Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及椅子,特别是涉及把椅子部件紧固在一起的方法和机制。
背景技术
椅子是通过把多个部件彼此紧固在一起而形成的。附接在一起的椅子部件的例子可从美国专利第7,419,222、6,957,863、6,913,315、6,817,667、6,802,566、6,726,285、6,669,292、6,439,665、5,035,466和3,233,885号中看到。
能够使用各种附接椅子部件的方法来组装椅子。通常,使用例如是螺栓或螺钉或者胶水或其他胶粘剂的紧固件把椅子部件连接至椅子。然而,这些紧固机制可能经常包括在制造上想避免的限制。例如,比起应用焊接或胶水,以螺栓来紧固部件需要以较慢的速度进行紧固或使用较昂贵的制造方法。在另一例子中,焊接金属部件可能导致高的部件损坏率,或者需要焊工直接存取要焊接的部件。
其他紧固机制可能需要使用到被***形成于部件中的槽或沟中的架件或托架件。例如,美国专利第6,386,634和6,540,950号公开了这种紧固机制,其经常被用于网状织物的背和椅座的部件。这种紧固机制需要专门的制造工具,还需要在某些公差范围以内模制的外加部件,以把不同的部件连接在一起。例如,部件(例如背架或椅座架)的沟或槽的尺寸必须能容纳被附接至网状皮的托架件。这些要求增加了椅子的制造成本,并且在某些情况下可能使组装这些部件变得复杂。
我们需要能在不减损椅子或椅子设计的理想美感效果之下把椅子部件紧固在一起的紧固方法或紧固***。优选地,所述***或方法能允许部件之间的接合而无需使用例如是螺栓或螺钉或者是能***架件上的沟或槽内的架件的紧固件来连接部件。
发明内容
本发明提供了组装椅子部件的方法。所述方法包括提供由第一聚合材料组成的第一椅子部件以及由第二聚合材料组成的第二椅子部件。胶粘剂被放置在第一椅子部件上或之内。胶粘剂由第三聚合材料和至少一个磁感受体组成。第二椅子部件被放置成与胶粘剂接合并邻近第一椅子部件。施加磁场或电磁波于胶粘剂以激活该胶粘剂。也向第一和第二椅子部件至少其中之一施加力以压紧第一椅子部件和第二椅子部件。
优选地,所述一个或多个磁感受体是一个或多个铁磁感受体,如例如氧化铁、六角形铁氧体、或软性铁氧体磁粒子。当然,可使用其他感受体,例如是不锈钢感受体或其他感受体。所述一个或多个磁感受体优选地被设置成在其通过电磁波或接触到电磁场或磁场而被激活之后能提供磁滞加热和/或涡电流加热。
第一、第二和第三聚合材料可各自由合成橡胶材料、塑料或其他聚合材料组成。例如,第一、第二和第三聚合材料可各自为热塑性聚酯或聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯。
在本方法的一些实施例中,可通过在模制第一椅子部件时把胶粘剂模制到部分第一椅子部件内而把胶粘剂置于第一椅子部件上,以致第一椅子部件由第一聚合材料和胶粘剂组成。
胶粘剂还可被置于第二椅子部件上或之内。在一个实施例中,胶粘剂也可通过在模制第二椅子部件时把胶粘剂模制到部分第二椅子部件内而把胶粘剂置于第二椅子部件内或之上,以致第二椅子部件由第二聚合材料和胶粘剂组成。优选地,第二椅子部件被放置成与第一椅子部件接合。
还可通过使用机器来实施本方法的一个或多个步骤来实施本方法的实施例。在一些实施例中,本方法还可包括把第一椅子部件放置在焊接机的支承结构上,以及使用将第二椅子部件接合并把该部件向第一部件压紧的焊接机的施压机制向第一和第二椅子部件至少其中之一施加力以压紧第一和第二椅子部件。
本发明还提供了椅子。椅子包括第一椅子部件、第二椅子部件以及胶粘剂,胶粘剂被放置成邻接第一和第二椅子部件以把第一椅子部件附接至第二椅子部件。胶粘剂由聚合材料和至少一个磁感受体组成,其通过电磁波或接触到磁场而被激活而把第一椅子部件附接至第二椅子部件。
优选地,第一椅子部件是背皮或椅座皮,第二椅子部件是椅座架或背架。背架可带有至少一个形成于其中的槽,胶粘剂可被放置在背皮和背架之间的一个或多个背架的槽内。一个或多个紧固件或机械紧固机制也可被放置成或限定在第一和第二椅子部件之间以有助于把第一椅子部件附接至第二椅子部件。例如,一个或多个燕尾榫头可形成于一个部件中,该部件被设置成与于其他部件中形成的凹处或开口配合。
在对本发明的某些本优选实施例以及实行同样过程的某些本优选方法进行以下描述时,本发明的其他细节、目的和优点就会变得明显。

