Description

The invention relates to a multi-bale opener for a plurality of fiber bale rows arranged next to one another and fed to conveying devices according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a method for opening and mixing a plurality of fiber bale rows fed next to one another according to the preamble of claim 19.

Removal devices of the type mentioned are known in various designs. A bale opener is known from DE-A-29 31 500, in which a row of bales with a horizontal bale feed is fed against a sloping removal plane of a reciprocating removal device.

A bale opener is known from DE-A-32 10 602, in which the fiber bales are placed in a circle on a floor surface. The stripping device, the stripping plane of which runs essentially parallel to the floor surface, spirally processes the fiber bales arranged in a circle down to the floor level. Such a bale opener has the disadvantage that a continuous supply of new bales is not possible and that the mixing of the fiber flakes is limited to the number of fiber bales located under the circular removal surface.

Document GB-A-2 096 191 describes a multi-bale opener for a plurality of bales arranged on an annular surface, which are removed spirally with the aid of a milling head guided in a carriage. The milling head is held in a rotating portal-like carriage, which does not allow the continuous feeding of new bales and therefore does not allow a continuous mixing of continuously fed bales. The mixture is limited to the fiber bales in the ring surface, after which a completely new batch is opened and mixed. The milling head is continuously fed against the surface of the bale in a spiral movement.

From FR-A-2 620 462 a multi-bale opener is known, in which several rows of bales placed side by side are fed on a horizontal conveying device against an inclined removal plane of a removal device. The removal device consists of a back and forth movable tower with a boom extending transversely to the direction of movement, which is provided with a milling device. The boom is movable in the vertical direction and the milling device is inclined in accordance with the removal plane of the removal device which runs obliquely to the horizontal feed plane. During the back and forth movement of the tower, a synchronized up and down movement of the boom must be provided in order to maintain the oblique angle of the removal plane. The tower can be swiveled through 180 ° in order to be able to alternately process another bale display on a second conveyor.

From CH-A-503,809 a multi-bale opener is known for a plurality of fiber bale rows arranged side by side and adjustable on conveyors. In the end region of the conveyor devices, a movable removal device is arranged, which has at least one milling head rotatably mounted in a boom. The removal plane of the milling head runs at an acute angle to the feed plane of the end region of the conveyor devices.

Based on this prior art, the invention has for its object to provide a multi-bale opener, and a method for opening and mixing several rows of fiber bales fed side by side, which achieve a high removal rate, a reduced space requirement and a reduced mechanical effort.

19.The features of claims 1 and 19 are used to achieve this object.

According to the invention, it is advantageously provided that the boom on the removal plane about a stationary axis running perpendicular to the removal plane in the rows of fiber bales are fed against the removal plane and are processed by the milling head in the boom.

The multi-bale opener according to the invention with a fixed axis of rotation of the boom can machine a large work surface with a minimal space requirement. Since the boom rotates without feed in the direction of the removal plane, it has only a single degree of freedom in the movement, namely the rotation, so that the mechanical outlay is considerably reduced compared to known multi-bale openers. The large work surface in connection with the simple movement of the boom enables a high removal rate with continuous bale feed. Due to the simplified mechanical structure, the susceptibility to faults is also reduced, which additionally increases productivity.

Due to the cut running across the fiber bale, the oblique processing of the fiber bale has the advantage of already producing a mixture of the fibers within the bale. This eliminates the need for an additional downstream mixing device. The rotation of the removal device results in a continuous mixing in contrast to the reciprocating removal devices. Since the removal level of the removal device is stationary, there is a reduced energy consumption compared to removal devices moved up and down.

It is preferably provided that there is a separate conveying device for each row of fiber bales. The separate feeding of the different fiber bale rows enables the setting of any mixing ratios, whereby different batches can be processed one after the other without interruption and without changing the bale display.

In one embodiment it is provided that the removal plane of the removal device runs obliquely to the horizontal. In this exemplary embodiment, the rows of fiber bales are preferably conveyed on a horizontal feed plane against the active surface of the removal device, and the conveying system can be designed relatively simply in this way.

In another embodiment it is provided that the feed planes of the conveying device in the region of the removal surface run obliquely to the horizontal. The removal plane of the removal device preferably runs horizontally. The fiber bale rows are thus fed to the removal surface of the removal device in a ramp-like manner. The advantage of this embodiment is that a removal device rotating in a horizontal plane is structurally and dynamically more stable.

It is preferably provided that the conveying device for the individual fiber bale rows can be adjusted with regard to their ramp angle. With the aid of the ramp angle, different fiber bale heights can be taken into account. Furthermore, the infeed in the direction of the removal surface can be changed via the slope of the ramp.

In one embodiment, it is provided that the boom rotates about an axis extending at the same distance from the lateral outer edges of the fiber bale rows. Such a removal device can already use milling heads that have been tried and tested in practice.

In a further embodiment it is provided that the removal device rotates in a ring guide without a central axis bearing. The advantage of this embodiment is that there is no space left for the axis of rotation of the removal device between the fiber bale rows. Furthermore, such a construction is more stable when the removal plane of the removal device is inclined with respect to the horizontal.

