Description

Automatic winding mechanism by oscillating weight for watch movement. The object of the present invention is a mechanism (the automatic winding mechanism using an oscillating weight for a watch movement.

We already know a lot of devices (automatic winding by oscillating mass: in -general the latter acts. On the output of the barrel. In one direction, so that half of] the useful energy (the mass is lost). .

The mechanism according to the invention aims to use substantially all the energy of the oscillating mass, including. movements in both directions are useful. to charge the spring of the barrel; it is characterized in that it comprises two eliquets pivoted eccentrically on a wheel driven in rotation by the oscillating mass, said pawls both cooperating with a second wheel, the latter being connected to the ratchet of the barrel.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the mechanism according to the invention. The sole figure is a plan view which shows only what is useful for understanding the invention.

Referring to the drawing, 1 denotes the. oscillating weight pivoted in 2 at the center of the movement. The mass 1 moves without limitation around its axis and can end up with it <full revolutions in both directions. A pinion 3 integral (the mass 1 meshes with a wheel -1 pivoted at 5 on a fixed part û integral with the frame of the movement.

The wheel 4 carries eccentrically. a pin 7 which pivots two pawls 8, 9 terminated by jaws 10, 11 cooperating with a toothed wheel 12 pivoted at 13. The wheel 12 is connected to the ratchet of the barrel, directly or by a train of - reduction gears (not shown). \ The two pawls 8, 9 are under the action of a spring 14, held at 15 on a lug 16 of the pawl 9 and tight. in bringing the two aforementioned pawls closer together.

When the oscillating mass 1 rotates, its movement is transmitted to the wheel 4 driving the eccentric tenon 7. The two pawls thus receive a reciprocating movement indicated by arrows 17 and 18.

If the pin 7 points downwards in the figure, the pawl. 8, the beak 10 of which has the shape of a hook, exerts traction on a tooth. of the wheel 12 which rotates through a certain angle in the direction of arrow 19; during this movement, the beak 11 of the pawl. 9 jumps on the teeth of the wheel 12.

If the tenon 7 points upwards. in the figure, the pawl 9 pushes with its nose 11 the wheel 12 in the direction of the arrow 19, while the other pawl jumps on the teeth of the wheel 12.

The mechanism described occupies very little space in the movement and makes it possible to use practically all the rotational energy of the oscillating mass.