具体实施方式
本发明研制了用于把椅子部件紧固在一起的紧固机制和方法。用于附接椅子部件的新的紧固机制和方法的实施例包括使用胶粘剂,其能通过接触到磁场或电磁波而被激活,把至少一个部件紧固于至少一个其他部件。这种胶粘剂可由至少一个磁感受体组成,磁感受体被设置成当接触到磁场时能加热,并激活胶粘剂把部件焊接到一起。所述一个或多个磁感受体可被设置为提供磁滞加热和/或涡电流加热。优选地,所述一个或多个磁感受体被设置成提供合适的加热速度和其他必要性能以把一个部件附接至至少一个其他的部件。本优选胶粘剂的实施例可包括浸渍上或者包含一个或多个不锈钢感受体或铁磁感受体的聚合材料,所述磁感受体例如是氧化铁、六角形铁氧体、或软性铁氧体磁粒子。当然,也可使用其他磁感受体。
可将一个或多个珠状、带状、束状或片状的胶粘剂的实施例应用在一个或多个部件上。然后,其他部件可被放置成与胶粘剂接合。接着,可施加磁场或电磁波于所述部件和胶粘剂。磁场或电磁波能将所述珠加热而激活胶粘剂,把所述部件连接在一起形成焊接点。该焊接点可以比母材更坚固。优选地,所述部件由例如是聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯("PBT")或热塑性聚酯弹性体()材料(由杜邦公司(E.I.du Pont deNemours and Company)所生产的热塑性聚酯)的塑料组成。焊接或紧固在一起的椅子部件可选择由其他聚合材料或合成橡胶材料组成。
如图1-3A中所示,椅子1可包括带有一个或多个槽3的背架2和连接至背架2的背皮4。优选地,背架2由PBT组成,背皮4由材料组成。当然,在替代性实施例中,背皮和背架可各自由材料、PBT或其他合成橡胶或聚合材料组成。
胶粘珠5包含至少一个被设置成当接触到磁场或电磁波就会进行加热的铁磁感受体,该珠被放置在背架2的槽3内。皮4的边缘部分可被置于槽3内,邻接着胶粘剂5。优选地,皮的边缘部分与胶粘剂5接合。然后,可施加磁场或电磁波于皮4、背架2和胶粘剂5以激活该胶粘剂,把皮4和背架2焊接在一起。优选地,在把背皮焊接至背架的过程中,把力施加于背皮、背架或上述两者,以向背皮和/或背架施加压力。
背皮的边缘部分优选地还包括带有一个或多个燕尾榫头或榫舌结构的周边,其尺寸和形状被设置为能与形成在背架部件中的一个或多个沟或开口配合。例如,在图3A中可见,背皮可包括周边榫舌部分,其形状为能被合适地装进形成于背架2中的槽内,邻接着胶粘珠5。在珠5被激活之后,被激活的胶粘珠5把背皮整体地附接至背架。
应可理解,如图4中可见,接合燕尾榫头9或榫舌部分能有助于把皮部件9附接至架部件10,还能有助于把背皮所经受的一些应力和张力转移至背架,以向部件的附接提供额外的支承和牢固度。应力和张力的转移可基于以下设计:架部件和皮部件的几何形状、所预计和估计坐着的使用者施压在部件上的力,以及接合后的部件的理想美观效果和接合后的部件的预计或理想使用期。
在椅子的替代性实施例中,可用胶粘剂把椅座皮附接至椅座架。例如,椅座皮7可带有被装在椅座架8的一个或多个沟内的边缘部分。如图5中可见,胶粘剂能被放置成在皮和椅座架之间的沟内并被激活,以把椅座皮附接至椅座架。椅座皮7优选地是由合成橡胶材料薄片组成的网格薄膜。
参照图6,其显示了第一本优选的紧固机11。应该理解的是,如果外包这种机器的制造是更加经济实惠的,机器11的实施例可从供应商取得,以基于设计标准制造机器,从而符合特定的设计需要。优选地,这种机器的实施例从艾默邦德方案有限责任公司(Emabond Solutions LLC)可得,该公司首创使用了这种使用于其他用途例如是In-Sink-Erator的热饮水机的水箱以及用于坐便器的高水压水容器的焊接工艺。当然,也可使用其他厂商,只要他们依所提供的所述部件和/或紧固机的设计标准或设计规格便可。
应该可理解到,椅子和椅子部件中这类部件的焊接和紧固比在其他应用中的水箱或容器以铁磁胶粘剂焊接部件的困难程度大得多。例如,椅子部件能经受各种不同向量的巨大应力,并且部件的接合必须经受程度和本质不同的应力和张力问题。这对于经受倾斜的背的背架和背皮部件或者支承坐着的使用者在坐着时移动的椅座架和椅座皮部件尤其如此。