In the direction of rotation of the removal device, only a single milling drum is in engagement with the fiber bales. This reduces the mechanical effort for processing the fiber bales and thus the costs for a milling head.

It is preferably provided that the direction of removal rotates only in one direction of rotation. In this way, the milling head and the milling drum can be optimized for one direction of rotation and the structural design can be simplified.

In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the transport speed of the conveying device can be set separately for each row of fiber bales. The separate adjustability of the transport and thus the delivery speed has the essential Advantage that the mixing ratio of the fiber bale rows can be adjusted continuously. In extreme cases, individual rows of fiber bales can be stopped if a certain fiber quality is not required. With the appropriate number of fiber bale rows, any desired mixing ratio can be set. In particular, switching from one lot to another is possible at any time without delay and without putting together a new bale show. Another advantage is that even small batches can be provided in this way.

A plurality of removal devices rotating in the same removal plane can be arranged one behind the other. In this way, the removal rate can be increased or the removal rate of the individual milling drums can be reduced, whereby the flake size can be reduced and the mixture can be improved.

It is also possible to arrange several removal devices rotating in the same removal plane next to one another transversely to the feed direction of the fiber bale rows in order to thereby increase the number of fiber bales processed simultaneously.

It is also possible that the engagement areas of the removal devices overlap. In this way, in particular when the removal devices are arranged next to one another, the fiber bale rows processed by the two removal devices can be processed more intensively, and at the same time the transport speed of the associated conveyor belts can be increased.

The conveyors can feed the rows of fiber bales from opposite sides of the removal device. In this way, the number of fiber bale qualities available can be further increased. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings.

The multi-bale opener 1 has a conveying device 6 comprising a plurality of transport tracks 6a to 6h, which run parallel to one another and are arranged next to one another and which, in the first exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, can accommodate a total of eight fiber bale rows 8a to 8h next to one another.

The individual conveyor tracks 6a to 6h preferably consist of endlessly driven conveyor belts which run essentially horizontally in a section 20 at the front in the transport direction, on which the batch can be presented, and in a rear section 22 in the manner of an ascending ramp in the region of one of of the removal device 2 processed horizontal removal surface 16 rise such that the end section of the conveyor belts reaches the removal level of the removal surface 16. The transport tracks 6a to 6h are held at this upper end of the conveyor pivotable about a common axis of rotation in bearings 24, the lower end of the inclined transport tracks 6a to 6h depending on the height of the fiber bale 10 can be raised such that the upper edges of the respective submitted rows of fiber bales enter the removal level of the removal device 2 at the same height.

The transport tracks 6a to 6h are preferably subdivided one or more times, the last subdivision being able to be provided at the beginning of the removal surface 16.

The divided transport tracks 6a to 6h can be coupled to one another in the feed direction via a toothed belt or the like. The front transport track section 20 is pivotally mounted at its front end in the transport direction in order to enable different lifting of the fiber bale rows 8a to 8h already in the penultimate transport track section 20 and to enable a virtually stepless transition to the last transport track section 22.

The transport tracks are raised in the area of the removal surface 16 using devices 26, e.g. Linear motors such as hydraulic piston-cylinder units which, as can be seen for example from FIG. 2, can be arranged in pairs to the side of the transport tracks 6a to 6h and can be adjusted to a desired height using a suitable control device. Similar lifting devices can also be provided for the front transport track section 20. The fiber bale rows 8a to 8h arranged next to one another can, as can be seen from FIG. 2, be guided from side support walls 28 to the end of the ramp formed by the transport tracks 6a to 6h.

In the exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 1 to 3, the removal surface 16 of the removal device 2 covers approximately the length of four fiber bales 10 arranged one behind the other and a total of eight fiber bales arranged next to one another.

The removal device 2 consists of a milling head 4 located in a boom 12, which rotates about a vertical axis 30. The milling head preferably contains only a single milling drum 5 removed fiber flakes flung upward into a suction chamber 32, from which they are pneumatically transported away via a suction line.

The milling head 4 rotates continuously at a constant speed in one direction of rotation and in a horizontal removal plane. Because the height of the transport tracks 6a to 6h is adapted to the respective bale height at the beginning of the removal surface 16 of the removal device 2, fiber bales 10 with different dimensions can be placed on the individual transport tracks. It is therefore possible to assign a different fiber bale quality to each row of fiber bales and to mix this with the other fiber bale qualities in any mixing ratio depending on the transport speed.

The mixing ratio can namely be set or changed at any time in a simple manner via the delivery speed of the conveyor belts.

Switching the batch to a different mixture is possible without the need to replace the bale template. If, for example, the new mixture should not contain a certain fiber quality, it is possible to simply stop the corresponding transport path.

The multi-bale opener 1 thus opens up the possibility of assembling and processing different batches with different mixing ratios using a uniform bale template.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, an alley is formed between four rows of fiber bales 8a to 8d and 8e to 8h, in the middle of which the axis of rotation 30 of the removal device 2 extends. The boom 12 rotates on a stand 34, which can contain a suction channel for the suction chamber 32 and, moreover, a rotary transformer for the power transmission at the transition point to the boom 12.

