Abstract
Slack-rope safety device for monitoring the tensile load of a rope assembly for the raising, holding and controlled lowering of a door leaf guided so as to be movable at least with a vertical direction component, especially up-and-over door, swing-up door, articulated ceiling door, having a housing part (12), on which a rope (5) of the rope assembly is held and which has an electrical switch (13) and a spring (10) which is prestressed when the rope (5) is tautened under tensile load and which, when the rope (5) becomes slack, triggers the actuation of the switch (13). To prevent the transmission of the working forces of the rope (5), the slack-rope safety device is so designed that the rope (5) is guided through the housing part, and that the housing part (2) has a feeler member (8) which is mounted so as to be shiftable approximately perpendicularly to the run of the rope (5) tautened under tensile load, is pressed under the force of the spring (10) against the rope tautened under tensile load and has a switch-actuating part (17) which, when the rope (5) becomes slack and is thereby deflected laterally, is shifted into the switch-actuating position under the force of the spring (10). <IMAGE>