事实上我们相信,从未有人认为与水箱或水容器相关的设计考虑因素会和椅子有关或在椅子的研制过程中被加以考虑。这种水箱和水容器的设计考虑因素与椅子设计的考虑因素大大不同。在考虑到这些完全不同的装置所经受的环境和磨损是完全不同时尤其如此。例如,人们认为,相对于对例如是椅子设计中使用的背皮或椅座皮以及背架或椅座架的椅子部件的要求,对在椅子的使用期中椅子部件所经受的应力和张力以及固定的水容器或水箱的任何焊接的要求都被视为非常不同和较低。事实上,在我们作出尝试之前,椅子领域的普通技术人员中甚至没有任何人考虑过,更别说尝试使用本文中公开的胶粘剂5、紧固机11或所述方法,这至少部分是由于相对于椅子、椅子制造和椅子设计,先前所作的用途有着这些显著的差异以及不相似的性质。
紧固机11能包括部件夹持装置12和夹紧装置14。夹紧装置14被设置成由如图6中所示的第一位置移动到如图6A中所示的夹紧位置,即把夹紧装置14放置成与支承在夹持装置12上的部件接合,以向位于夹持装置12上的部件施压。优选地,部件夹持装置带有至少一个线圈,该线圈的大小和设置为焊接在一起的部件的理想的焊接线的几何形状。
在线圈被激活以在一条或多条焊接线把部件粘接一起时,线圈被激活而产生磁场或电磁波以溶化或激活胶粘剂。被激活的胶粘剂沿理想的一条或多条焊接线贴近部件。加热周期可在1至40秒之间,或可包括其他焊接时间。优选地,在激活胶粘剂的过程中,夹紧装置14施加相对小的夹紧力。在激活胶粘剂并完成焊接之后,夹紧装置优选地施加较大的夹紧压力,以在提供给焊接或粘接部件的冷却周期或冷却时间的期间有助于使焊接点更加牢固。
机器11可包括电磁波产生器或电磁场产生装置。优选地,机器11被设置成引入具有能适当地激活胶粘剂的功率和频率的电磁波或者磁场或电磁场,以把由材料组成的第一部件焊接至由PBT组成的第二部件。例如,可利用244伏特的功率和13.56兆赫(Mhz)的频率引入这一磁场。优选地,机器11的***还用50欧姆(Ω)的电阻运行。所产生的磁场或电磁波的功率强度优选为在1,300瓦特和3,600瓦特之间。例如,功率强度可被设定在1,550瓦特、1,700瓦特、3,000瓦特、或3,600瓦特。当然,也可同样适当地使用其他电阻级、功率强度或频率把部件焊接在一起。
优选地,焊接时间在25至40秒之间。然而,也可使用其他的焊接时间。在激活胶粘剂之后,应允许部件被冷却一段时间。例如,对于持续25秒的焊接来说,优选的冷却时间为10秒。在另一例子中,对于持续40秒的焊接,优选的冷却时间为15至40秒。当然,必要时可使用其他冷却时间。应可理解的是,在冷却时所施加于部件的夹紧压力可以比在焊接时所施加的夹紧压力相对地大。
应可理解的是,可以因胶粘剂的磁滞损耗以及较少程度地因涡流加热而在焊接过程中发生加热。加热速度能由胶粘剂在所附接部件的粘接界面处的磁化率决定。应该注意的是,经常需要相对地高的频率以进行高效的加热。
接合处的几何形状和支承架中线圈的位置之间的相互关系即便不是用来决定从线圈到胶粘剂的能量转移的效率,也能很大地影响该效率。线圈还包括未通电的反射器。该反射器线圈把磁通量线或电磁波导向胶粘剂。在焊接过程中施加的夹紧力有助于确保部件能适当地被焊接。
参照图7-8,其显示了第二本优选紧固机21。紧固机21包括被设置成支承不同的椅子部件、背架26和背皮28的支承架22,23和24。背皮由材料组成,背架由PBT组成。
支承架22包括顶面30,其大小和设置为能容纳背架28和背皮26的顶部部分。施压装置34被装设在支承架22之上并被设置成从如图7中所示的未夹紧位置移动至如图8中所示的夹紧位置。在夹紧位置时,施压装置优选地通过开动气动杆施加夹紧压力,气动杆因应用在20至110磅每平方英寸(psi)的范围内的气压,或更优选地在60至100磅每平方英寸(psi)的范围内的气压而开动,以使夹紧位于支承架22的凹处30内的背皮26的部分和背架28部分的夹紧体移动。
可适当地调节夹紧压力以焊接或粘接不同的部件。很多因素例如部件的成分、部件尺寸、部件结构以及夹紧装置和一个或多个支承架的尺寸和结构可影响在夹紧过程中施压装置所施的压力以及在焊接过程中或焊接后需要多长时间来夹紧部件,以确保良好的焊接。
对于某类部件来说,可能需要在不同的时间对所附接部件的不同部分进行焊接或激活胶粘剂。例如,第一本优选机器11可用于把一个部件的一部分附接至另一部件。然后,所述部件可被移至第二本优选机器21,以把部件的其他部分附接在一起。在另一例子中,部件可在第二本优选机器21被部分地焊接,随后被移至机器11以完成该部件的连接。
