Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种结构,该结构包括由第一材料组成的层或面(A)和与所述层或面(A)相邻的由含有聚烯烃的组合物组成的聚烯烃层或面(B)。此外,本发明涉及该结构的制备方法,涉及一种包括该结构的制品,尤其是涂层管,以及涉及含有有机硅化合物的组合物在该结构中作为增粘剂的用途。
背景技术
其中至少一层为聚烯烃层的包括两层、三层、四层、五层或更多层的结构对于例如管的保护涂层的多种应用而言是众所周知的。在包括聚烯烃层/面的结构的制备中,已知的困难是聚烯烃层/面与由相同或不同聚烯烃组合物或者如金属的不同材料组成的另一层/面之间的粘合不太好,所以通常必须例如通过使用中间层来提高层/面之间的粘合以避免脱层,例如层/面的不需要的分离。
例如,在金属(特别是钢)管的涂敷中,通常在金属壁上涂敷三个聚合物层。该结构通常包括设计用来牢固地粘附到金属(钢)管壁的外表面上的环氧层、中间层和通常包含高密度聚乙烯或聚丙烯的聚烯烃保护外层。在这种结构中,特别需要环氧层用来提高聚合物层与金属的粘合以及还用于金属的防腐蚀。需要聚烯烃保护外层主要用来提供良好的机械保护和较低的透水性。最后,需要通常也包含聚烯烃的中间层来使环氧层与聚烯烃外层之间具有良好的粘合。
对于涂层管而言,这种常规结构的一个缺点是使用了环氧层,因为:第一,环氧树脂的加工窗口非常狭窄,这样导致生产要求提高并常常导致涂敷失败。第二,已知环氧层非常脆,尤其是在高玻璃化转变温度下,以及第三,环氧树脂非常昂贵。
发明内容
因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种包括由聚烯烃组合物制成的层/面的结构,尤其是用于涂层金属管的结构,该结构无需使用环氧层而使聚烯烃层/面与将所述聚烯烃层层压在其上的层/面之间具有足够优异的粘合。
现已令人惊讶地发现,通过在将聚烯烃层/面层压在另一层/面上之前用含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理将要与由聚烯烃组合物制成的层相邻的层/面的表面和/或由聚烯烃组合物制成的层的表面可以实现这个目标。
因此,本发明提供一种结构,该结构包括
(i)由第一材料组成的层或面(A),和
(ii)与所述层或面(A)相邻的聚烯烃层或面(B),其由包含含有聚烯烃的基础树脂的组合物组成,
其特征在于,在使(A)与(B)彼此相邻之前,所述层或面(A)与层或面(B)的任一个或两个的表面已用含有有机硅化合物的组合物进行了处理。
本发明一个优点在于,由于用含有有机硅化合物的组合物进行所述处理,显著提高了聚烯烃层/面(B)与彼此相邻的另一层/面(A)之间的粘合。因此能够提供包括聚烯烃层/面的结构,该结构具有增强的抗脱层性或屏蔽性,并因而例如增加了寿命。
例如,在制备涂层金属管期间,还可以不用增粘层,特别是环氧层,并且仍然获得非常高或甚至更好的金属与聚烯烃层之间的粘合度。此外,不用环氧层还有利于该管的制备,因为加工和操作窗口明显变宽,这样产生更加稳健的***。此外,成本明显降低。
还进一步地,通过应用本发明的发现,能够提供一种所谓的独立(stand alone)聚烯烃涂层管,其指的是除金属内壁之外只具有一个另外的聚烯烃外层的管。
本发明的另一个优点在于:特别是在制备涂层钢管期间,能够避免用铬酸盐溶液(其迄今用于腐蚀抑制)处理钢表面,因为用含有有机硅化合物的组合物的处理提供了耐腐蚀性。因此,不再需要使用有毒并甚至致癌的铬酸盐。
例如,根据本发明的结构还可为这样的结构,该结构包括阻挡层(例如由铝和聚烯烃层制成)、用聚烯烃层涂敷的金属板(屋面材料)、用聚烯烃层涂敷的金属面,或者包括不同聚烯烃层/面(例如聚乙烯和聚丙烯层/面)的结构。
通过如层压、共挤压或焊接的本领域已知的任何方法可以实现使层/面(A)与(B)彼此相邻。例如,如果层/面(A)由金属组成,则可以通过挤压、注塑等在其上形成聚烯烃层/面。
本文所用术语“聚烯烃”指的是烯烃均聚物和/或共聚物,其还可具有如极性基团的另外基团。
组成聚烯烃层或面(B)的组合物包含含有聚烯烃的基础树脂。术语“基础树脂”意图包括组成组合物(B)的全部聚合物成分。
同样地,用于处理层/面(A)和/或(B)的表面的有机硅化合物和含有有机硅化合物的组合物均优选不含包含环氧基的化合物。
有机硅化合物优选为非聚合物。
组成聚烯烃层/面(B)的聚烯烃组合物优选不含任何包含环氧基的化合物。
