Zugleich wird dadurch u.a auch eine Betätigung der Vorrichtung in der Weise ermöglicht, dass das Gehäuse nach dem Einlegen des Tabaks in die Tabakkammer und dem Schliessen der letzteren mittels der Pressplatte mit der ganzen Hand umfasst werden kann und, z. B. bei vertikaler Haltung der Vorrichtung, sich die Betätigungsstange mit ihrem Ende auf eine Unterlage, beispielsweise eine Tischplatte, aufsetzen lässt, wobei dann mit der das Gehäuse umgreifenden Hand lediglich ein Abwärtsdruck ausgeübt zu werden braucht, um den Stopfvorgang durchzuführen. Dies ermöglicht ein leichtes Aufbringen der Betätigungskraft und macht die Vorrichtung u.a. ohne weiteres auch für die Benutzung durch Behinderte geeignet. Die dargestellte Vorrichtung weist ein insbesondere aus Kunststoff hergestelltes Gehäuse 1 mit einer in dem letzteren befestigten und über dessen Stirnseite vorstehenden Tülle 3 auf.
