Definitions

  • the invention relates to a curtain wall in element construction with a grid of assembled on axis dimensions and spaced from each other profile frames with joints between them, which are accessible in the assembled state of the profile frame for sealing the facade from the outside and from the inside for inserting at least one seal .
  • the individual elements which can be assembled independently of one another, can be installed and removed in any order, so that an exchange of the individual elements is possible and an assembly direction that has been taken in can also be changed. Since the individual elements must be able to be installed independently of each other, there are joints between them in the horizontal and vertical directions, which can be sealed after the facade elements have been installed.
  • the facade elements can be designed as rectangular frame parts that occupy the entire height of the facade. In a grid of profile frames assembled on axial dimensions, vertical and horizontal continuous joints result, which can be sealed by appropriate continuous seals.
  • a facade of the generic type has become known from FR-A-2552798.
  • the joint is sealed in the outer area between the profile frames in that two sealing elements are inserted from the outside against a shoulder of the profile frames lying opposite one another and these are pressed against the shoulder by means of holders engaging in end grooves of the profile frame.
  • a seal is then made from the inside of the joint, which is glued to the sealing elements and the legs of the profile frame pointing to the joint side.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to design a curtain wall of the type mentioned in such a way that the assembly or disassembly is particularly simplified by a special design of the profile frame and the joint seal, the costs are reduced, it should be ensured that the seal in the outer area of the facade can be easily inserted from both the outside and the inside of the facade.
  • the profile frames are attached to the structure in a manner known per se with the help of facade anchors. Since the joint is freely accessible from the inside of the facade, the seal can be made from the building side, so that no scaffolding or similar devices are required to insert the seal. Only in areas where the joint is covered from the inside due to structural conditions, it is therefore necessary to insert a seal from the outside, which allows the design of the profile frame and the coordinated shape of the seal. Since the seal to be introduced from the inside is compatible with the seal to be introduced from the outside, both seals can, for example in intermediate areas between the crossing points can be connected to each other without problems.
  • the profile frames advantageously consist of inner and outer profile parts connected to one another via an insulating bridge, the profile grooves for receiving the seals being advantageously arranged in the outer profile parts so that the seal is arranged as close as possible to the outside in the region of the opening cross section of the joint.
  • flanges are advantageously arranged on the profile frames, which project into the joint formed between two adjacent profile frames and are advantageously arranged all around on the outer circumference of the outer profile part.
  • these flanges each have an inward and an outward, preferably c-shaped groove for receiving a joint seal.
  • the free ends of the flanges projecting into the joint have an abutment surface running at an angle to the longitudinal center plane of the joint.
  • the opening cross section of the profile groove accessible from the outside is arranged in this contact surface.
  • the outer profile part advantageously has an outer flange section which partially covers the joint and completely covers the flange for receiving the joint seal. This flange section is arranged at a distance from the flange for receiving the joint seal, forming a groove.
  • the groove can be vented and drained through a suitable application of holes and openings.
  • the flange is not visible from the outside of the joint, and in addition the opening cross-section of the joint on the outside of the facade is essentially limited to a narrow slot which is sufficient to insert the joint seal from the outside, but is small enough to prevent the entry of Limit water to the area of the V-shaped legs of the joint seal.
  • the joint seals themselves which can consist of an elastic material of a known type, are essentially V-shaped and rest with their legs on the profile frame side against the inclined contact surface of the flanges.
  • the inner joint seal advantageously has wing-like sealing strips on the flange-side leg surfaces, which have an edge bead that can be inserted into the associated profile groove.
  • these wing-like sealing strips have a thickening at their frame-side end, which in the assembled state rests against the outer profile part of the profile frame and at the same time can serve to support a pressing tool of the mounting device.
  • bead-like thickenings are arranged in the edge region, so that these thickenings can be inserted into the c-shaped receiving groove.
  • the inner profile part is offset relative to the outer profile part in the direction of the central plane of the profile frame, so that there is an enlarged space in the inner region of the joint for introducing the seal from the inside.
  • the inner profile part of the profile frame advantageously has an abutment in the form of a hook-like flange on which a device for introducing the inner joint seal can be supported.
  • the profile frames have corresponding openings on the room side, into which edge flanges of a cover or the like can be used to close the joint.
  • a seal that can be inserted into grooves in the profile frame can be provided, the seal being able to be designed as a vapor barrier and sealing off the smaller joint space from the larger joint space.
  • the smaller joint space can be filled with an insulating material.
  • the profile frame in its area delimiting the larger joint space for receiving of heat and sound insulation devices, cable and pipe guides, partition walls, static profile reinforcements and / or the like.
  • the cables can pass through the facade in the vertical and / or horizontal direction without being visible from the outside. Additional channels are not required. The channels can also be used to hold heating devices.
  • the joint can be closed on the room side by a cover which can be inserted into grooves in the inner profile parts.
  • the joint seals can be continuous in the vertical or horizontal direction and advantageously have short sections running in the area of the crossing points in the respective other direction of the joint.
  • the joint areas arranged between the short sections are filled with intermediate pieces of the same joint seal, whereby it can advantageously be provided that these intermediate pieces overlap in the connection area and in the overlap area e.g. are connected by gluing.
  • the joint seal runs continuously in the horizontal direction, it can be covered at the intersection by the vertically extending seal, which can also be designed so that it positively takes up the shape of the back of the horizontal seal.