此外,组成层/面(A)的材料,特别是金属,也优选不含任何包含环氧基的化合物。
优选地,层/面(A)由聚合物组合物、玻璃、金属或金属合金组成,更优选由金属或金属合金组成。
优选在使(A)与(B)彼此相邻之前已用所述含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理层/面(A)。如上所述,因为用所述含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理还提供了腐蚀抑制,所以如果该层/面(A)由金属或金属合金组成是特别优选的。
此外,优选在使(A)与(B)彼此相邻之前已用所述含有有机硅化合物的组合物仅仅处理层/面(A)。
用于处理层/面(A)和/或(B)的组合物不但可以包含单一有机硅化合物而且可以包含两种或更多种这些化合物的混合物。这也适用于有机硅化合物的全部优选实施方式。
优选地,所述有机硅化合物包含一个或多个可水解基团,该基团在水解之后产生硅烷醇基,即SiOH基。
更优选地,未水解的有机硅化合物包含以下结构元素:
其中,R1、R2和R3独立地选自优选为甲基、乙基或丙基的烷基和乙酰基。所述有机硅化合物可以包含一个或多个这些结构元素。

所述有机硅化合物还可包含一个或多个含有碳碳双键的基团,例如链烯基。
可以使用未水解硅烷作为上述含有一个或多个SiOH基的优选化合物的前体。优选地,选择未水解乙烯基硅烷以使在水解时得到水解乙烯基硅烷,优选如上述更优选实施方式所述的那些水解乙烯基硅烷。

例如,在US 5,759,629中公开了这些有机硅化合物。该文献公开的全部内容并入本申请。具体而言,其明确地参考在该文献中公开的有机硅化合物的全部实施方式和优选实施方式,特别是水解乙烯基硅烷和未水解乙烯基硅烷的实施方式,无论是否已经在本文中披露。
优选地,层/面(A)和/或层/面(B)的表面处理包括向所述表面涂敷有机硅化合物溶液,通常为含水溶液。
优选地,基于溶液成分的总体积,用于制备处理溶液的未水解乙烯基硅烷的总浓度为4vol.%或更高。更优选,溶液浓度为5~20vol.%。
优选地,除有机硅化合物和水之外,所述溶液还可非必需地包含至少一种醇,该醇可选自甲醇、乙醇、丙醇、丁醇和其异构体中。
优选地,所述溶液的pH值为3~8,更优选为4~6。
对于所述溶液的涂敷,再次明确参考US 5,759,629以及在其中给出的全部优选实施方式。
在优选实施方式中,将所述溶液喷涂到将要处理的层/面的冷表面上。特别是当涂敷金属层/面时,该层/面可然后被加热,例如通过感应加热,优选加热至50~300℃、更优选60~200℃的温度以减少干燥时间。
在根据本发明的结构的优选实施方式中,组成层或面(B)的组合物的聚烯烃包含增粘基团。
优选地,所述增粘基团为极性基团。
例如,具有增粘基团(优选极性基团)的聚烯烃可通过烯烃单体与具有这些基团的共聚单体化合物的共聚合或者在制备聚烯烃之后通过将适合化合物接枝到聚烯烃主链上而制备。
如果用共聚合制备具有增粘基团的聚烯烃,则优选制备包含乙烯与选自一种或多种共聚单体的共聚物的极性共聚物,所述共聚单体选自C1~C6烷基丙烯酸酯、C1~C6烷基甲基丙烯酸酯、羟基功能性单体、酸酐功能性单体、例如(甲基)丙烯酸2-羟乙酯、丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、乙酸乙烯酯和乙烯基硅烷。例如,所述极性共聚物还可为乙烯、一种上述单体和乙烯基硅烷的三元共聚物。该共聚物还可包含离聚物结构(象杜邦Surlyn型)。
如果用接枝来制得具有增粘基团的聚烯烃,则可以使用本领域技术人员已知的适用于此目的任何试剂作为接枝剂。
优选地,酸性接枝剂为不饱和羧酸或其如酸酐、酯和盐(金属和非金属盐)的衍生物。优选地,不饱和基团与羧基共轭。
所述接枝剂的实例包括乙烯基硅烷、丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、富马酸、马来酸、3,6-内亚甲基1,2,3,6-四氢化邻苯二甲酸、柠康酸、衣康酸、巴豆酸及其酸酐、金属盐、酯、酰胺或酰亚胺。
优选的接枝剂为马来酸、其衍生物例如马来酸酐,并且特别优选马来酸酐。
可以通过本领域已知的任何方法进行接枝,例如,在不含溶剂的熔体中或者在溶液或分散液中或者在流化床中进行接枝。优选地,在热挤出机或混合器中进行接枝,如例如在US 3,236,917、US 4,639,495、US 4,950,541或US 5,194509中所述。这些文献的内容通过引用方式并入本申请。优选地,在双螺旋挤出机中进行接枝,如在US 4,950,541中所述。
