Abstract
一种气袋(10),该气袋在折叠状态下成弓形安装在车辆中的固定位置(20,22)之间,并且该气袋充气时在纵向方向上缩短,因而用最短的路线桥接固定位置(20,22),该气袋包括至少一个元件(12,50),该元件(12,50)在充气条件下相对于纵向方向基本上沿横向压缩该气袋。
Description
本发明涉及一种气袋,该气袋在折叠状态下应成弓形安装在车辆中的固定位置之间,并且该气袋充气时,在纵向方向上缩短,因而用最短路线桥接这些固定位置。
从WO94/19215中已经知道了一种这样的气袋作为一种侧面碰撞保护装置的部件。这种头部气袋具有软管形的构型,并且利用它的两个侧端固定到A支柱和B支柱上。折叠状态下,该气袋在盖下面沿着A支柱经过顶部框架向上延伸到B支柱,以便它大体上成弓形安装在车辆中。该气袋由专用的纤维制品构成,该纤维制品在气袋充气时使原有长度显著缩短。在伸展时,该气袋打开盖并几乎成直线地从一个固定端延伸到对置的另一端。
在碰撞乘车者的头部时,该已知气袋不受侧面车窗支承,在任何情况下,该侧面车窗通常都是由于侧面碰撞而不是由于其两侧端之间产生的张力而遭到破坏的。
然而,该专用纤维制品使得该已知气袋价格比较贵。除此之外,用这种纤维制品在充气时只能使该气袋沿纵向方向有限地缩短。
因此,本发明的目的是形成一种在充气时沿其纵向方向显著缩短的,成本效益高而构型简单的气袋。
对于如开始所述的一种气袋,这一目的是通过使该气袋包括至少一个元件来达到的,在充气条件下,该元件相对于纵向方向基本上沿横向压缩气袋。由于有这种压缩元件,所以在充气条件下该气袋的外壳几乎强烈地膨胀起来,从而减小了以前成弓形安装的气袋的总长度,并且该气袋在固定点之间被直线式地拉紧,尤其是当应用几个压缩元件时更是如此。
压缩元件可以是如一种分开的纤维制品部件,该分开的纤维制品部件被固定到气袋上或一个专门编织的袋壁部分上。
按照一个优选实施例,该气袋具有一个软管式构型,当该压缩元件成环形围绕着气袋时,这种构型特别有利。因为不打算让该压缩元件将气袋内部的流动截面压缩到使气袋充气所需时间大大增中的程度,所以该压缩元件最好将该软管式气袋的直径减少到约三分之一。
除此之外,还可以用一种气袋纤维制品,该纤维制品的编织方法是与该气袋的纵向延长线成45°取向。这种气袋纤维制品造成充气时该气袋沿纵向方向缩短。由于一种象这样的气袋纤维制品和压缩元件的组合,可以使该气袋特别强烈地缩短。
按照本发明的气袋可适用于侧面碰撞保护装置,利用其对置的两侧端将气袋固定到车辆的顶部框架和A支柱上,并且使气袋在其折叠状态下在一盖的下面沿着该顶部框架和A支柱取向。
按照本发明的气袋还可作为一种膝部保护装置用,但是在该装置中,该气袋构成一种在乘车者的膝部范围内对他具有约束作用的拉力带。在这种配置中,该气袋最好固定在车辆的脚坑中。

图1为作为一种侧面碰撞保护装置的部件在充气条件下按照本发明的气袋第一实施例的示意侧视图;

图3示出按照本发明的气袋的第二实施例,该气袋具有软垫形构型。
在图1中示出一种侧面碰撞保护装置,该装置包括一个气体发生器26和一个软管式气袋10。该气袋10通过其两个侧端一方面固定到A支柱40的下端,另一方面固定到一部车辆的B支柱区内的顶部框架42上。分别用22和20表示合适的固定位置。气体发生器26同时连接到该支柱40上,该气体发生器26穿过气袋10中的一个气体注入口24伸进气袋内部。
在其未充气状态下,该气袋10隐藏在如图2中所看到的调整盖28的下面,因而正如在图1中由点划线所表明的,该气袋10从固定位置22沿着A支柱40和顶部框架42向上延伸到B支柱后面的固定位置20。
将折叠起来的气袋10安置在调整盖28的后面是利用一个塑料套44进行的,该塑料套具有一个对着侧面车窗46的开口的纵向端。该气袋10包括几个规则间隔的缩颈,它们是由围绕该气袋10的环形元件12形成的。元件12由具有尽可能低的膨胀系数的纤维带组成,所述纤维带固定到气袋10的壁上。此外,元件12也可用塑料制成,或编织成气袋壁。而且,元件12部分中的一个壁部分10也可以专门编织,使得在充气条件下它能在这部分不收缩气袋的全部直径D,而是收缩成一个减小的直径d,该直径d约为未收缩部分最大直径D的三分之一。
由一种纺织品组成的袋壁的编织方向与该气袋10的纵向方向成45°取向,因此在充气时促进该气袋10沿纵向方向和元件12一起缩短。
