车灯组件
技术领域
本发明涉及车灯组件和车灯组件的制造方法,其中前灯玻璃和灯体是直接结合在一起的。
背景技术
一般的,已经公知有两种类型的方法来将车灯的前灯玻璃和灯体结合起来,也就是,经过密封元件(例如,热熔密封方法)的非直接结合,和通过将两个元件抵靠在一起的(例如,加热板焊接,振动焊接,超声焊接等等)直接结合。
作为一种直接结合的方法,激光束焊接在其他技术领域中是公知的。通过以下描述的操作(参见共同转让的美国专利申请09/548,361)可以将该方法应用与前灯玻璃和灯体的结合上。
参照图7,沿着前灯玻璃2的外周形成了在朝外的方向上延伸的密封脚2a。沿着灯体4的前端的开口部分形成有接收表面4a。灯体4放置在接收架102上。将前灯玻璃2以下述方式设置在灯体4上,即使得密封脚2a的端表面2b抵靠在接收表面4a上。前灯玻璃2还有透明的压板104覆盖,通过该压板104前灯玻璃2被压到灯体4上。在上述状态下,将激光束L从前灯玻璃2的上方位置处透过透明压板104和密封脚2a照射在接收表面4a上。结果,接收表面4a被激光束L的辐射能量加热并熔化,从而与密封脚2a的已经被热量熔化的端表面2b融合。由此通过将激光束L沿密封脚2a在前灯玻璃2的整个长度上扫描而将前灯玻璃2和灯体4结合在一起。
采用上述激光束焊接的方法可以使得前灯玻璃2和灯体4的结合并在各自的被结合表面上不带有焊疤,由此使绕接合表面外周部分的区域的外观质量提高。但是,使用该焊接方法将造成下述缺点。
也就是,为了通过激光束焊接可靠地将前灯玻璃2和灯体4结合在一起,首先需要通过将前灯玻璃2压向灯体而使得密封脚2a的端表面2b在接合表面的整个长度上抵靠在灯体4的接合表面4a上。但是,如果密封脚2a的边缘表面2b或接收表面4a因不够平滑而具有波浪形不规则外形,则在两者之间的区域中会产生间隙,而且即使在施加压力的情况下也是如此,则会造成结合失败。
在前灯玻璃2和灯体4之间的被结合表面的结合宽度由照射到灯体4的接合表面4a上的激光束L的光点直径所决定。理想的是,可以将光束点的直径设置为相对较大的值,从而增加结合强度。由于激光束L是透过密封脚2a照射到接收表面4a上的,光束点直径的尺寸受到密封脚2a宽度的限制。
发明内容
本发明是着眼于上述方面开发的。因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种车灯组件,以及一种制造车灯组件的方法,其中前灯玻璃和灯体被直接结合在一起,以提高围绕被结合表面的周边部的外观质量,避免在前灯玻璃和灯体之间的结合失败,并且提高其间的结合强度。
上述目的是这样实现的,即通过采用激光束焊接方法作为将前灯玻璃和灯体结合在一起的方法,并且通过适当地设计被结合表面的周边部的结构来实现。
本发明的车灯组件包括直接结合在一起的前灯玻璃和灯体,其中,在所述前灯玻璃的外周形成有密封脚,而与密封脚的端表面发生抵靠的接收表面在灯体上形成,密封脚的端表面和接收表面通过激光束焊接直接结合在一起,并且被结合表面相对于与车灯组件的参考轴线相垂直的平面以预定的角度倾斜。
“激光束焊接”是指一种结合方法,其中允许激光束透过的可透激光束构件抵靠在不允许激光束透过的不透激光束的构件上,两个构件大致在参考轴线的方向上被压在一起,并且激光束透过可透激光束构件而照射在两个构件的抵靠表面上,从而加热不透激光束构件。结果,两个构件被融合到一起。对用于激光束焊接的激光束是没有具体的限制,例如,可以采用半导体激光器,YAG激光器等等。
对于制造灯体的材料没有特别的限制,只要其不透过激光束,并且可被激光束辐射加热即可。为了实现有效的激光束焊接,优选的是,由添加有诸如碳黑的附加材料的黑色材料来加工灯体,以提高灯体吸收激光束的能力。
而且,对于制造前灯玻璃的材料也没有特别的限制,只要其允许可见光和激光束透过,并且其可以熔化并且固定到已经被熔融的灯体上。