接枝可在自由基引发剂存在或不存在下进行,但优选在如有机过氧化物、有机过酸酯或有机过氧化氢的自由基引发剂存在下进行。
优选地,聚烯烃中的极性基团选自丙烯酸酯(例如丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸丙酯、丙烯酸丁酯)、羧酸(例如马来酸)和胺。
组成层或面(B)的聚烯烃组合物的基础树脂可以包含一种聚烯烃或者两种或更多种聚烯烃的混合物。
增粘基团可以存在于聚烯烃组合物中的一种、几种或全部聚烯烃中。
优选地,基于聚烯烃组合物中的烯烃单体的总量,聚烯烃组合物中的增粘基团的含量为0.01~5.0mol.%,更优选为0.02~1.0mol.%。
此外,优选地,组成层/面(B)的组合物的基础树脂的聚烯烃为乙烯均聚物或共聚物和/或丙烯均聚物或共聚物或者其任何混合物。
优选在组成层/面(B)的聚烯烃组合物的基础树脂中,聚烯烃的总量为90wt.%或更多。
如稳定剂的常规添加剂可以最高至10wt.%、更优选最高至5wt.%且还更优选最高至1wt.%的含量存在于聚烯烃组合物中。
然而,在含填料的聚烯烃的实施方式中,该组合物包含的填料材料的量最高至70wt.%也是可以的。于是,基础树脂优选占25wt.%或更多的量。
本发明还涉及一种结构的制备方法,其特征在于,在使层/面(A)与层/面(B)彼此相邻之前,已用含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理由第一材料组成的层或面(A)的表面和/或由含有聚烯烃的组合物组成的聚烯烃层或面(B)的表面。
更进一步地,本发明涉及一种制品,该制品包括前述任一实施方式中的结构。
在一个特别优选的实施方式中,根据本发明的结构为涂层管,更优选为涂层金属管,其中,层/面(A)由金属/金属合金以内胎/管的形式组成。在已用含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理(A)的外表面之后,将聚烯烃层形成于所述管/胎的外表面上。
此外,就该涂层金属管而言,两种实施方式是优选的。
在第一实施方式中,在金属内壁的外表面上形成中间聚烯烃粘合层,接着,在中间聚烯烃粘合层上形成聚烯烃保护外层。
例如,在WO 99/37730或WO 03/046101中公开了用于聚烯烃粘合层的组合物。这些文献的全部内容并入本申请。
在第二实施方式中,涂层管为所谓的独立聚烯烃涂层管,这说明在金属内壁的外表面上直接形成聚烯烃保护外层。
在该实施方式中,在组合物中,优选组成聚烯烃保护层的聚烯烃组合物包含0.01~1.0wt.%的量的增粘基团。
在涂层金属管的全部实施方式中,特别优选在其上形成层/面(B)之前,已用所述含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理由金属/金属合金组成的层/面(A)。
本发明进一步涉及含有有机硅化合物的组合物在包括由含有聚烯烃的组合物组成的层/面的结构中作为增粘剂的用途,尤其在任一前述结构中。
具体实施方式
实验和实施例
1、定义和测量方法
a)熔体流动速率
根据ISO 1133测定熔体流动速率(MFR)并且以g/10min表示。MFR表征聚合物的流动性,并因此表征聚合物的加工性能。熔体流动速率越高,聚合物的粘度越低。在190℃测定聚乙烯的MFR并且在230℃测定聚丙烯的MFR。它可以在如2.16kg(MFR2)、5kg(MFR5)或21.6kg(MFR21)的不同载荷下测定。
b)剥离强度
根据DIN 30670通过Instron 1122剥离强度测试设备测试聚合物对钢的粘合力。在涂层上切割宽度为3cm的带。使该带的另一端固定到牵引设备上,并且在以10mm/min的牵引速度从钢上剥离该带期间测量剥离强度。结果表示为N/cm。
2、制备的结构
根据以下程序制备不同涂层钢管结构:
在钢管涂敷试验生产线上进行涂敷,所述生产线为连续侧向挤出生产线,其由管运输***、感应炉、环氧喷涂装置、用于粘合聚合物的挤出机、用于顶层的挤出机和冷却槽组成。
在钢管涂敷生产线中所用的钢管的长度为1m并且直径为100mm。
实施例1:(对比):
将干净的喷钢砂加工钢管放在滚动运输带上。在感应炉中以几秒停留时间将管表面加热至180~220℃。
然后在热的管外表面上增加环氧层(Scotchkote 226N,来自3M)。该环氧层的厚度为120微米。

