Definitions
- the invention relates to a rapier weaving machine with at least one entry belt according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the rapier gripper enters the weft thread in the central area of the shed, where it transfers it to the holer rapier.
- the gripper heads slide with the entry belts, on the top of which they are attached, on the base formed by warp threads and loading track.
- the tape guide in the shed can also be done on a sliding support, which consists of plate-shaped support teeth aligned parallel to the warp threads.
- rapier weaving machines with bringer and holer rapiers; but they can also be used on weaving machines in which the weft insertion is carried out only on one side with a rapier gripper and the pick-up of the weft thread is carried out outside the shed using a stationary device.
- the maximum acceleration of the rapier heads takes place in the entrance area of the shed.
- the inertia forces that occur create torques on the flexible entry belts with the possible consequence act so that the gripper heads lift off the loading track.
- this object is achieved by the feature of the characterizing part of claim 1.
- the belt guide between the belt wheel and the shed is provided with an inclination for both grippers, through which the gripper can be pushed into the shed with a slight incline.
- the loading track must be arranged somewhat lower with respect to the belt wheels.
- FIG. 1 The following components can be seen in FIG. 1: the gripper head 1 of the holer gripper, which is inserted into the shed at speed v; the entry belt 2, the oscillating movement of which drives the belt wheel 3; the reed 4 and the loading track 5 of the sley; the belt guide 6 with the two guide grooves 7a and 7b, in which the edges of the entry belt 2 slide.
- the tape guide 6 is inclined with respect to the horizontal 10; It has a height difference d over the length c.
- inertia I is counteracted, on the one hand, by the weight G of the gripper head 1 and, on the other hand, by a force H, which is caused by the bending of the entry belt 2 between the exit opening of the belt guide 6, namely point A, and the rear end of the gripper head 1, namely point B , results.
- This bending of the entry belt 2 between points A and B depends on the inclination with which the belt guide 6 has been provided according to the invention.
- the greater the gradient of this inclination the greater the bending force H.
- the inertia I can therefore be compensated for by the bending force H acting in addition to the weight G by a suitable choice of the gradient of the band guide 6.
- the loading track 5 In the retracted position, the gripper head 1 is located completely within the belt guide 6. Therefore, the loading track 5 must not be higher than the lower edge, which has the outlet opening of the belt guide 6 at point A; otherwise problems obviously arise when the gripper head 1 passes from the belt guide 6 to the loading path 5.
- the loading path 5 is shown somewhat lower in FIG. The higher the loading path 5, the greater the bending of the entry belt 2 between points A and B and the greater the bending force H. In order to obtain the greatest possible bending force H, the Loading track 5 can be arranged at the same height as the lower edge at point A.
- a large bending force H can damage the warp threads of the lower compartment, since this force, as long as it is not compensated for by the opposite inertia, is exerted on the loading track 5 via the lower warp threads. It may therefore be advantageous if the loading track 5 is not brought into the highest, maximum possible position, but rather, as shown in FIG. 2, is arranged in a somewhat lower position.
- the bending force H becomes smaller. It is therefore also possible to influence the bending force H by shifting the outlet opening of the band guide 6 and thus to adjust the inertia I.
- the speed of the weaving machine is also changed if necessary, and the rapier heads are replaced by others.
- an adjustment of the slope of the belt guides 6, their distance from the sley and the loading track height will then be indicated. It is therefore advantageous if the rapier weaving machine is constructed in such a way that the inclination of the belt guides 6, the distance between the belt guide 6 and the sley and / or the height of the loading track 5 can be adjusted.

Abstract
<IMAGE>The rapier weaving machine with entry belts (2) and with rapier heads (1), the focal points of which lie above the top of the belt, have belt guides (6) between the belt wheels (3) and the shed, which give the entry belts (2) a direction of movement inclined towards the shed . Thanks to these belt guides (6) with a slope, the hook heads (1) cannot be lifted off the sliding support in the shed, which means that the frequency of warp thread breaks can be reduced. <IMAGE>
Description
The invention relates to a rapier weaving machine with at least one entry belt according to the preamble of
In rapier weaving machines, which are in widespread use today, the rapier gripper enters the weft thread in the central area of the shed, where it transfers it to the holer rapier. The gripper heads slide with the entry belts, on the top of which they are attached, on the base formed by warp threads and loading track. In order to prevent damage to the lower warp threads, the tape guide in the shed can also be done on a sliding support, which consists of plate-shaped support teeth aligned parallel to the warp threads. The following explanations refer to rapier weaving machines with bringer and holer rapiers; but they can also be used on weaving machines in which the weft insertion is carried out only on one side with a rapier gripper and the pick-up of the weft thread is carried out outside the shed using a stationary device.
The maximum acceleration of the rapier heads takes place in the entrance area of the shed. The inertia forces that occur create torques on the flexible entry belts with the possible consequence act so that the gripper heads lift off the loading track.
It cannot be avoided that individual warp threads in the upper compartment do not remain stretched together with the other warp threads in one plane due to loss of tension. Sagging warp threads are at risk of being cut by the hooks. This is particularly the case when the gripper heads lift off. In order to reduce the frequency of warp thread breaks, care must be taken to ensure that the hook heads are not lifted.
From US-PS 4126159 it is known, for example, to exert stabilizing forces on the movement of the grippers with magnets. Taking off can also be suppressed with such means. With the use of magnets, however, there are new problems (e.g. excitation of vibrations, demagnetization of permanent magnets, additional energy requirements for electromagnets, larger mass of the gripper heads due to the use of ferromagnetic material). It is an object of the invention to provide simpler means by means of which a lifting of the gripper heads to more harmless lifting heights can be reduced or even better prevented.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the feature of the characterizing part of
Various advantageous embodiments of the rapier weaving machine according to the invention are characterized in the
- 1 shows a perspective view of the pick side in the area of the shed of the rapier weaving machine according to the invention and
- 2 shows the longitudinally cut band guide and the holer gripper head in the edge area of the sley.
The following components can be seen in FIG. 1: the
The
In FIG. 2, where all the components can be seen again, as in FIG. 1, with the exception of the
In the retracted position, the
A large bending force H can damage the warp threads of the lower compartment, since this force, as long as it is not compensated for by the opposite inertia, is exerted on the
For larger distances between points A and B, the bending force H becomes smaller. It is therefore also possible to influence the bending force H by shifting the outlet opening of the
When changing articles, the speed of the weaving machine is also changed if necessary, and the rapier heads are replaced by others. In general, an adjustment of the slope of the
All of the statements made above with regard to the Holer gripper naturally also apply in a corresponding manner to the Bringer gripper. As the delivery head usually has a larger mass than the Holerkopf has and because of this there is also a greater inertia force, it is advantageous to provide the tape guide with a correspondingly greater inclination on the bringer side.
