articulation axes 17.
- the shell base 3 is extended to its posterior end 3a, corresponding to its heel, by an extension relatively rigid vertical 18 extending above the skier's ankle towards the base of his calf, at a height h corresponding substantially to the two third of the total height H of shoe 1, covering at least partially the lateral zones of the skier's malleoli.
- the shoe 1 consists of two thirds rigid part (the shell base 3) and a third of flexible part (the collar 6).
- the rear vertical end 18 of the shell base 3 comprises a rear support element 19 located in the longitudinal axis of the shoe 1 and able to cooperate with a corresponding part of the part forming the rod 4 of the cover-closure element 12 pivotally mounted on the shell base 3.
- the rod 4 is thus blocked towards the rear and offers the skier a firm support for its anteroposterior balance.
- the rear vertical extension 18 of the shell base 3 comprises preferably two edges 20 of lateral support extending behind the axes of pivot 17 and able to cooperate with corresponding parts of the rod 4.
- the shoe 1 can also be provided means 21 for limiting the amplitude of the possible pivoting of the rod 4 by relative to the shell base 3 and relative to the upper cover 13 for holding the foot.
- These means 21 make it possible to control the movement of the rod 4 and therefore the possibility of postero-anterior flexion of the skier's leg.
- elastically deformable devices or organs for example can be coupled / associated with the rod 4 and the shell base 3 in order to vary with the requires the intensity of the efforts resisting the bending of the rod.
