Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drum washing machine with a tub which can be supplied with washing liquor via a detergent dispenser box which can be connected to a water supply network via a free flow path and which is connected to a drain pump and a drain line via a bellows-type drainage pipe, a valve with a valve in the drain pipe Float is arranged, which is stable in the closed position by hydrostatic pressure in the drain line and / or a fresh water line.
  • the float In a generic drum washing machine (GM 78 13 695), the float is brought into its closed position by hydrostatic water pressure and held there before the actual water inlet and the washing-in of the detergent into the tub. As a result, the float closes an opening formed in the tub in the area of the drain connector. For washing in of detergent when the valve is closed, it is ensured that no detergent gets into the outlet nozzle before the lye is pumped out via the drain pump and can therefore be lost for a washing process to be carried out. After the lye has been pumped out, the valve can be closed again by lye flowing back out of the drain line in order to build up the required hydrostatic pressure.
  • fresh water supplied to the washing machine is not first fed into the tub via the detergent dispenser but fed to the drain pipe via the fresh water pipe.
  • This fresh water supply increases the hydrostatic pressure for a safe closing of the valve at the beginning of each washing process.
  • This branching off of fresh water supplied requires considerable additional design effort and makes the use of additional control means necessary.
  • a washing machine with a induction pan for receiving powdery or liquid additives and with a distributor chamber upstream of the induction pan has become known, in which a water distribution device is arranged over a free air gap from the induction pan. There is also a drain for flushing the additives from the induction pan into the tub and a bypass for the leakage water drain from the distribution chamber.
  • the secondary line is led from the distribution chamber to the drain hose in front of the drain pump into the drain system.
  • the spray and leakage water of the water distribution device that collects in the distribution chamber flows through the secondary line into the drain system, fills the spaces of the fluff filter and the drain hose and can overflow into the tub through the drain. This prevents additives from being flushed into the drain system and pumped out unused after the washing process.
  • this washing machine does not contain any valve device in the drain.
  • the invention has for its object to design a drum washing machine of the type mentioned so that with little construction and without additional Control effort during each wash cycle the valve is closed.
  • the fresh water line has an overflow opening connected to an inlet line. After a predeterminable liquid level in the fresh water line has been reached, leakage water that continues to flow can thus simply be drained off into the tub. It is also advantageous that the fresh water line is connected via a housing part of the drain pump to the drain socket, which is arranged adjacent to the suction side of a pump chamber receiving an impeller. This arrangement prevents wash liquor from being pumped into the fresh water line during pumping. However, it can also be advantageous to provide a check valve in the fresh water line in order to prevent wash liquor from being pumped into the fresh water line, regardless of how a connection is made between the fresh water line and the outlet connection. In order to connect the fresh water pipe to the drain pipe, it can then be connected, for example, directly to this or to the drain pipe.
  • a tub 2 shown rotated by 90 ° is elastically held in a housing 1 in a manner not shown.
  • a drum 3 with a loading opening 4 is mounted inside the tub 2 .
  • a detergent dispenser 5 which can be at least partially pulled out of the housing 1 and has chambers for holding detergent or the like. slidably supported. Only one chamber 6 is shown in FIG. 1.
  • Detergent contained in the chambers can be supplied together with fresh water to the tub 2 via an inlet line 7 and an inlet bellows 8.
  • the fresh water starting from a network connection 9 for establishing a connection to a water supply network (not shown), initially flows via a free flow path 10 into a lid 11 arranged above the detergent dispenser 5 and having a cavity.
  • Chambers 6 are formed in the bottom wall of the nozzles 12 for essentially complete rinsing out of the detergent, in the manner known, for example, from DE-OS 36 04 674, with fresh water.
  • the tub 2 has an outlet opening 14 to which one end of a bellows-type outlet connector 15 is connected, the other end of which, as shown in FIG. 3, with a chamber 16 of an outlet pump 17 with a drive 18 receiving an impeller connected is.
  • a chamber 16 of an outlet pump 17 with a drive 18 receiving an impeller connected Via an inner drain line 19 connected on the pressure side to the drain pump 17 and an adjoining outer drain line 20, wash liquor can be pumped out of the tub 2 at the end of a wash cycle.
  • wash liquor remaining in the inner drain line 19 can flow back into the drain pipe 15 via the drain pump 17 and there a float 21 for closing the drain opening 14 against one arranged in this area Press the sealing surface.
  • the float 21 hinged like a hinge on one side adjacent to the drain opening 14 is part of a valve, designated overall by 22 in FIG. 1.
  • the float 21 is in its position shown in solid lines in FIG. 1 for closing the valve 22.
  • the float 21 assumes its position shown in broken lines in FIG. 1, in which the valve 22 is open.
  • the float 21 In order to allow the wash liquor to pass through the drain opening 14 as freely as possible in its open position, the float 21 is designed to be substantially frustoconical in shape to match the shape of the drain connector 15. In order to avoid warping of the float 21 and thereby possible leaks in the valve 22, the float 21 has an open hollow shape. The float 21 has good buoyancy properties and can be kept in its closed position after the pumping out of the wash liquor by the hydrostatic pressure of a liquid column with height 23 remaining in the inner drain line 19.
  • the valve 22 prevents, in a known manner, that detergent or the like which enters detergent dispenser 5 through detergent dispenser 5 or the like can get directly into drain pipe 15 without actively participating in the washing process.
  • the drain nozzle 15 is next to the wash liquor left in the inner drain line 19 or the like at the beginning of each washing-in of detergent. Fresh water supplied. In a simple way and without additional control effort This is made possible by the fact that leakage water accumulating on the free flow path 10 via a fresh water line 24 can be fed to a housing part 31 of the drain pump 17 opposite the drive 18 and adjacent to the pump chamber 16.
  • One of the free flow section 10 assigned area 24 'of the fresh water line 24 is formed in the exemplary embodiment as a plastic injection part arranged below an area of the cover 11, to which another area of the fresh water line 24 forming hose 24' connects. So that leakage water can flow off quickly via the fresh water line 24 to the outlet connection 15, in the area 24 'adjacent to the free flow section 24', which has a section 25 curved by a little more than 90 °, an essentially axial partition 26 is arranged. A between the partition 26 and the lower wall of the area 24 'formed first intermediate space 27 is used essentially for the forwarding of leakage water, corresponding to flow lines A.
  • the region 24 In order to allow leakage water accumulated in the fresh water line 24 to overflow, the region 24 'has an overflow opening 30 to the inlet line 7.
