Definitions
- the invention relates to sound insulation for containers, apparatus and pipes according to. the preamble of claim 1, as used in plant construction, when sound sources are arranged in them or noise is radiated into them and the environment is therefore exposed to sound via their wall.
- the containers, apparatuses or lines are expediently encased with an outer wall, usually made of sheet metal, an anti-drumming covering also optionally being applied to the outer sheet on the inside or outside.
- the outer wall is usually at a distance of about 10 cm to 30 cm from the noise-emitting wall.
- the intermediate space e.g. for heat and sound insulation Mineral wool can be introduced.
- this is done by attaching an intermediate wall in front of the outer wall. This partition then vibrates due to the sound and the sound waves are converted into mechanical vibrations, whereby the sound is absorbed.
- the distance between the intermediate wall and the outer wall should be approximately 0.01-1 mm.
- a space between 0.3 and 0.7 mm is particularly suitable.
- the constant distance between the two walls is not decisive.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 In noise-filled systems, such as ducts or components, the wall of which is designated 1, an outer sheet metal shell 6 is applied to the outside of the wall, which now improves the sound insulation in conjunction with acoustic damping 2 of the cavity between the outer wall and the sheet metal shell in front. If there are high acoustic requirements for the improvement of sound insulation, the outer, usually 1 - 2 mm thick sheet metal shell is now covered with anti-drumming materials 5, usually 2 - 3 times the sheet thickness. This increases the sound insulation by the fact that the weight per unit area increases significantly and that Bending shafts can be dampened in the outer sheet metal shell. The outer sheet metal shell 6 is held by means of spacers 3.
- Sound absorption material for example mineral wool 2
- a substructure 4 for example a profile, can be arranged on the spacer 3.
- the outer plate 6 is fastened thereon by means of screws or rivets 8.
- an anti-drumming coating 5 is now additionally applied to the sheet 6. This is glued or sprayed or filled.
- the solvent evaporates and the anti-noise coating with a thickness of two to three times the thickness remains on the sheet. This application method is harmful because of the solvent vapors, and is also time-consuming and therefore expensive.
- the anti-drumming covering is not heat-resistant and even flammable.
- Fig. 2 shows the application of the invention to such components.
- the intermediate wall 7 according to the invention is attached in front of the sheet metal wall 6.
- This sheet of metal is about half as thick. It is only necessary to ensure that a small air gap 9 of approximately 0.5 mm remains between the two sheets. This can e.g. at the fastening points of the outer sheet metal shell by placing a 0.5 cm thick sheet of metal underneath.
- the advantages according to the invention are, in particular, simple assembly, the solution according to the invention can also be subjected to high temperatures, and is also non-combustible, cheaper and lighter.

Abstract