应可理解的是,由塑料或合成橡胶材料组成的其他各种部件可通过使用由至少一个磁感受体组成的胶粘剂焊接在一起。在一些实施例中,由聚合材料组成的部件可被模制,以致在所述部件的一个或多个部分中包含一个或多个磁感受体,从而胶粘剂与部件成为一体,以致部件可以接触到磁场或电磁波并被焊接至与含有胶粘剂的那些部分接合的其他部件。在激活已被模制进所述部件的感受体的过程中或之后,可把所粘接的部件夹紧或压在一起。
尽管已显示和描述了椅子部件紧固机、包括椅子部件紧固机制的椅子、以及实施其的方法的某些实施例的某些本优选实施例,但应该清楚理解的是,本发明不限于以上所述,而是可包括在以下权利要求的范围内不同的体现和实施。

Claims (12)

1.一种组装椅子的方法,包括:
提供由第一聚合材料组成的第一椅子部件;
提供由第二聚合材料组成的第二椅子部件;
把胶粘剂放置在第一椅子部件上或之内,胶粘剂由第三聚合材料和至少一个磁感受体组成;
把第二椅子部件放置成与胶粘剂接合并紧接第一椅子部件;
把磁场或电磁波施加于胶粘剂以激活该胶粘剂;以及
向第一和第二椅子部件中的至少其中之一施力以压紧第一椅子部件和第二椅子部件,以将第一椅子部件附接第二椅子部件;
其中第一椅子部件是背皮,第二椅子部件是背架,该背皮的边缘部分还包括带有一个或多个燕尾榫头或榫舌结构的周边,其尺寸和形状被设置为能与形成在该背架的一个或多个沟或开口配合,
或者其中第一椅子部件是椅座皮,第二椅子部件是椅座架,该椅座皮带有被装在该椅座架的一个或多个沟内的边缘部分,
其中所述第一聚合材料是热塑性聚酯或合成橡胶材料,所述第二聚合材料是热塑性聚酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯或合成橡胶材料,所述第三聚合材料是热塑性聚酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯或合成橡胶材料。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中在施加磁场或电磁波之前把力施加于第二椅子部件。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中通过在模制第一椅子部件时把胶粘剂模制到部分第一椅子部件内而把胶粘剂放置在第一椅子部件上或之内,以致第一椅子部件由第一聚合材料和胶粘剂组成。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括把胶粘剂放置在第二椅子部件上或之内。
5.如权利要求4所述的方法,其中通过在模制第二椅子部件时把胶粘剂模制到部分第二椅子部件内而把胶粘剂放置在第二椅子部件上或之内,以致第二椅子部件由第二聚合材料和胶粘剂组成。
6.如权利要求5所述的方法,其中第二椅子部件的位置是把第二椅子部件放置成与第一椅子部件接合。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括把第一椅子部件放置在焊接机的支承结构上,其中使用与第二椅子部件接合并把第二椅子部件向第一椅子部件压紧的焊接机的施力机制向第一椅子部件和第二椅子部件中的至少其中之一施予力,以压紧第一椅子部件和第二椅子部件。
8.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述至少一个磁感受体是至少一个铁磁感受体。
9.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中通过产生13.56兆赫的频率和7,300伏特的电压的磁场的装置施加磁场。
10.一种椅子,包括:
第一椅子部件;
第二椅子部件;
其中第一椅子部件是背皮,第二椅子部件是背架,该背皮的边缘部分还包括带有一个或多个燕尾榫头或榫舌结构的周边,其尺寸和形状被设置为能与形成在该背架的一个或多个沟或开口配合,

11.如权利要求10所述的椅子,进一步包括至少一个机械紧固机制,其被放置或限定在第一椅子部件和第二椅子部件之间,以有助于把第一椅子部件附接至第二椅子部件。
12.如权利要求10所述的椅子,其中第一椅子部件是背皮,第二椅子部件是背架,该背架带有形成于该背架中的至少一个槽,并且其中胶粘剂被放置在背皮和背架之间的所述至少一个槽内。