在下一阶段中,在220℃的温度将由另一多相聚丙烯共聚物(MFR2(230℃,2.16kg)=0.9g/10min,橡胶含量为13wt.%,乙烯总含量为9wt.%)制成的聚丙烯顶层挤出在所述粘合层上并且在水冷却槽中冷却涂层管。该涂层的厚度为3.3毫米。
实施例2:
将干净的喷钢砂加工钢管(与对比实施例1相同)放在在滚动运输带。用10%有机硅烷-水溶液(Oxsilan MM-0705,购自Chemetall)喷湿管外表面。然后,将钢表面加热至160℃并且在挤出粘合层之前干燥该表面。这样制得的层的厚度为10微米。
和在对比实施例1中一样进行粘合层和顶部涂层的挤出。
实施例3(对比):
和在前述实施例中一样进行粘合层和顶部涂层的挤出,但之前在管表面上既不涂敷有机硅烷,又不涂敷环氧层。
实施例4
将干净的喷钢砂加工钢管放在滚动运输带上。用10%有机硅烷-水溶液(Oxsilan MM-0705,购自Chemetall)喷湿管表面。然后,将钢表面加热至160℃并且干燥该表面。这样制得的层的厚度为10微米。
然后,在200℃侧向挤出粘合聚乙烯层。所用聚乙烯为马来酸酐接枝的中密度聚乙烯组合物(d=934kg/m3,MFR2(190℃,2.16kg)=1.5g/10min,马来酸含量:0.5wt.%,乙烯丙烯酸丁酯含量:6wt.%,如EP1316598的实施例中所述的组合物3)。
在下一阶段中,在220℃的温度将由高密度聚乙烯(d=953kg/m3,MFR2(190℃,2.16kg)=0.5g/10min,如EP 837 915的实施例中所述的聚乙烯#3)制成的聚乙烯顶层侧向挤出在所述粘合层上并且在水冷却槽中冷却涂层管。
实施例5(对比)
除没有用有机硅烷溶液处理钢表面之外,和在实施例4中一样进行涂敷。
3、剥离强度测试结果
实施例1~5的涂层管的剥离强度测试结果示于表1中。

从表1中给出结果可以看出,与仅单独具有环氧的涂层相比,在聚丙烯涂层***中,用有机硅烷对管的钢表面的预处理在较低温度下提供了相同的粘合结果以及在较高温度下甚至更好的粘合结果,并且与没有任何处理/环氧层的相比具有更好的粘合(参见对比实施例1、3与实施例2)。
此外,使用有机硅烷处理明显提高了聚乙烯涂层的粘合(实施例4与对比实施例5)。
Claims (12)
1.一种结构,该结构包括
(i)由金属或金属合金组成的层或面A,和
(ii)与所述层或面A相邻的由包含含有聚烯烃的基础树脂的组合物组成的聚烯烃层或面B,所述层或面B的组合物的聚烯烃包含为极性基团的增粘基团,
其特征在于,在使A与B彼此相邻之前,已用含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理所述层或面A的表面,而没有用铬酸盐处理所述层或面A的表面。
2.根据权利要求1所述的结构,其中,所述有机硅化合物包含一个或多个可水解基团,该基团在水解之后产生硅烷醇基。
4.根据权利要求1所述的结构,其中,所述层或面A的表面的处理包括向所述表面涂敷所述有机硅化合物的溶液。
5.根据权利要求1所述的结构,其中,所述聚烯烃中的极性基团选自丙烯酸酯、羧酸和胺。
6.根据权利要求1所述的结构,其中,在聚烯烃中所述增粘基团的含量为0.01~5.0mol.%。
7.根据权利要求1所述的结构,其中,所述层或面B的组合物的基础树脂的聚烯烃由乙烯均聚物或共聚物或者丙烯均聚物或共聚物组成。
8.一种根据权利要求1~7中任一项所述的结构的制备方法,其特征在于,在使A与由含有聚烯烃的组合物组成的聚烯烃层或面B彼此相邻之前,用含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理由金属或金属合金组成的层或面A的表面,而没有用铬酸盐处理所述层或面A的表面。
9.一种制品,其特征在于,该制品包括根据权利要求1~7中任一项所述的结构。
10.根据权利要求9所述的制品,其中,该制品为涂层管。
11.根据权利要求10所述的涂层管,其中,层/面A由钢组成,并且在使A与B彼此相邻之前,已用所述含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理其外表面,而没有用铬酸盐处理其外表面。
12.含有有机硅化合物的组合物在根据权利要求1~7中任一项所述的结构中作为增粘剂的用途,其中,在使A与B彼此相邻之前,已用含有有机硅化合物的组合物处理所述层或面A的表面,而没有用铬酸盐处理所述层或面A的表面。
