Definitions

  • the invention relates to a thin fixing fleece which can be used for textile filler nonwoven laminates and which has a protruding thermoplastic adhesive composition protruding from the top and bottom and a method for producing such laminates using this fixing fleece.
  • Filling nonwovens have so far been predominantly sewn into textile clothing fabrics. Although it is possible to use flat, well-set filler nonwovens that have a relatively smooth surface in a conventional manner, e.g. to print with a hot-melt adhesive dispersion in a punctiform manner and thus make it heat-fixable. However, these filler nonwovens are for the vast majority of applications in the clothing sector, e.g. in combination with poplin, unsuitable because they look too stiff and untextile.
  • Light-weight, voluminous and very soft filler nonwovens can be made non-heat-fixable using the conventional methods: They cannot be coated using the rotary screen printing method or the powder dot method. Scattering powder trickles into or through it, hardens the handle and reduces the volume irregularly when heat setting.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to develop a fixing nonwoven whose use avoids the aforementioned disadvantages and which is suitable for producing a textile filler nonwoven laminate which remains supple, soft and textile in the handle, the surface of which remains even after repeated washing and dry cleaning is smooth, the fiber properties are only low and the volume is largely retained even after repeated care treatment.
  • DE-A-4 11 129 discloses the production of a nonwoven, a binder being applied locally to the nonwoven by means of a nozzle spraying process, preferably in patterns, in such a way that it penetrates its entire cross-section.
  • the binder alone has the task of structurally reinforcing a nonwoven fabric on the surface and inside, and since the binder pattern on the surfaces must not be clearly visible in order to have as little negative impact as possible on the fluffy overall structure of the nonwoven, this nonwoven is to be used as a fixing insert unsuitable, since the adhesive properties on the surface are decisive for the latter.
  • a variation of the same idea as in the abovementioned application is DE-A-24 61 869, where a bonded nonwoven fabric is described which is bound by intermittently spaced-apart print pattern binder areas which essentially extend from a surface of the fiber layer to other surface.
  • the binder is applied as a suspension using the gravure printing process and also has the task of deviating from the present invention of strengthening a nonwoven fabric in such a way that it is suitable for cleaning and wiping purposes. Use as a fixing fleece is therefore not possible.
  • thermoplastic adhesive for the fixing fleece according to the invention is any water-dispersible hot melt adhesive, such as copolyamide, copolyester, low-pressure polyethylene or polyurethane. It only has to be ensured that the dispersion can be processed by spraying or printing processes in such a way that it penetrates the entire cross-section of the fixing nonwoven and forms clearly raised patterns on its two surfaces. These patterns preferably consist of dots, which are distributed in rows in a grid of 11 to 30 mesh or randomly with 20 to 75 dots / cm 2 . In any case, the adhesive should be present in an amount of 7 to 22 g / m 2 (calculated dry).
  • Particularly suitable fixing nonwovens according to the present invention should have a fall coefficient (according to DIN 54 306) of less than 25%. All lightweight nonwovens of 7 to 20 g / m 2 are suitable which have been produced in a known manner by wet or dry processes.
  • the fixing nonwovens according to the invention also offer the advantage that their manufacturing process can be incorporated directly into a continuous process for manufacturing textile filler laminates.
  • a fixing fleece corresponding to claims 1 to 4 is produced, in which it is applied in a spray or rotary printing process in a pattern-like manner with hot-melt adhesive dispersion, which penetrates its entire cross-section and is raised on both surfaces.
  • the nonwoven web is dried in a sintering channel and the adhesive is sintered.
  • the outer fabric or the filling fleece is fed in from above and below.
  • all three webs pass through a heated press or belt calender and are laminated together to form a three-layer laminate.
  • a thermally slightly pre-consolidated nonwoven fabric of 9 g / m 2 which consists of polyester fibers and has a fall coefficient (DIN 54 3D6) of 17%, is rotated using the 37.4; % aqueous dispersion of copolyamides printed in dots.
  • a printing template is used, which contains 52 holes per cm 2 in a random arrangement.
  • 11 g of adhesive per m 2 are applied in such a way that the dots are pressed through the thin fleece and protrude from the surfaces to such an extent that a fixing process can take place on both sides.
  • the printed part of the dots is flattened somewhat.
  • the printed laminating fleece is passed through a sintering section, where it is kept floating by a tenter and with the help of lower and upper air.
  • an upper fabric and a filling nonwoven fabric are fed into the laminating nonwoven from above.
  • the three webs pass through a heated press and are joined to form a three-layer laminate.
  • the steel roller of the steel silicone roller press works at a temperature of 155 ; C, the pressure is 7 kp / cm, and the press is set to a gap of 2 mm.
  • the outer fabric is a hydrophobic cotton-polyester poplin with a width of 1.50 m. Their weight per unit area is 160 g per linear meter.
  • a binder-strengthened polyester fleece of 55 g / m 2 , a thickness (DIN 53 855) of 7.17 mm and a density of 7.67 kg / m 3 is used as the filler nonwoven.
  • the laminate After leaving the press, the goods are rolled up with the help of a center winder.
  • the laminate has the advantageous properties which were shown in the description under a) to e).
