Wristwatch The main patent relates to a wristwatch let comprising a case whose middle part has a groove formed in its outer periphery and a strap attachment member, removably fixed in said groove, this member being constituted by a ring open elastic, having ends folded inwards to engage with corresponding housings made in said groove to secure said ring to the middle part,
characterized in that this ring is shaped so as to present two diametrically opposed handles intended to receive the ends of the bracelet, and in the fact that said fastening member also has a lug intended to come into engagement with a third housing correspon dant provided in said groove, to prevent any movement of this organ in the groove.
It has been noticed that if a strong traction was exerted on the two diametrically opposed handles of the elastic ring, the folded ends of this ring may accidentally come out of the housing of the car in which they are engaged.
The wristwatch which is the subject of the present invention overcomes this drawback and is characterized in that the two ends of the open elastic ring are placed on either side of the grazing tube of the winding stem and are tight between the bottom of the groove and a seat of this tube.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents, by way of example, a view cut in plan at the level of the groove of the middle part, of an embodiment of the watch bracelet which is the subject of the present invention.
The caseband 1 has an outside diameter equal to that of the open elastic ring 2. The depth of the groove 3 formed in the thickness of its edge is equal to the radial dimension of the elastic ring 2. Two housings 4 and 5 are formed in the middle part 1 on either side of the passage 6 of the winding stem and open into the groove 3. A third identical housing 7 is provided, diametrically opposed to the wise pitch 6 of the winding stem. Three lugs 8 from manufacture with the elastic ring 2 penetrate these housings 4, 5 and 7.
The diametrically opposed handles provided on the elastic ring 2 are formed by horns 9 intended to receive bars 10 for fixing the bracelet.
A tube 11 having an external bearing surface 12 is driven into the passage 6 of the winding stem. The outer bearing surface 12 penetrates into a recess 13 formed on either side of the ends of the elastic ring 2 and comes to rest at the bottom of this recess, thus pressing the ends of the elastic ring 2 to the bottom of the groove 3 and preventing the lugs 8 from coming out of the recesses 4 and 5 during traction exerted on the handles. In order to match the ends of the branches of the elastic ring 2 with the passage 6 of the winding stem,
we first of all because a rough hole in place of the passage 6 and we finish the step wise with a finishing hole, then we machine the recess 13 by means of a pivot bit. Thus the passage 6 and the recess are well centered with respect to each other.
It will also be noted that the middle part 1 and the elastic ring 2 can be obtained in different materials and colors thus giving an unexpected aesthetic effect or in the same material but with different exterior surface treatments, each of the two parts. being machined separately.
As a variant, the open elastic ring 2 may have a radial dimension greater than the depth of the groove 3 of the middle part, so that this ring protrudes out of the middle part giving the case a particular aesthetic effect.