  • the curtain wall facade shown in FIG. 1 consists of profile frames 1, 2, which are rectangular in shape and are spaced apart in a grid with axial dimensions, with a joint 3 in the vertical direction and a joint 4 between two profile frames 1, 2 are formed in the horizontal direction.
  • the joints 3, 4 are closed by joint seals 5, the vertical joint seals 5 being arranged continuously, while the horizontal joint seals consist of individual pieces.
  • the horizontal joint seal is composed of three sub-elements, namely short sections 8, 9 connected to the joint seal 5 at the intersection 7 and an intermediate piece 10.
  • the connection area 11, 12 overlap the respective intermediate piece with the section, and in the overlap area is a fixed connection, for example made by gluing. Since, as will be explained in detail later, the joint seal 5 that can be introduced from the inside and the joint seal 13 that can be introduced from the outside are compatible, a problem-free connection between the individual seals is possible.
  • each profile frame 1, 2 consists of an outer profile part 14 and an inner profile part 15. Both profile parts are connected to one another by means of an insulating bridge 16 in a manner known per se.
  • the profile parts and the insulating bridge are all-round.
  • the outer profile parts have on their Profile groove 3 or 4 facing side flanges 17, in which profile grooves 18, 19 are provided for receiving the joint seals.
  • the flanges 17 are arranged all around the profile frame 1, 2. While the profile groove 18 is accessible from the inside of the joint 3, the profile groove 19 is accessible from the outside through the opening 20, which is delimited by two outer flange sections 21, 22 of the outer profile parts 14. From FIGS.
  • the free ends of the flanges 17 have a contact surface 24 which runs obliquely to the longitudinal center plane 23 of the joint, the angle ⁇ between the contact surface 24 and the longitudinal center plane 23 preferably being less than 45 °, so that the legs 25, 26 of the inner joint seal 5 form a V, the opening angle 2 x ⁇ is less than 90 °.
  • the inner profile part 15 has an abutment 27 on the joint side, on which, for. B. can support a mounting device, not shown, for mounting the inner joint seal 5.
  • the joint 4 can be closed on the room side by a cover 28, the cover having flange sections 29 which can be inserted into corresponding grooves 30 in the inner profile part 15.
  • joint seals 5 which are designed identically, from the inside of the joints 3 and 4, respectively.
  • the joint seals have the v-shaped legs 25 and 26 already described above, which have an opening angle 2 ⁇ .
  • the legs 25 and 26 lie with their outer sides against the contact surfaces 24 of the flanges 17 and cover the opening cross section of the receiving groove 19.
  • wing-like sealing strips 31, 32 are arranged on the flange-side leg surfaces of the legs 25 and 26, the edge beads 33 in their edge section , 34 have which are received in the grooves 18 accessible from the inside.
  • the wing-like sealing strips have at their free end a thickening 35, 36 which bears against the outer profile part 14 and against which a pressure roller of an assembly device can be pressed.
  • the length of the flange sections 22, 23 is dimensioned such that the flanges 17 are visually covered from the outside. Furthermore, the projection of the opening 20 lies within the legs arranged in a V-shape, so that water entering the joint seal is drained downward.
  • the flange sections 21, 22 are arranged parallel and at a distance from the flanges 17, so that there is a groove, via which e.g. the facade can be drained or vented in the direction of the arrow.
  • the wing-like sealing strips 31, 32 are omitted. Instead, the legs 37, 38 have beads 39, 40 at their free ends, which are arranged in the receiving grooves.
  • the oblique arrangement of the contact surface 24 enables a corresponding tool to be inserted through the opening 20 for pressing the edge bead 39 into the receiving groove 19.
  • the V-legs When assembling the joint seal 5 or 6 inserted from the inside, the V-legs are first compressed to such an extent that their free ends can be passed through the opening cross-section that is formed between two adjacent flanges 17 in the joint. As soon as the free ends of the legs arranged in a V-shape are inserted into this opening, the seal between the flanges 17 centers itself when it is released, and the wing-like sealing strips 31, 32 only need to be placed on the smooth contact surfaces of the flanges 17 and the beads 33 , 34 to be inserted into the receiving grooves 18 by means of a corresponding mounting device.
  • the inner profile part 15 is offset relative to the outer profile part 14 in the direction of the central plane of the profile frame 1, so that there is a step in the inner region of the joint and at the same time an enlarged space 44 compared to the smaller room 45 is created.
  • the smaller joint space 45 for introducing the joint seal 5 becomes more accessible.
  • c-shaped grooves 46, 47 are provided, into which a seal 41 can be inserted, which closes the space 45 from the space 44 and serves as a vapor barrier.
  • the smaller joint space 45 can also be filled with an insulating material, while the enlarged joint space 44 can be used to accommodate heat and sound insulation devices, cable and pipe guides, partition walls, static profile reinforcements and / or the like.
  • Fig. 4 shows that the enlarged joint space is not closed by a cover 28, but that partition elements 48, 49 protrude into the enlarged joint space.
  • the particular advantage of the practically continuous joint spaces 44 is that they can be used as continuous cable ducts integrated into the facade, so that additional shafts or ducts are not required for the laying of electrical lines.
  • the cover 28 shown in FIG. 2 is of split design and has a split seal 42, so that increases or decreases in the joint width as a result of temperature influences can be accommodated.