对于被结合表面的倾斜角度的数值没有特别的限制,只要该表面相对于与车灯组件的参考轴线垂直的平面倾斜即可。被结合表面的倾斜方向可以向前灯玻璃的内部倾斜,也可以向前灯玻璃的外部倾斜。被结合表面还可以形成V形或W形。
根据本发明的车灯组件的结构中,前灯玻璃和灯体被直接结合在一起。直接结合是通过激光束焊接工艺完成的,并且被结合表面是密封脚的沿前灯玻璃的外周形成的边缘表面和在灯体上形成的接收表面。这使得在各个被结合表面上不产生焊疤,由此提高了被结合表面的外观质量。
另外,根据本发明的车灯组件因被结合表面相对于与参考轴线相垂直的平面以预定的角度倾斜而提供了下述操作效果。
即,在因不够平滑而具有波浪形不规则形状的密封脚的边缘表面和接收表面之间产生间隙的情况下,因被结合表面是倾斜的,作用在需要结合的构件上的压力引起了构件之间的滑动。该滑动可以将于两个构件间的区域中产生的间隙封住,从而实现两者在结合表面整个长度上的抵靠。因此,避免了结合失效。
在前灯玻璃和灯体之间的被结合表面的结合宽度是由照射到灯体的接收表面上的激光束的光束点直径决定的。由于被结合表面相对于与车灯组件的参考轴线相垂直的平面以预定角度倾斜,光束点直径增加与倾斜角度相对应的量。结果,被结合表面的结合宽度增加,由此有助于将结合强度提高到一个与增加的宽度相对应的量。
根据本发明的具有直接被结合在一起的前灯玻璃和灯体组件的车灯组件避免了在上述两构件间的结合失败,并且在提高了围绕被结合表面的部分的外观质量的同时还提高了结合强度。
假定在前述结构中,如果灯体的接收表面还具有沿着前灯玻璃密封脚的边缘锐角部分侧上的一侧表面大致在车灯的参考轴线的方向凸出的多个肋,在所述肋和每个密封脚之间的抵靠避免了因施加在前灯玻璃和灯体之间的压力而在边缘表面和接收表面之间引起的没有必要的过量的滑动。另外,照射在灯体的接收表面上的激光束的一部分从密封脚的边缘表面内部反射。该内部反射光指向并投射在肋的侧表面上,从而对肋加热并使其熔化,这使得肋的侧表面和密封脚的边缘锐角部分侧的侧表面构成了第二被结合表面。这进一步提高了前灯玻璃和灯体之间的结合强度。
假定在前述结构中,如果结合表面相对于与车灯组件的参考轴线垂直的平面倾斜的预定角度在40°至50°的范围内,则不但所施加的压力可以很容易地在密封脚的边缘表面和接收表面之间产生滑动,而且还可以放大被结合表面的结合宽度。而且,形成在灯体上的肋使得从密封脚的边缘表面内部反射的激光束有效地投射到肋的大致处于竖直方向的侧表面上。这提高了在肋的侧表面和密封脚的边缘锐角部分的一侧的侧表面之间的结合强度。

具体实施方式
下面将参照附图详细描述本发明的优选实施例。
图1是本发明优选实施例的车灯的侧视剖面图,该实施例被顶部朝上地放置。图2是详细地示出图1的部分II的视图。
优选实施例的车灯组件10的形式是诸如尾灯的指示灯。灯具有灯体14和直接结合在灯体14上的前灯玻璃16,在灯体14的灯参考轴线Ax上安装有竖直(在相对于灯体组件的纵向方向)延伸的光源灯泡12,前灯玻璃16直接结合在灯体14上。
前灯玻璃16由诸如PMMA或PC的透明热塑树脂材料制成。前灯玻璃16的外周设置有在整个长度上向下凸出的密封脚16a。密封脚16a的形成方式是在参考轴线的方向(即在附图的竖直方向上)延伸。其边缘表面(下端表面)16相对于垂直参考轴线的平面(水平面)向内倾斜45°。
灯体14是由诸如AAS或ABS的不透明热塑树脂材料制成。灯体14设置有在其前端开口处竖直延伸的外边凸缘部14a。与密封脚16a的边缘表面16b类似,外边凸缘部分14a的端表面(上端表面)14b在与密封脚16a的边缘表面16b的相同的一侧相对于竖直轴线形成倾斜45°的平面。底部表面14b构成了接收表面,而密封脚16a的边缘表面16b就抵靠在该接收表面上。接收表面14b具有外部肋14c,该外部肋沿着密封脚16a的内侧表面16c竖直地凸出。