在侧面碰撞的情况下,由气体发生器26所产生的气体流入气袋10的内部。该气袋10沿纵向方向如此缩短,使得用尽可能短的路线桥接固定位置20、22。然后随元件12的间隔,而在各个元件12之间产生球形或圆筒形区段。
元件12不必安排成很规则的间隔,而是它们应适合于固定位置20、22和气体发生器装置,以及适合相对于该气袋部位的座位位置。也可用不同的元件12,这些元件12在各点处收缩气袋10的程度不同,由此,虽然在固定位置20、22处可提供例如较强的收缩,但在乘车者的头部区域却提供一个不太强的收缩。图1中所示的气袋10不要求支承用的侧面车窗,因为它在固定位置20和22之间的纵向方向上被拉紧。
在图3所示的实施例中,气袋10不是具有软管状的构型,而是具有软垫形的构型。在充气条件下,该气袋10从A支柱40的下端向上延伸至B支柱,而在未充气状态下,它隐藏在盖28的下面,因此,它也成弓形安装在车辆中。但是,与图1中所示的实施例相反,设置了比两个固定点20、22更多的固定点。在气袋10伸展时,由于限定压缩元件50的线和被编织成气袋壁,所以该气袋主要在其下面边缘部分强烈缩短,以致该气袋10从它的固定处冲开盖28并用最短路线桥接最外面的固定位置20、22。图1和2中所示的实施例与图3中所示的实施例之间另一个差别在于,该压缩元件50按照图3不是环形地围绕软垫形气袋10,而它仅仅是压缩该气袋的下面边缘部分。
这两种实施例的共同点是,压缩元件12、50相对于该气袋10的纵向方向基本上沿横向延伸。
另外,元件12、50也可做成象固定到顶部框架42上的带或软线那样的构型,这些元件压缩气袋10下面的边缘部分。但该实施例安装更复杂。
Claims (12)
1.一种气袋,该气袋在折叠状态下成弓形安装在车辆中固定位置(20,22)之间,并且该气袋充气时在纵向方向上缩短,因而用最短路线桥接固定位置(20,22),其特征在于,该气袋包括至少一个元件(12,50),该元件(12,50)在充气条件下相对于纵向方向基本上沿横向压缩该气袋。
2.如权利要求1中所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述压缩元件(12,50)做成带或软线的形式。
3.如权利要求1或2中所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述压缩元件(12,50)或环状围绕所述气袋(10)。
4.如前述权利要求中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述压缩元件(50)是一种专门编织的袋壁区段,或被编织成气袋壁。
5.如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述压缩元件(12)被固定到所述气袋(10)的壁上。
6.如前述权利要求中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述压缩元件(50)用塑料或纤维材料制成。
7.如前述权利要求中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述气袋(10)做成软管状。
8.如权利要求7中所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述压缩元件(12)将所述软管式气袋(10)的直径(D)减小到约三分之一。
9.如前述权利要求中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,气袋壁由纺织品组成,并且该气袋壁的编织方向与所述气袋(10)的纵向方向成45°取向。
10.如前述权利要求中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,在其一个侧端处设置一个气体注入口(24),用于连接一个气体发生器(26)。
11.如前述权利要求中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述气袋(10)是一种侧面碰撞保护装置的部件,该气袋利用它的两个对置纵向端固定到一辆车上,一方面固定到顶部框架(42)上,而另一方面固定到A支柱(40)上,并且在折叠状态下在一个盖(28)的下面沿着所述顶部框架(42)取向。
12.如权利要求1至10中任一项所述的气袋,其特征在于,所述气袋(10)是一种膝部保护装置的部件,并被固定在车辆中前面坐着的乘车者的脚坑中。