At the front end of the fiber bale rows 8a to 8h, a transverse conveyor belt 36 is provided, onto which each new fiber bale 10 can be pushed by means of a further conveyor belt 42. A disposal station 44 for removing the packaging and the like can be provided in front of the transverse conveyor belt 36. The respective new fiber bale 10 is then moved behind one or the other fiber bale row 8a to 8h to the desired position, whereupon the respective new fiber bale 10 can be moved onto the subsequent conveyor 6 by means of a stamping device 38 or 40. In this way, a constant supply of fresh fiber bales 10 to the fiber bale rows 8a to 8h is ensured, which enables continuous work.

At the end of the conveyor 6, the removal device 2 rotates with the milling head 4 located in the boom 12. The feed level of the conveyor belts 6a to 6h in the front section 22 intersects with the removal level of the removal device 2 in the front Area of the fiber bale rows 8. The conveyor belts 6a to 6h can end earlier and can be extended with guide plates lying in the feed plane. To limit the bale advance, a vertical baffle plate 18 which limits the removal surface 16 in the infeed direction can limit the removal surface 16 at the end of the conveying device 6. The guide plate 18 is curved in an arc shape, the radius of curvature of which runs concentrically with the axis of rotation 30 of the removal device 2. The guide plate 18 can include an arc of approximately 180 ° and thus delimit the end of the fiber bale rows in a semicircle. The guide plate 18 also has the effect that the fiber bale remnants lying in the feed direction behind the axis of rotation 30 are deflected towards the center and fill in the free alley 46 which is no longer required there.

The removal device 2 can also have two or more brackets 12 projecting from one another at the same angular distance.

The movement of the two milling heads 4 must therefore be synchronized. Characterized in that the removal surface 16 is considerably enlarged in the feed direction, the angle of inclination between the removal plane of the removal devices 2 and the feed plane of the conveying devices 6 can be reduced, the number of simultaneously processed fiber bales being increased considerably and the mixture thereby being improved.

In contrast to the exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 1 to 3, the removal devices 2 according to FIG. 4 rotate about an axis of rotation 30 inclined to the vertical. In contrast to FIGS. 1 to 3, the conveying devices 6 preferably have no ramp and run horizontally. Suction lines 31 run in the stands 34 and carry away the fiber flakes thrown into the suction space of the milling heads 4. The alley 46 located between the fiber bale rows 8a to 8d and 8e to 8h can be used for the suction lines 31.

The embodiment of FIG. 5 shows a double ramp arrangement, in which the fiber bale rows 8 are fed from opposite directions to two removal devices 2 arranged at the end of the respective fiber bale rows 8. The removal surfaces 16 of the two removal devices may overlap or even touch. If there is a risk of collision between the two arms 12 of the removal devices 2, the movement of the milling heads 4 must be synchronized.

Fig. 6 shows an embodiment in plan view, in which a two-bladed double milling head 15 is provided from two mutually opposite milling heads 4, which does not rotate on a stand 34, but in a ring guide 48, for example a rail circle. In this way, the alley 46 can be omitted and the capacity of the multi-bale opener 1 can be increased again. The milling head 4 contains two counter-rotating milling drums 5. The exhaust air flow must follow are discharged above, while the drive can be provided, for example, at both front ends of the milling head in connection with the ring guide 48. This exemplary embodiment can be carried out both with a horizontally lying ring guide 48 and a ramp-like feed of the fiber bales 10, and also with an obliquely inclined ring guide 48 and a horizontal fiber bale feed.

In the exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 3 and 6, a support plate 19 adjoins the end of the conveying devices 6a to 6i and runs in the feed plane. In the area of the support plate 19, the fiber bales 10 are pushed forward by the advancing fiber bales on the conveyors 6a to 6i.

The lateral support walls 28 can be connected to the guide plate 18 to support the fiber bales 10.

The embodiment of FIG. 7 is similar to the embodiment of FIG. 5 with the difference that only a single removal device is used for both conveying devices 6. The embodiment shows a two-wing boom, the wings of which protrude in opposite directions. Each boom wing contains its own milling drum 5. The feed planes of the conveying devices 6 intersect with the removal plane of the removal device 2 in an area extending transversely to the conveying direction in the vicinity of the axis of rotation 30.

Instead of on. a ring guide according to the embodiment of FIG. 6 can also be used for the stand 34 rotating double-winged arm 12.

The stand 34 can be covered with a guide body 50, which holds the adjacent fiber bale rows 8 in the area of the removal surface 16 of the milling head. The guide body 50 in the alley 46 can be advanced to the outer edge of the removal surface 16.

The milling heads 4 described can contain two counter-rotating milling drums 5, but preferably they only have a single milling drum, which in turn preferably has a tangential component of the rotary movement that coincides with the rotational movement of the boom.

In the exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 1 to 7, a subsequent mixing device can be omitted because of the excellent mixing effect.

The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, in the drawings and in the claims, even if they are only described in connection with a best embodiment, are intended to be essential both individually and in any combination for the implementation of the invention in its various embodiments .