通过将密封脚16a的边缘表面16b激光束焊接到接收表面14b上而将前灯玻璃16结合到灯体14上。
图3是示出了车灯10和用于激光束焊接的焊接机器人110的透视图。
参照该附图,在车灯组件10顶部朝上地放置时通过焊接机器人110来完成激光束焊接。
焊接机器人110形成有机器人基体(未示出),激光头112就安装在该基体上。激光头112具有包含光纤的纤维光缆114和带有内装的电容器透镜的发射头116。由激光发生器(未示出)产生的激光束通过纤维光缆114作为会聚光束从发射头116发射出。从发射头116发生的激光束用来在大约60毫米焦距处形成直径大约为1.5毫米的光束点。激光发生器是由输出为15至100W、波长为0.81μm至1.5μm的半导体激光器形成的。
激光束焊接是以下述方式实现的。
正如图2所示,灯体14放置在接收架102上,前灯玻璃16被设置在灯体16上,使得密封脚16a的边缘表面16b与接收表面14b发生抵靠。前灯玻璃16还被压板104所覆盖,从而以压板104将前灯玻璃2朝向灯体14压下。
激光头112定位在前灯玻璃16的密封脚16a的上方,从而将来自发射头116的激光束L向下引导。激光束L被照射在密封脚16a的基端部16d上,从而穿透密封脚16a并照射在灯体14的接收表面14b上。接收表面14b被激光束L辐射的能量加热并熔化。由此产生的热量还熔化了密封脚16a的边缘表面16b。激光束L沿着密封脚16a在前灯玻璃16的整个长度上进行扫描,从而将前灯玻璃16和灯体14结合在一起。
如上所述,优选实施例的灯体10中,前灯玻璃16和灯体14通过施加在被结合表面,也就是前灯玻璃16的密封脚16a的边缘表面16b和灯体14的接收表面14b,之间的激光束焊接而直接结合在一起。这能够实现在两个接合表面中的任何一个表面上都不产生焊疤的结合。围绕被结合表面的部分的外观质量由此得到提高。
另外,由于在前灯玻璃16和灯体14之间的被结合表面相对于水平面(垂直于车灯组件的参考轴线的平面)以一定角度倾斜,根据本实施例的车灯组件10可提供以下的操作效果。
即使在密封脚16a的边缘表面16b或接收表面14b因不够平滑而具有波形的不规则形状以致在其间产生间隙的情况下,由于被结合表面是倾斜的,作用在被结合的表面上的压力会引起被结合表面之间的滑动。该滑动用于封闭在两个元件之间的区域中产生的间隙,从而使得它们沿被结合表面的整个长度靠紧。因此,避免了结合失败。
在前灯玻璃16和灯体14之间的被结合表面的结合宽度是由投射在灯体14的接收表面14b上的激光束L的光束点直径决定的。由于被结合表面相对于水平面以预定的角度倾斜,光束点直径增加与倾斜角度相对应的量。这增加了结合表面的结合宽度,并将结合强度增加了一个与增加的宽度相对应的量。
在前灯玻璃和灯体直接结合在一起的优选实施例的车灯组件中,在改进了绕被结合表面的外周部分的外观质量的同时,避免了前灯玻璃和灯体间的结合失败,提高了结合强度。
在上述实施例中,由于在灯体14的接收表面14b上沿着前灯玻璃16的密封脚16a的内侧表面16c(在边缘锐角部分侧的一个侧表面)于参考轴线方向凸出有内部肋14c,则内部肋14c对密封脚16a的抵靠避免因为在参考轴线方向上作用的压力而于密封脚16a的边缘表面16b和接收表面14b之间产生过量的滑动。另外,照射到灯体14的接收表面14b上的激光束的一部分从密封脚16a的边缘表面16b内部反射。该内部反射光指向内部肋14c的外侧表面14d,从而加热并熔化内部肋14c。结果,内部肋14c的外侧表面14d和密封脚16a的内部表面16c构成了第二被结合表面。这提高了前灯玻璃16和灯体14之间的结合强度。
