Description

The invention relates to an expansion hood for freight wagons and containers, which can be opened optionally as hoods or sliding walls, in which the hood parts are in the closed position in a common side wall and roof plane and are expandable in a longitudinal displacement position.

Spreading hood tops according to DE-C-923 669 are known in which the hoods are brought into the longitudinal displacement position only by spreading in the area of the lower running rail, the two hood parts being connected to one another at their upper ridge by swivel joints. This version has the disadvantage that only the entire hood with its relatively large weight can be moved with each opening process. Another disadvantage is that when loading goods from the side, especially boxes and pallets, which fill the loading width relatively precisely, when stacking on the side of the wagon opposite the loading side ramp, there is no display wall which has to be replaced by expensive loading aids.

Furthermore, according to EP-A-0 011 195 hood tops are known, in which the hood parts in the longitudinal roof sections seal against one another in the closed position and provide a spreading movement in order to achieve the longitudinal displacement position in the roof area and in the area of the lower running rails. According to this known solution, the use as a sliding wall is possible with the sole spread position of a hood part. This design has the disadvantage that the expansion of the hood parts in the ridge area and in the area of the lower rails must be articulated, which requires a large number of drive and transmission elements, which lead to a complex and fragile operating mechanism of the expansion hoods.

The aim of the invention is to provide an expansion hood which, while avoiding the disadvantages described, reduces the effort required for the expansion and creates a high level of functional reliability for use as a hood and as a sliding wall.

The object of the invention is to develop a spreading hood for freight wagons and containers which, due to the simple design of the pivotable and detachable components and their connections, does not require any drive means for the spreading and closing process in the roof area. In addition, the sliding hood operation of a hood part is intended to bring the opposite hood part into the locked state. According to the invention the object is achieved in that the spread is arranged exclusively in the area of the lower rails, and that between the hood parts a resting on the end wall and the central portal, but not connected to this ridge beam is arranged, which with the hood parts by lockable vertical guides or swivel lever is connected and has longitudinal guides in which the hood parts can be swung out and moved.

According to further embodiments of the invention, the ridge beam can always be unlocked on the hood part remaining in the closed position in sliding wall operation to trigger the spreading process. For this purpose, the ridge support has a central longitudinal guide, in which guide bodies are arranged so that they can be swung out. The longitudinal guide and the guide bodies are articulated in a lockable manner on the facing hood part, the pivot levers of the guide bodies being connected to one another by a load-bearing profile and on the longitudinal guide a cover projecting beyond the free space between the hood parts and sealing over labyrinths is arranged. A further embodiment is that lever arms are assigned to the ridge carrier, which can be pivoted out and locked in longitudinal guides and transverse guides of the hood parts via guide bodies and that the ridge carrier can be supported to the hood parts. In the upper area, each hood part is assigned a locking rod, which extends over the length of the hood part and can be axially displaced in guides against a spring and to which the bolts for the pivoting levers or lever arms are assigned. The locking rods can each be moved selectively by means of a pivotable control lever with a pin arranged on the end wall, the pin engaging in the guide of the hood part and the pushed-out locking rod in receptacles of the center portal.

As can be seen from the drawing in Fig. 1, the expansion hood cover consists of hoods 1, which are formed by two hood parts 2 and 2 'and a ridge carrier 3 and by pivotable rails 5 arranged in the base frame 4 between a closed position 6 and a spread position 7, the one Longitudinal displacement of the hoods 1 allows are movable. The ridge beam 3 rests on the end wall 8 and a central portal 9 and is held there in a form-fitting manner. For sliding wall operation, the hood parts 2 and 2 'according to FIGS. 2 and 3 are pivotally or vertically displaceably connected to the ridge carrier 3. For this spreading state, only a running rail 5 or a hood part 2 is pivoted out, whereas the opposite hood part 2 'remains connected to the end wall 8 and the central portal 9. The ridge carrier 3 can always be unlocked on the hood part 2 'which remains in the closed position. 4 and 7, a central longitudinal guide 10 is arranged on the ridge support 3, in which guide body 11, for example, rollers or sliders are guided in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are arranged to be pivoted out. In Fig. 4, the guide body 11 and the longitudinal guide 10 are articulated via pivot lever 12 on the facing hood part 2 and 2 '. The pivot lever 12 of the guide body 11 are connected by a supporting profile 13. The supporting profile 13 is connected to a cover 14 which seals the free space between the hood parts 2 and 2 'via labyrinths 15. Latches 16 allow the pivoting levers 12 to be optionally blocked. In FIG. 7, the pivoting levers 12 are replaced by a shear lever 17 with roller 18 and compensating spring 19 according to a further embodiment. 5 and 6, the ridge support 3 is formed by a hollow profile, on which fixed lever arms 20, which carry the guide bodies 11 at their ends, are arranged. In this solution, two longitudinal guides 10 are used, which are assigned to the hood parts 2 and 2 '. The swivel range is released for the sliding wall operation by the bolt 16. 6, in the closed position in the region of the lever arms 18, the longitudinal guide 10 is interrupted by transverse guides 21 and supports 22 are arranged, by means of which the ridge carrier 3 is supported on the unlocking side in the upper region of the hood parts 2 and 2 '. 9 are arranged in the hood parts 2 and 2 'extending over the length of the hood parts in guides 23 against a spring 24 axially displaceable locking rods 25 to which the bolts 16 are assigned. The locking rods 25 can be moved via a control lever 26 arranged on the end wall 8 with a pin 27 and a pin joint 28, the pin 27 optionally engaging in the guide 23 of the hood part 2 or 2 ', thereby displacing the locking rod 25 into a receptacle 29 of the center portal 9 and thus the hood part 2 or 2 'to the end wall 8 and the central portal 9 is blocked. In this process, the bolts 15 on the blocked hood part 2 or 2 'are released at the same time. During the spreading process of the hood 1, only the running rails 5 are moved from the closed position 6 into the spreading position 7 by a drive (not shown in more detail). In the example of FIGS. 4 and 7, the longitudinal guide 10 forms the upper expansion joint with the guide body. The expansion joint forms a three-joint together with the running rails and thus ensures the transverse stability of the hood 1. In FIG. 5, the bolts 16 simultaneously take on the function of a stop for ensuring the transverse stability. 6, the transverse stability is ensured by the play limitation of the guide bodies 11 and supports 22. In sliding wall operation, the half-hood part 2 or 2 'remaining in the closed state is first blocked via the control lever 26. The actuation of the control lever 26 is expediently coupled with a separation of the drive of the running rails 5.

4 and 6, the spreading position 7 for sliding wall operation is shown, in which the hood part 2 can be moved via the longitudinal guide 5 and the guide body 11. Stops (not shown) on the longitudinal guide 10 and rollers at the break points of the hood contour ensure the guidance of the opened hood part 2.

By means of the solution according to the invention, an expansion hood roof is created which, with little effort for the expansion and high functional reliability, enables use as a hood and as a sliding wall.
