Definitions
- the invention relates to an ammunition holder according to the preamble of claim 1. Such an ammunition holder is already known.
- this ammunition with a combustible case like the ammunition with a metal case, is to be stored vertically as large as possible as standby ammunition on the loader side, for example a narrowed tower platform of a main battle tank
- the known ammunition holder with stored ammunition offers the combustible case shaft against external influences , especially against accidental bumps by the operating personnel, no protection.
- the known, swiveling clamp device in the case of multiple rows of ammunition arranged one behind the other for removing the ammunition, in particular from the rear row, only a height-restricted free space is available. The free space is therefore only available to a limited extent because the lower half of the clamp device rigidly connected to the holding lever limits the free space height after pivoting up about a tower-fixed pivot point.
- the object of the invention is to improve the ammunition holder mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that ammunition with a combustible sleeve in large numbers standing vertically against destruction of the shock-sensitive sleeve shaft by external influences, for example the operating personnel, is protected in a comparatively restricted standby area of a tower platform of a tank arranged and a problem-free removal of the ammunition from the holder in a restricted space, in particular with rows of ammunition arranged one behind the other, can be guaranteed.
- the clamp device and the protective shield attached to the holding tube also ensure optimal protection for a combustible and shock-sensitive sleeve shaft against effects from the ready room.
- the protective shield which can be rotated for the ammunition storage and ammunition removal to the rear about the longitudinal axis of the ammunition from the side facing the standby area, and the clamping device, which can be opened in a proven manner from the standby area, provide a single-row ammunition arrangement unhindered storage and removal of ammunition.
- the ammunition holder for the barrel stock of the vertical ammunition ensures optimal protection by only providing the ammunition facing the standby area with a protective shield and the ammunition stored behind it being automatically protected. Furthermore, sufficient space is still available in a confined space for trouble-free storage and removal of the ammunition by virtue of the fact that the clamp device can be pivoted about a joint at the free end of the holding arm and that the holding arm can be swiveled up together with the clamp device by another but tower-fixed joint.
- the entire ammunition holder is arranged inclined at an angle a to the tower wall, the available standby space is advantageously enlarged for the loader.
- the ammunition holder is also advantageously characterized by simple operation. While the clamp device engages and disengages automatically in the holding or latching positions when the swivel movement is manual, the protective shield can be rotated manually in front of the rear ammunition row after unlocking the protective position by means of a foot lever.
- FIG. 1 illustrates an ammunition holder 31 (FIG. 5) consisting of a clamp device 1 and a rotatable holding tube 10 for fastening an ammunition 7 stored vertically in the ready room 12 in the holding position 5.
- the ammunition 7 can be designed as a multi-purpose ammunition 36 or with a sub-caliber balancing projectile 33 and a propellant cage 34 (dash-dotted outline), the respective projectiles being connected to the front end of a propellant charge sleeve 35.
- the case base 32 of the propellant charge case 35 rests on a receiving upper part 25 (FIG.
- a holding tube 10 which can be rotated about the longitudinal axis 14 of the ammunition 7 and which centers the ammunition 7 and which protects the side 15 of the combustible case shaft 13 facing the standby space 12 with a Protective shield 11 is equipped, which covers the sleeve shaft 13 over the entire length and approximately half the circumference.
- two swing-out holding clamps 37, 38 (FIG. 3) of the clamp device 1 which are mounted on both sides of the half-shell-shaped receiving shell 47, serve to hold the ammunition 7 on the storey side in the holding position 5 in a manner known per se via a locking buckle 39 (FIG. 3) holding in a self-locking manner or being opened for storing or removing the ammunition 7 and then automatically pivoting back via return springs 40 to take the holding position 5.
- the clamp device 1 is fastened within the standby space 12 of the loader (not shown), for example on the turret of a battle tank (also not shown) and connected to the tower wall 30 on the projectile side by a holding lever 4.
- the clamp device 1 is arranged on a joint 2, which is attached to a head 3 of the holding lever opposite the tower-fixed pivot point 9, pivotally.
- the clamping device 1 For holding the ammunition 7 in a position 5.1 corresponding to the holding position 5 or for removing, in particular the ammunition 7 stored in a subsequent rear row 8 (FIG. 5), the clamping device 1 is about the joint 2 in an adjustable position 5.1 or in an adjustable locking position 6 pivotable.