特别是,由于被结合表面的相对于水平面的倾斜角度被设置为45°,不但作用在参考轴线方向的压力能够很容易地在密封脚16a的边缘表面16b和接收表面14b之间产生滑动,而且在被结合表面的结合宽度上也有显著的提高。而且,内部肋14c的设置使得从密封脚16a的边缘表面16b而被内部地反射的激光束有效地投射在内部肋的基本处于竖直方向的外侧表面14d上。这提高了在内部肋14c的外侧表面14d和密封脚16a的内侧表面16c之间的结合强度。
图4是与图2类似的视图,示出了所述实施例的第一改进实例。
在该改进实例中,与前述的实施例类似,前灯玻璃16的密封脚16a的边缘表面16b相对于水平面以45°角倾斜,如附图所示。但是在该实例中,边缘表面16b朝向外周倾斜。而且,灯体14的接收表面14b在与密封脚16a的边缘表面16b的同一侧上作为相对于竖直方向以45°角倾斜的平面形成。在参考轴线的方向上沿着前灯玻璃16的密封脚16a的外侧表面16f凸出附加的外部肋14e在灯体14的接收表面14b上形成。
前述的结构提供了可以从第一实施例获得的同样的操作效果。
图5是类似于图2的视图,示出了优选实施例的第二改进实例。
参照图5,改进实例的基本结构与前述第一改进实例的结构大致相同。但在第二改进实例中,具有凹入的、类似弧形部的引槽形成在灯体14的接收表面14b上。
接收表面14b形成为弯曲形状,从而通过在结合工作的早期减少在密封脚16a的边缘表面16b和接收表面14b之间的接触表面来聚拢激光束L的辐射能量。随着接收表面14b的加热和熔化的进行,接触部分逐渐膨胀。结果,结果提高了结合过程的有效性。当激光束焊接操作完成时,类似于前述实施例,结合表面以倾斜表面的形式形成。
在改进实例中,引槽可以在密封脚16a的边缘表面16b上形成,而不是在接收表面14b上形成。该结构可提供与前述实施例相同的效果。
图6是类似于图2的视图,示出了优选实施例的第三改进实例。
在该改进实例中,在前灯玻璃16和灯体14之间的被结合表面形成为V形,正如附图所示。在改进实施例中,前灯玻璃16的密封脚16a的边缘表面16b形成为三角形凸出表面,其两侧相对于水平面以45°升起。灯体14的接收表面14b形成为三角形凹入表面,其两侧沿着边缘表面16b的外形相对于水平面以45°角升起。
根据如上所述结构的被结合表面,与前面所述的实施例类似,照射到灯体14的接收表面14b上的激光束L的光束点直径可以增加与倾斜角度相对应的量。这能够使被结合表面的宽度增加,从而提高结合强度。
而且,该改进实例并不要求在灯体14的接收表面14b上形成内部或外部肋。但是,从前灯玻璃16的密封脚16a和灯体14的周边凸缘部分14a两者的厚度的宽度的空间可以得到与前述实施例相同的操作效果。
以上以制成指示灯形式的车灯组件10为例对各种实施例进行了描述。但是,通过将前述实施例的教导应用在其它类型的车灯组件上可以获得与前述实施例类似的效果。

Claims (6)

1.一种车灯组件,包括:前灯玻璃和灯体,所述前灯玻璃包括沿所述前灯玻璃的外周形成的密封脚,所述灯体包括接收表面,所述密封脚的端表面抵靠着所述接收表面,所述密封脚的所述端表面与所述接收表面通过激光束焊接直接结合在一起,并且所述被结合表面相对于与所述车灯组件的参考轴线相垂直的平面以预定的角度倾斜。
2.根据权利要求1所述的车灯组件,其特征在于所述灯体还包括在所述接收表面上形成的多个肋,所述肋沿着于所述密封脚的锐角端部侧的侧表面在所述车灯组件的所述参考轴线的方向上凸出。
3.根据权利要求1所述的车灯组件,其特征在于所述倾斜的预定角度在40°至50°的范围内。
4.根据权利要求2所述的车灯组件,其特征在于所述倾斜的预定角度在40°至50°的范围内。
5.根据权利要求1所述的车灯组件,其特征在于所述接收表面的至少一部分是凸出地弯曲的。
6.根据权利要求5所述的车灯组件,其特征在于还包括沿着所述密封脚的外侧表面在所述参考轴线的方向上从所述接收表面凸伸出的外部肋。
