  • these elastic retaining means of the shoes 12a, 12b against the teeth 9a, 9b consist of a leaf spring 13 secured to the casing 3 by any suitable means known per se such as a part 14, and which comprises two opposite ends 13a, 13b in elastic support respectively against the shoes 12a, 12b.
  • the springs 8a, 8b ensuring the tension of the cable 1 in both directions of the operation thereof, when one of the strands of the cable 1 is motor, the sheath 6 exerts on the end piece 5a or 5b corresponding an effort of compression.
  • This force is transmitted by the toothing 9a or 9b to the shoe 12a or 12b which in turn transmits it to the casing 3.
  • the end pieces 5a, 5b are driven as far as possible into their housing 7a, 7b, abutting against the bottom of this one with their respective spring 8a, 8b compressed at the maximum, with contiguous turns as illustrated on the left part of Figure 1.
  • the strand considered of the cable 1 is "soft", so that the corresponding part of the sheath 6 no longer exerts on the end piece of the compression force.
  • the spring considered (8a or 8B) can then push the end piece 5a or 5b so as to tension the cable 1.

  • the two springs 8a, 8b are compressed with contiguous turns to the maximum, as visible on the left-hand side of FIG. 2.
  • the spring concerned pushes the associated end piece by a notch, this which keeps the cable 1 taut and ensures the rigidity of the connection in the direction of compression of the sheath 6 between the end piece and its support casing 3. Therefore, when the window is pressed, it is no longer possible to lower it except by a clearance corresponding to a notch of the teeth 9a, 9b, that is to say in fact from 1 to 2 mm maximum.
  • the spring 13 could be replaced by two separate springs each acting on a shoe 12a, 12b.