- the head 3 of the holding lever 4 contains notches 17, 18 directed radially to the joint 2 at equal intervals, the notch 17 being arranged on the pivot point in such a way that the clamping device 1 can snap into the latching position 6 lying parallel to the adjacent arm 16 of the holding lever 4 and the notch 18 is arranged on the outside of the head 3 at the end of the arm 16 in such a way that the clip device 1 can snap into the position 5.1 corresponding to the holding position 5 of the ammunition 7.
- the clamping device 1 For latching into the notches 17, 18, the clamping device 1, opposite the joint 2 on two sides, contains holding devices 19, 20 which can be locked alternately in the notches 17, 18 in the plane of the longitudinal axis 14.
- the holding lever 4 is cranked and, in addition to the arm section 16, consists of an arm section 41 mounted in the pivot point 9 and a middle piece 42 connecting the arm sections 16, 41, the arm section 41 in the holding position 5 being in contact with the tower wall-side mounting 45 by its stop 44 and through a latchable pin 43 is secured.
- latching position 6 the arm section 41, which rests parallel to the bearing 45, is also held by the pin 43 and by a clamping device 46.
- the ammunition holder 31 and the holding tube 10 can be arranged in the standby space 12 such that the center axis 14 of the ammunition 7 is inclined at an angle a, preferably ⁇ 5 °, relative to a straight line 29 erected on the tower cage floor 45 on the tower wall side.
- FIG. 2 illustrates in detail the structure of the holding tube 10 which can be fastened to the tower cage wall 49 (FIG. 3) and rotates about the longitudinal axis 14.
- the holding tube 10 is connected in the upper area to the protective shield 11 in a manner not shown and in the lower area to a bearing ring 22 firmly connected by screws 58 (FIG. 4), the bearing ring 22 being rotatably mounted on the inside on a radial bearing 50 arranged between the upper receiving part 28 and a lower receiving part 21.
- the upper receiving part 28 is centered relative to the lower receiving part 21 by a bushing 51.
- grooves 23 arranged radially to the longitudinal axis 14 for engaging a foot lever 24 pivotably mounted on the lower part 21 Due to the force of a spring 52, the foot pedal 24 automatically pivotable back about the joint 53 into the grooves 23.
- the protective shield 11 can be rotated manually, preferably by 90 ° or 180 ° about the longitudinal axis 14 in the direction of the tower cage wall 49, until the rotation for the exact assumption of the end positions in not illustrated manner is limited by stops.
- the upper side 26 of the receiving lower part 21 is designed as an inclined plane in such a way that both the longitudinal axis 14 of the ammunition 7, which rests on a rubber pad 27 and on the lower part 21 which is fixed to the turret, is supported by the receiving upper part 28, as well as the central axis corresponding to the longitudinal axis 14 rotatable holding tube 10 with protective shield 11 and bearing ring 22 enlarging the free space of the standby space 12 by the angle of inclination a relative to the straight line 29.
- the holding tube 10 is fastened on both sides to the tower cage wall 49 in guides 54 and can be locked by a notch 55, which is not described in any more detail.
- Spring struts 56 which can be supported on the tower cage floor 48 (FIG. 1) support the removal of the holding tubes 10 from the guides after the catch 55 has been released manually.
- the position of the side 15 of the ammunition 7 to be protected can be changed by the location of the loader in the standby room 12.
- the protective shield 11 faces the ammunition 7 stored in the inner row in the holding position 5 (FIG. 1).
- 3 shows an ammunition holder 31 arranged in this way.
- the holder 57 of the bearing 55 is individually adapted to the circular curvature of the tower wall.

Description
- Fig. 1 in einer Seitenansicht die Munitionshalterung mit eingelagerter Munition;
- Fig. 2 in einer Schnittdarstelllung entlang der in Fig. 3 angegebenen Fläche 11-11 das Halterohr mit Schutzschild;
- Fig. 3 eine in Fig. 1 in Pfeilrichtung 3 angegebene Draufsicht der Munitionshalterung;
- Fig. 4 in einer Schnittdarstellung entlang der in Fig. 2 mit IV-IV gekennzeichneten Fläche den Lagerring des Halterohres mit Anordnung einrastbarer Nuten für den Fußhebel;
Fig. 3 zeigt eine derartig angeordnete Munitionshalterung 31.
